Guys, i think my xperia is broken
last night my battery was empty so no big deal i thought.
today i've connected it to the charger to charge and pressed the ON button.
when i pressed it, a red light under the ON button started burning.
i thought? wtf? mayby because it's emty or something.
but after more then 1 hour of charging it still doesn't do anything.. and now even the redlight doesn't show up!
does anyone know what to do?

Hello dear friend, I sympathise with you I had this exact same problem and was worried sick for a day and a half that it was dead! the red light under the power button is the battery fail light (as far as i can tell) it goes on for example when you plug the charger in and remove the battery. I've found if you run the battery down to absolute minimum it almost seems like the X1 cant detect the battery any more and displays the red light. I fixed mine by removing and replacing the battery a few times and plugging it into the wall charger for a few hours. keep trying and dont lose heart, like I say it took me a day and a half (with a sleepless night inbetween
Also mine, but after five minutes it's wake up.
Try simply to remove battery, or performe a soft reset via hardware button with the stylus.
Let you X1 charge for an hour or 2 and it will start up again, guess this is when the phone don't get a enough power to start up.
(Guess it can indicate some other error as well but probably just lack of juice in the battery .. )
thanks guys..
it is still not working but i know that the phone it self is OK.
i wend back to the store and they switched the battery from another xperia.
it worked fine
i'm so happy right now. it's charging at the moment, but still not going on, well, i have to wait and see then.
again: thanks for the posts guys
Mind you... it might take a while! I had it connected to a cheap usb charger for a night (which wasn't good enough obviously) and it took me the better part of a morning to get it to life again with the SE charger. I find it most irritating that this sort of thing isn' t mentioned in the manual. At least not where I could find it. Things like a phone that doesn't want to start make you sweat horribly.
I have this problem with mine but still no luck
Been dead for weeks now.... Finding it hard to get a copy of the receipt too bah
Only had it a month too..
It's prolly one cell in the battery that are "broken".
Had that on my X1. There are 3 cells in the battery and if one of them doesn't work as it should, the battery only delivers 3-3.1 volt.
Your phone "wakes up" at 3.335 volt but dies at 3.1. I've been measure it myself.
My phone are now back in business with a new battery, a new batterycover and latest software. No problem if you have guarantee...
PS... Try to avoid one thing. Avoid heat in battery. Lithium hates heat.

You are right, man.
Usually, if you discharge a battery till the very last drop, it can happen that:
A) one of the cell goes beyond its safety level, and it "breaks". That's unrecoverable, AFAIK.
B) the cells gets unbalanced, and you nedd several charge/discharge cycles to get them balanced and fully recovered.
Add to this that Usb charging is usually unable to wake up an almost totally drained battery. This won't happen with a normal charger, but Usb charging voltage is lower than normal (of course, it's usb not home plug!) so it has not enough power to wake up the dead battery. If you leave your device in charge for some minutes, it will eventually manage to wake the battery.
However, I noticed that the X1 has a bad power management. Usually my X1 low level battery threshold varies between 10% and 5%. One week ago, at 10% it just shut down and won't recharge, showing me the red light over power button. Removed battery 3/4 times and charged with home charger, it gets recovered. Try to plug the charger, remove the battery and insert it again, doing all this with the charger always plugged.
In my opinion, that's really annoying, I never know when it *really* has a low battery!

yeah.. i had that with my P990i (symbian uiq3) phone the batter went in 1 day to 50% now it still has 80%
this same thing happend to me last night, i just pluged it to a wall charger & waited for an hour good thing when i pressed the power button it came back to life. was worried then and now its all good.
i had this on my xperia a while ago i think its just the battery is extremely dead.
after an hour of being plugged it in it turned on again
Red Power button Led
Glad to find this info, the red light gave me the chills at first too. My phone blacked out while using TomTom 7.4 on a stock unbranded NL Rom, after it had given me low batt. warnings. Now it's in the 'home plug' charger, sipping juice on the red light... I hope it comes out of it soon. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody has ideas on checking battery cell failure? Or battery diagnostics of some sort? It would be a shame to use a crippled battery just because you don't know it's operating below its max capacity. By the way, I'm not part of the lucky bunch in possession of a multi meter...
EDIT:
As soon as I hit 'post' the notification Led's display charging! And the red light's off of course. Guess the first post brings some beginners luck, hehe. Anyway, thoughts regarding battery diagnostics etc are still welcome!
Encountered this and according to the helpdesk, it's cos the backup battery is empty so he advised me to charge the phone for half an hour without the battery, and then charge it with the battery after that. Didn't work. Called up the helpdesk again and he said for some, they've to charge (without the battery) for an hour. Ok, tried that. But still doesn't seem to be working. Gonna just leave it charging (with the battery) for a few more hours. If still can't guess I gotta bring it down to the service centre.

