I have searched for lag, slow , over clock, precessor and a bunch of other thing's and I can't find where I can find out why the hell my Kaiser is running slow as hell? Like I can't even friggin type sometimes? I close all of the program's and such and it still lag's out. I am wondering if there is a over clock program like there is for the EXCALIBER and or a ROM that people know of that is VERY fast with Window's Live and just simple stuff like that?
Please don't respond with SEARCH, I clearly have and haven't found anything that has to do with it in the title.
Thank you ahead of time.
Try These
Hello carltmac,
From what I've heard, it is not possible to overclock the Kaiser's processor at this time, simply because nobody has written any software to do this. What you can try is this task manager to see if any unnecessary programs are running, and then check your \Windows\Startup folder to see what unnecessary programs are running on startup. You can also download Cleartemp, which I like. All these programs are free. Hope this has all helped,
Dave
Our friend jockey has brought up a Kaiser Overclocking Discussion thread in the past. From what I can tell the Kaiser Processor it Maxed out and is not worth Overclocking.
In fact here it is. Did a quick search and found it.

Check it out if you like.

Has anyone figured out how to get TouchFLO working with Opera Mobile? While Opera's built in "Grab and Scroll" is useful, I like TouchFLO better.
Annoying stuff.
Not to flame you or anything. But is it new here that everybody newb opens a crap topic for every question that pops into their mind??
First search, then search again. still not found? Search again. Not found after that, maybe post something my friend. I don't know why, but this useless topics like this get me on my nerves.

What gets on my nerves is people that respond to these threads thinking they are better than someone else because there post count is higher and they don't contribute to the topic. The better question is why do morons like you feel it is necessary to talk smack instead of being helpful? If you know of a solution I would love to hear it.
Is this not a message board? I'm glad you think the topic is crap, but it may be useful to other people. Also, I may not post frequently but I am certainly not new here. I have searched around and could not find a solution.
I believe I saw a registry hack somewhere I cannot find it right now, that changes the sensitivity of the screen. If I see it again, I will let you know about it.

There was a sensitivity tweak for Hermes... Look at the Hermes wiki...
1st, I assume you are talking about the TouchFlo that enables you to flick your finger to make a page scrolls automatically?
I have been reading this Kaiser forum like crazy for the last 3 weeks and I don't think I have missed many threads. I am pretty sure I have not heard of a solution to make the Flo working. Somehow, the Opera's "grab and scroll" feature was designed to override HTC's TouchFlo. Also interesting is that even if you turn of "grab and scroll", TouchFlow still doesn't work.

Yes, that is exactly what I'm talking about. It's strange because most programs that I have used work with TouchFLO but as you mentioned it is like Opera disables it entirely.
Sane & Tariq: Thanks for the suggestions, I just searched through the Hermes Wiki and could not find anything though.
Anything I should update change straight away, any known issues or problems I should check before the 14 days return period is up ?
Thanks

Seriously though, if you want it for playing videos or games. Some people are unhappy with it's performance. Personally, I'm not.
Don't change anything for the 1st fortnight, but check it does perform how you want it to. I would imagine you'll be happy enough, I love mine. But the only advice you can really be given is to play with it ALOT and see for yourself.
Yer read the forum quite a lot, used it for my orbit, great place, but some of the advice, program information can be fragmented or berried deep in a thread.
Never hurts to ask specific question again now and then to keep the info flowing.
Having fun playing with the phone, great tool.
Sorry, I was pre-empting the response your might get from some people. I came from the o2 Exec and whilst I have customised my Stellar by adding different themes etc, the base device and software is still standard and I've been really pleased. If nothing else the extra onboard memory is great!
If anything you will probably find pretty similar to the Orbit, I know that apart from the size it's not really any different to my old Exec, apart from a heck of alot more stable.
Just install/get some good apps to go with your new piece of kit.
A good backup app
Resco Explorer
TCPMP player
and then make a list of what you do the most.
Do you instant message?
GPS?
What do you want it to do?
Then just start adding things you like and stripping away the bloat you will never use.
Get a microsd card, another battery, a car charger, etc
Yes or the other classic 'google for it'
Yer very same as the orbit indeed, the sliding keyboard is great.
I did notice one of its 'selling' points on the site was you could use, say, TomTom in landscape. Can you change the 'scape' of the screen by touch rather than opening the keypad or going to settings screen and changing it there ?
TCPMP player, forgot that one thanks.
So far I've got
Googlemaps
Taskmanager
Sprite Back Up
GPRS Monitor.
TomTom
On program I would like is a decent alarm clock, nothing complicated just set, sleep wake up.
I'm new to the whole phone modding thing, but it looks to be close to modding my pc?
What I want to know is i see everyone has different a Rom buil etc. Whats the difference between them? I've added a few programs such as voice command, cube, audio manager, FTouchFLO, and a couple of others.
How can I get rid of WMP, TeleNav (replace with a free GPS program) and a few other things I don't like that came on it?
How can I make it a little faster and not so sluggish?
and whats RADIO?
Thanks in advanced.
radio is the software for the phone module which operate gsm/umts part of the device
I've got to say, I'm glad someone posted this. I've been looking around for a few days and I'm still pretty confused. While some of the stickies and wikis are semi-helpful, and I've read all of them that I could find, I'm suprised that there is not a wiki/sticky of the most popular roms, so far I've only really learned about Dutty's but I'd like to know more about the others before I start playing around with flashes.

