Hello Guys,
i unlocked my CID and flashed my Wizard succesfull but now, I want to flash the old original ROM. I want to know, if the CID is now every time a SuperCID or must I unlock my CID again bevor flashing?
If the CID is still a SuperCID how can I Restore the backup of my original CID for warranty?
CID means carrier id, is that right? Therefor i would say that my colleague with the same Wizard from T-Mobile Germany has the same CID, is that aslo right?
I hope you can help me.
I am also wondering how we can restore the original CID lock...!?
originally i've had k-jam ROM on my wizard but then i've flashed it using aWizard with Qtek ROM and then using RUU with RadioROM. before flashing process i did CID unlock of course. but now i'd like to flash it again with this RUU:
ftp://xda:[email protected]_Prodigy_1060701_101_11310_QTEK_WWE_Ship.exe
but i've a bit doubt about CID unlock, so my questions are:
1) do i have to do it again before using RUU?
2) does this RUU lock CID again so after flashing wizard with RUU will i need to unlock it later?
i already know that using aWizard it's needed to enable RAPI every time but CID unlock matter is not that clear.
just once.. hope that helps

plaese ,how 2 unlock cid for flash rom
thx.....
I have a MDAIII T-mobile hardware with Mr Clean AKU 2.3 T-Mobile UK software.
My boot screen shows:
IPL 2.24
SPL 2.24
GSM 02.25.11
OS 2.24.10.1
It's been a while since last flashed the phone so I may need some help now.
I didn't CID/SIM unlocked the phone but I have received the network unlock code from my operator. I am using other operator's SIM with no problem.
Do I still need to go to 1.xx and CID unlock the phone before upgrading to WM6 or I just need to put 2.26 IPL/SPL ROM to be able to upgrade to WM6. Is there a greater risk of having the phone stucked with network unlocking code required then with the normally locked phone? Will I be able to reuse the unlocking code?

Use WST to check the CID status. If still CID locked then you must downgrade to unlock the CID. Only then you can upgrade to WM6 (but only after upgrading IPL/SPL to 2.xx or higher)

Do I need to go back to 1.xx and unlock the sim as well or can I proceed with upgrading to WM6. Do I neeed to upgrade to 2.26 ROM before going to WM6?

Well, you already have a CID unlocked phone, there's no need to downgrade to 1.xx and CID unlock the phone, but as you say you got a network SIM unlock code and can easily use SIM of any other network, then there's also no need to downgrade to 1.xx and SIM unlock the phone,The Sim unlock has got nothing to do with upgrade to wm6,as its only concerned with using different SIM.Secondly you already have !PL/SPL 2.xx,you can upgrade to wm6,although its highly recommended to flash the T-mobile 2.26,as its proved to be a solid base, but you can still upgrade to any wm6 with your present IPL/SPL 2.24.
Cheers!

Well said my friend.
Just want to add that with lokiwiz the SIM unlock code can be calculated easily and for free.

Thanks ! m8
Have a nice day !
also just for your own info, the phone you have is NOT an MDA III. it is the MDA Vario.
HI
I HAVE DESIRE C
but cid is htc__038
what is this cid?
thanks
I think that cid is HTC India. If you have a software number with x.xx.720.x then its indian.
If you need a RUU for that cid I don't think you can find one as i tryed to find it too(i have an indian cid too...) but with no luck...
If you are rooted you can install one of the working roms for the phone as it ignore the cid.