Remove your battery, wait 3 minutes, insert again the battery. If you have lost date & time info, no, there is no backup battery, otherwise yes, there is.
Well, anyway, sent my X1 for servicing. Over at the service centre, they tried to 'boost my battery' but couldn't get it working. So had to leave it there for them to work on it.
Just had this same problem, cleaned the battery terminals and hey presto...it's all good again..

Astoroth
Sent my X1 to the service centre with regards to this issue and they replaced the motherboard. They'd tried boosting the battery but no use.
Same problem.. this is what happened
ok, I came back from work an as usually i plug the charger in my xperia, the baterry left was like 30%, ok, then, I connect in the 3.5mm an autput for a big Radio so i can listen full music... so.. in a while, in my house there was a power down.. really fast one... like... 0.01secs... (like down and up really fast).. in that change my cellphone went down =S.. and sice today never get up ='(... there's just that red light in the power button each time I plug the charger on... any help?.. is the same problem of the topic? :S.. plzzz.. i dont have even a month with this pretty cellphone =( poor baby

I have this strange problem that just cropped up. After a full recharge the other day the battery showed normal draining. When I tried to recharge it wouldn't; neither from the wall charger or usb by computer. So the battery showed steady drain unless charging, but never got more charge. Finally when turning on the phone on battery alone it shows 1% charge, and there's nothing I can do about it, the phone will turn itself off.
Diagnostics: I measured the battery voltage and it is ~4.2 volts. This seems like a full battery yet the phone doesn't see it.
I measured the voltage at the battery terminals in the phone while hooked up to charger which was ~4.2 volts. So it seems the battery is being charged.
Why is the phone not seeing the battery charge? Is the battery dead even though it measures 4.2v?
I did run the gps before this happened using gps tool, bit I think I turned it all off. Anyway more than one soft reset didn't help.
Thanks,
Ed

No real answer here but perhaps something to try:
I am dealing with another member who has a similar problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=377675&page=2 From post 17 onward.
With battery in, the orange charge light comes on and all seems normal. However with a few seconds of turning on the message that the main battery is critcally low comes up and the phone turns off. He has tried another battery with the same result. This happens even with the charger connected.
(EDIT: I have now read that his has - for no obvious reason started to work ok - Now even more convinced it's a charging circuit lock-up issue - given time and possibly a bit of battery fiddling and it comes good in the end - see No 2 below)
Now I'm wondering whether this could be one of two things:
1.
A hardware fault - possibly in the charging circuit or more crudely one of the battery circuit board connectors is not connecting.
OR
2.
The circuit that controls charging has to put it crudely become "stuck" in a similar fashion to those who get the RLOD red LED showing when they connect the charger. A commonly accepted trick for overcoming the RLOD is to connect the charger and wriggle the battery on and off the four contact pins. This presumably has the effect of forcing the charging circuit to re-set itself. I just wonder whether it might have the same effect in your situation.
Mike
hey.. that would be me with the similar issue.
i just tried a couple more things.. check out the thread.
More info.
Battery in and out holding the power button had no effect. Phone runs fine while plugged in. Plug it in and after 5 seconds the amber LED turns to red. While plugged in the red led will flash amber every so often.
I measured the battery voltage as I turned the phone on, it dropped to ~ 3.98v, then came back to 4.1v as the phone turned itself off. It gets all the way to my Today screen before going off. Just sitting in the phone with it off is 4.1v. Hook up the charger and the battery sees 4.18 and rising after 20 seconds. These are direct measurements at the battery terminals while in the phone.
So this looks like a software issue to me. The phone is charging the battery and there is plenty of power to run the phone, the phone somehow doesn't see it that way. It sees a dead battery. Well, I guess it could be a voltage sensor gone bad , somewhere somehow. Next step is to hard reset and see if it makes any difference.
edit: While plugged in and the screen on, the led stays amber. When the screen goes off(set for 2 minutes) the led turns red. Screen back on, led amber. I just set the screen not to go off while plugged in(charging), we'll see. The power is showing 7% now and says charging, too early to tell if it's rising or not.
edit 2: It stayed on the charger for several hours and never moved past 7%. Tried a hard reset with no luck. Next step is to send it to a repair shop(I bought it used) and hopefully spend only the $95-$125 they quoted.
Will keep you apprised.