Thats what got me started. Its probably the best thread with tons of info and links to other threads which explain more.
I literally just bought my at&t tilt today, and when I bought it the guy I got it from suggested I come here to do some digging on modifying/personalizing my Tilt to my liking. Now, I'm somewhat of a computer nerd. I can work through most issues with my PC without having to call customer service or hit up forums or anything. I have no experience with pocket PCs or windows mobile however.
I've read the multiple notices here advising to read around first before asking dumb questions, but I have to say that I'm still completely lost and don't even know where to begin. I really don't have complicated intentions, I'm almost 100% satisfied with the phone as-is...regardless, I still just have no idea what to even start with, so I figured I would just throw that out there and hopefully get pointed in the right direction. Hopefully I'll be able to take it from there, but the tutorials, wikis, and FAQs that I was advised to browse through first (and I apologize if I'm just not seeing it, again I'm a WM noob) just aren't getting me there.
All I'm really interested in doing is changing my home screen. Other things I want to do I don't even know if it's possible to do so, or if I even have to download anything!
So maybe just one more shove in the right direction?
Try This
This is not going to change your rom......This will give a new look totally...I think you'll like it...Install it from your desk top
Peace
Mike
You should get a good start at the wiki here:

IMO You can't beat SPB Mobile Shell even though you have to pay for it, it's well worth it.

I agree here
pointUI
Wisbar advance (check out the skins for this app..)
If you know a bit of XML try RLtoday
oh, and search for "Ultimate launch" on the forum...
ummm check out the second link in my sig.
I'm in the same boat as you. There is so much information here, it's quite overwhelming. I want to get the most out of my device, but I just don't have he time to really get into it.
Well you have to start somewhere, so just say where you want to go.
Would you like to make the phone look different?
Would you like to add your own ringtones?
Themes?
gps stuff?
roms?
seriously look at the second link in my signature.
I suggest that you use it for a while to get used to it, then read, then try changing it. Just my 2 cents.
I'm guessing your question is more basic than the answeres provided. If you just want to change your today screen, check out the "Today" applet under "Settings" on the start menu. You can choose from a variety of default plugins, and some of them have options you can change (simply click the options button if it's enabled). As you install more apps, they may have Today Screen plugins as well.
DO NOT GO THROTTLE LAUNCHER.... i like the guy that developed it but it has become obsolete with manilla 2d, personally i stayed away from flashing for a long time but now that i have started i'm addictted it provides alot better preformance from your ppc, i would highly recommend it
my favorite rom right now is the garmin dk4 manilla just make sure you read up before, its not that complicated once you get the hang of it. biggest thing is make sure to flash hard spl before you flash anything else
Here's some advice from someone who has had pocket pc's for a long time. I am also half a century old, so this advice comes from experience and not theory.
Keep your Kaiser/TyTN II/Tilt, whatever it is, as stock standard as possible. Do not flash new roms etc etc. This is the cause of most problems here unless you are really clued up on this, which it seems you are not at the moment. I won't even try it.
There are many third party apps out there and in here which will not affect the normal functioning and enjoyment of your device. Most of them are freeware.
Today themes are dime a dozen, heck, you can create your own with freeware apps like ThemegenCE (Desktop app which creayes the Tsk file for your device theme and even TKCreator which is a theme creation app directly on your device I (Also freeware and more basic than the former).
You need Total Commander, a freeware File Explorer much better than than one shipped wth the device. Quickmenu 2.7 makes using the device a pleasure and hardly requires the stylus. This provides a task manager, drop down menus, controls for device utilities like bluetooth, wifi, soft resetting etc. You also need Mortplayer which is the best MP3 player and is freeware and of course TCPMP with flashvideo bundle for video clips/movies/flash video from websites etc. This all for free. Heck, here are even freeware GPS apps for navigation out there, eg Amaze GPS and Nav4All, or just go full hog and buy the best like TomTom. TodayAgenda is a Today Plugin for calendar appointments and is one of the best and totally free. S2U2 developed by A_C from XDA is a cool screen saver/slide to unlock app which is free and highly customisable with animated gifs as wallpaper etc.
This would be a good start for you.

MAC

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to introduce myself. Just got my first Windows Mobile phone a few weeks ago. I went with Verizon's HTC Ozone, as it was free and fit my budget perfectly.
Haven't had a whole lot of time to troubleshoot alternatives and solutions to some of my problems, figured I'd list them out in here as I browse the fourms for the answers. If anyone knows the fix for any of this off hand please let me know!
My device is running Windows Mobile 6.5. I understand the memory management on this device does not automatically close programs. This is cool for things like webpages and such that I'd like to multitask on. But when I want to close out of a page making noise, or application producing noise in the background going through all programs -) task manager -) end task can be an inconvience. Is there anyway to close programs via a short cut?
And is there any sort of alt+tab like feature to browse between programs in the memory so I don't have to explore to them to re-up the window?
Also, I've been trying to get morphgear to work as a GBA emulator. It installs and opens but I have 0 control after that. I can open a settings menu but I can't save the changes and if I hit a txt box I am stuck.
Sorry if these are noob questions, I'd look them up myself if I had the time. But I look forward to learning from these fourms and hopefully contributing in some way myself.
Thanks!