Att Tilt Power/Battery Issues.
I am having somewhat similar issues with my Tilt, with the power/battery problems as described previously. I woke up this morning, and attempted to turn my phone on, and it wouldnt come on at all. I then plugged it into the ac adapter, and the LED comes on, and goes green. I waited a few moments, then powered the phone on to take a look at the battery life, and the phone boots up, then reboots during the splash screen. After it reboots itself, I check the battery indicator and it shows 1%. If I exit the battery screen, and re-enter it, it will say 100%. Now, as soon as I remove the charger from the system, it automatically powers down. I played with it for about 15 minutes, but needed to head to work, so I took the phone with me, and attempted to use my car charger. Same problem. Now, I figured, fine, I'll see how it behaves while I am at work, so I brought my charger to work, and have it plugged in at my desk, and if I leave it plugged in and on, it stays on for about 5 minutes, then automatically reboots. LED stays green, but phone will not stay on, if unplugged, or plugged in for longer than 5 minutes. I have never dropped it, and have babied the phone like no other, concidering I paid $400 for it. I'm a little bummed out, but cant determine if its a battery or hardware problem. Any advice/input for me from any of you guys? before I head to the ATT store, and cry for a new phone? Thanks a bunch for any responses to this.
*UPDATE* After I got off work, I went into my local ATT store, explained the situation, and was given a brand new replacement phone in like 10 minutes. I was under 30 days owning it, so he just swapped it out, barley any questions asked. (altho i explained my situation in detail as it was). So.... hopefully it doesnt happen again, or else I'll have to use the warranty. Anyways, Any insight on what may cause this would always be helpful for both myself and the community. =)
new news
EDIT: They got it Monday and I got it back Friday. Good turnaround! They fixed the problem, it works perfectly now. I recommend these people.
Ed
Sent it off to Cell Phone Repair(CPR) in Chicago that gave me an estimate of $95 (inc. ship. back) based on my description. They just called and told me it was corrosion around and in the power/usb port. They got it yesterday and will send it back repaired tomorrow with a 90 day warranty. No more saunas for this phone(it was only one! )
I'll let you know if they work out well or not.

Ok where do I begin. I love this phone but it's driving me nuts and that's supposed to be your girlfriend/wifes job. My phone seems to be charging EXTREMELY slow. I have batterystatus installed on my phone and when the phone is charging you see the progress bar moving. I've been charging my phone for about 2 1/2 hours now and I'm only at 57 percent, not even using it or having email come to my phone. I'm coming to the conclusion that my battery is shot and I will have to get a new one. Last night I was using my phone and it was charging by my bed. I wake up this morning and the orange LED is on (indicating that it's charging) I'm like wtf it should be green because I've slept for 8 HOURS! I unhook the phone and the battery is at 0 percent and the phone just shuts off on me. I charge the phone and managed to get it to 25 percent before leaving for work. Right now I have my phone plugged into the wall and its taking forever to charge. Should I reflash my ROM and RADIO again. I've been holding off on buying an extended battery because I'm waiting for Seido 3000 Mah Battery.
It's a cheaper option to reflash before spending the money on a new batt.

i know that some radios will eat up ur battery and cause rapid drainage, however i can't conclude that as no idea what rom/radio u r using. i doubt if flashing new rom is gona help. flash a different compatible radio and c if that helps; if not ur sol and probably need new battery.
peace,

You could try putting the phone in flight mode to rule out a radio problem. Assuming no running programs in memory I would conclude a battery or charging circuit issue. I assume both mains charger and USB have been tried.
Ensure battery contacts are clean and the contacts on the phone.
You could try the wiggling the battery on and off the phone contacts method as used for the RLOD issue, just in case the charging circuit needs a kick start. The only note of caution here is that there are two cases (to my knowledge) of this trick possibly causing the rasdio to fail. So if I was trying this I would certainly have it in flight mode first - it is afterall a very crude method of forcing pulses of charge through the circuit.
Mike
I've been using Schaps 4.31 (only rom I have ever flashed, very satisfied with it)
Radio: 1.27.15.32
Problem just started 2 days ago. I tried plugging into another outlet thinking that maybe there was a problem with the outlet I was using and the same thing happens.
I feel like my kaiser is on life support, it hurts. I have to keep it plugged in to have it not die on me. I bought this from a friend 3 months ago for $250 but my Carrier AT&T and my EMPLOYER will not replace it because you can't have a transfer in warranty if you buy it from a friend. I think it's BS but w/e. If not I would have sent it in and got a refurbished one. Any other ideas
Hi gqstatus0685
I had an issue like this years ago. I had no friends who had the same phone so I took it into a store to test it.
You will need YOUR phone / battery AND charger and try it as follows:
1. THEIR charger with YOUR battery (if it works your charger may be broken but your battery is probably fine - if it doesnt work your battery or phone could be at fault)
2. THEIR charger with THEIR battery (this should work - if it doesnt your phone may be faulty)
3. YOUR charger with THEIR battery (again this should work, if not, your charger is probably at fault)
Let us know how you get on.
Cheers

First off, let me state that if you are having possible battery issues where you can't charge, I'd be VERY careful of trying to flash anything else. During the flashing process the phone will not charge. So if the battery goes dead during the minute or so it takes to do this, you will probably brick your device (or at best, not have a bootable phone that will not charge anymore since it can't boot).
This does sound like a hardware issue though. Either your charging circuit is shot, or your battery has died... Definetly try out zippyioa's advice to try to determine what isn't working.
BTW: Does it charge better or differently with USB cable vs the wall charger?
Also since you mention having BatteryStatus installed, turn on the indicator that shows the power. When its charging, what does it show for mA? When its not charging, what does this show?
All of a sudden my phone started to charge again. It charges very slow with wall power kind of like the way it's supposed to charge when connected to USB. Quoate me if I'm wrong but USB charge is slower than wall charge. I noticed that the Orange indicator will be lit noting that it's charging but then all of a sudden the indicator disappears and I have to unhook USB and re-plug it again. That's probably the reason why it's dead when I wake up in the morning. I don't touch the cable or move anything it just stops charging. I also noticed that when I get a missed call, SmS, MMS message it will stop charging unless I dismiss the messages. I haven't really confirmed this but I will. Thanks for the advice guys. You guys are the best.
I'm glad you are up and running again. These things do come and go occassionaly.
You are correct with your view on charging. A USB charge from my PC takes much longer than my wall charger.
Seems odd that your phone stops charging if you get an SMS.
It sounds like something is definitely wrong - a re-flash MAY help BUT as mfrazzz said above I would be very careful as a lack of power during a flash could cause MAJOR issues for you.
Have you managed to get the power back up to 100% yet?
If so, does it hold charge when you unplug it?
If not, what happens if you leave it on charge (I would put in flight mode as Mike suggested above to avoid call/SMS interuptions)
Cheers

If the light ghoes out after charging awhile, then you have most likely damaged the USB port with clumsy hands while trying to reset. Take a look at the USB Port. If it is even slightly curved or lower on the right side even by only a mm. then I'm right. This can cause a bad connection & occasionally can be fixed by gently bending at back into shape. HTC uses two different USB ports on the Kaiser, this is easier to fix on the open ended type, but because it is weaker, it's also easier to break, so be careful.
By default the USB port pin block is arrow straight.
My usb port was f**** up, I bent it back into place and it charges now.
I installed battery meter and when not plugged in I'm displaying:
6% I guess that's CPU usage
29.8 degrees/84 degree Fahrenheit have no idea what that is
87mA It fluctuates the lowest I've seen it was at 60 mA/Highest being 437mA
I'm going to add that my Kaiser has the HTC home plugin and battery meter. I only have one push email acct for my GMAIL. I don't get alot of emails on there. Mostly ones I send myself like files and such. No programs running in the background.
UPDATE**
Ok my phone has been charging all night. I wake up this morning and the charging indicator is orange when it should be green. I unhook the phone and Boom phone turns off. My phone is completely dead. I've been charging my phone for a while now (4-5 hours) and my phone is stuck at 57% does not move up. I'm leaning toward a battery problem. I'm going to put my phone in flight mode to further confirm.

That doesn't sound too good!
Have you tried the tests I suggested above (using store charger/battery)?

I forgot to add and I'm sorry that about a month ago I had my wall charger in my pocket and it fell into the toilet. I still works maybe thats' what's causing the prob. It was working fine after I dried it off and let it sit.
LOL, I would bet a lot of money that is your problem, try a new AC adapter before you buy a new battery.
yeah I'll try to buy another one and see if that fixes my problem. I mean why would it happen now all of a sudden. By the way I just happened to walk by the toilet and it fell in. I had it in my hoody pocket. Don't keep things there they fall easily like my first Kaiser..RIP 2007-2007

Thats definitely not good! Even if it dried out fully the water could have partially damaged the internal circuits. It may have taken time for the charger to go completely.
As I have suggested several times, you need to try another charge/battery!
Do you have a car charger or a friend with the same phone?
Zippyioa
Yeah. I have a car charger I bought from Ebay. Was hesitant on trying since I heard they fry phones. Tomorrow morning I'll go to store and test out my battery and plug. Hopefully it works. Wish me luck
I did some quick searches but I did not find anything to this issue directly. Anyways, I do not know if this where to post my problem or not. But the other day my TyTn stopped taking a charge. The phone is completly dead. Right now I'm on vacation in a remote location with out access to any local AT&T to get a battery. But the problem is that the battery is not taking a charge. The red charge light is not on or anything. I left the phone on the charger for two days and nights with no results. I ordered a battery but will not have it untill I get home in another week. I have Dutty's 6.1 5.2.19199 UC Compliant ROM on the phone and I've been using it for about 10 days now. Everything was working fine. The phone was getting warm during GPS useage and when charging. Right now I hope that its just the battery. But in case its not, I need to know what my options are. Is the phone dead? What other measures are there to bring it back to life?
I tried charging the phone using the USB from the computer and from the charger direct off the house current with no luck. I would remove the battery and soft reset and for awhile I would get a boot up but it would stop right as it was comming up to the home screen.
Thanks in advance.

That gives a tad of hope. What happens if you remove the battery, put it back in, and then connect the charger, without turning the phone on. If it IS possible to turn the phone on, it should start charging at this point. If the battery was under the safe discharge threshold and that prevented it from charging the phone most likely wouldn't agree to turn on at all.
If you manage to get the charging light that way, leave it on charge for an hour before turning it on again.
If not, wait till you have the new battery. If it works all is fine, if not your charge circuit is probably dead and you'll most likely have to send the phone for repair.
"No Light of Death Syndrom"
Thanks for your reply. So far what I've done is;
1. I removed the batery and left it out for a few hours and let everything sit. A few minutes ago I reinstalled the battery and no change. There is still no light on the phone.
2. I tried touching the battery contacts repeatedly with the battery as per a suggestion from another post on this subject, but it was the "Red Light of Death syndrom". I have the "No Light of Death Syndrom"
After trying to use the reset button and holding the power button and removing the battery, I still have nothing.
Its just frustrating because I do not have a second battery or access to one till I get home in another week! I was just wondering if I could trouble shoot this somewhat untill I get home to know what I'm really up against.
Anyone have good news for my situation?!
The same thing happened to me yesterday with my ATT tilt. Luckily I have a desktop holder with a spare battery charger that works fine. But once the battery is in the device, it will not charge. Have ordered a new batttery but am not sure that it will solve the issue. It may be a software problem. Will keep trying to workaround and keep you updated.

Hardware, rather... There's not much if any software coming into play to charge the battery, especially when the phone is off. If it still doesn't work with another battery (I'm pretty sure it won't as your battery charges on the desktop charger), just send the phone for repair.
I just had the same thing happen to mine. I was useing skype and all of a sudden it just stoped charging. The usb port does not work(charge or sync.) I have tried everything(hard/soft resets, battery removal and play...) to no avail.
Have any of you found a solution????
Figured it out. My usb port went out completely. Have to replace it.
Recently my ATT Tilt was working great until I charged it overnight once. Before i charged it i flashed it, maybe thats why it stopped working. I charge it all night and then wake up and still have an orange light not green. Then today i tried to jumpstart my battery and then i woke up the light was green. I was excited but when i turned it on it said low battery then shut off.
idk what it is battery or hardware.
and i think my warranty is out! "/
Can someone plz help me out.
Quality control was out of the building at HTC when they built the Tilt!!! Same problem

Damn Kaiser. Same problem. Will come on when the cable is connected to the laptop or when I connect the charger. Is this the same problem.
im having similar problems, get a multimeter and test the voltage on the battery before and after charging to see if the battery is the culprit.
maybe even try jump starting the battery and seeing if the voltage changes... my battery wont even hold a 1% charge
wow, 4 different people at the same time. I say try running the phone while it is connected to a power source (charger, computer). If it works fine there, I'd say order a new battery if you want to use it still. I just order a new battery for mine for about 15 bucks. Mine is not at the point yours is. My battery is good for about half a day or maybe 2 hours of a phone conversation and its toast. In standby with every thing turned low, it can go for a while but if I use it, it drains fast.
Good luck, and please update us on your status.
I just posted a similar problem I had with a friends Kaiser
My friends Kaiser is no longer charging properly and I have not been able to ascertain the problem.
When plugged in the Orange LED light comes on as normal and the phones says charging under power(settings), however the power levels continue to fall.
I have tried charging with AC charger as well as USB and used two different batteries that I confirmed working in my Kaiser.
the USB socket looks to be in perfect shape and I have cleaned all contacts. I am at a loss just hoping some one can shed some light
The main thought I have (not really helpful though) is that I have my kaiser to test with and both batteries are fine the phone simply wont charge them.
I let my phone battery die, and now I can't turn it on.
Usually I get a red light which goes when the battery is in if its charging.
Sometimes I get a red light even when the battery is in and its charging.
If I do a soft reset, sometimes I get a flashing red light on the sides but then nothing.
I managed to get it back briefly by doing all manner of hard resets and soft resets, and taking the battery out and putting it back in over and over again for about half an hour...
Then I left it charging for half an hour or so and carelessly allowed the battery to die again because I needed to take it with me somewhere - so the same thing has happened again.
I left it charging overnight but I'm not having any luck with it this morning... any help would be much appreciated.
yeah similar problem here. my phone warned me the battery was low... i ignored the warning and used it until it died completely. then it wouldn't turn on. it was late so i just plugged it into the wall charger that came with the phone. i dont think it charged cause in the morning it was still flat. if anything i think having it connected to the charger while not charging drained the last a few drops of juice out of it. had a number of confusing red lights coming up in different spots at different times.
i read on here some guy managed to charge it by getting 3 AA batteries and connecting them directly to the battery for a couple of minuets. i did this and managed to turn the phone on! hoooray!
it had 1% and died in less than a couple of minuets even though i had it on the charger. tried the 3 AA battery trick again but to no avail. i think my battery is dead.
i'm pretty certain i will need to get a new one. i hope you are able to get yours working without buying a new battery.
im really annoyed the Sony Erricson batteries work out to be close to $100 AU. i would prefer to get a legit one... but does anyone have any experience with unofficial batteries? are they any good?
Sorry you're in the same boat... Ericsson really should have made this phone so that it can run out of battery.
Interesting - tell me more about the 3 AA battery trick!
sounds like the cells in your battery isnt balancing hence its dying...think you'll need to buy another one / or at least try another one to make sure it is and not the phone...
Hmmm... I fiddled and pressed buttons and took out the charger and put it in, and then kept pressing the on button while I was doing something else...
Suddenly it made the click noise, but it's not back yet.
It seems to have crashed on the 'Sony Ericsson' start up screen with the green logo.
I don't know if it's charging or not, so I'm not sure whether to turn it off to try again (at the risk of losing the battery), or leave it to charge as it is before I turn it off and can't start it again....
At least it's progress
There are a couple vof threads with many solutions. Look for them, they are very useful.
Yeah I've found a few - Thanks... just nothing they mentioned has worked yet
I think the problem I have may be a slightly different now anyway...
Now, if I unplug it I can't turn it on, but if it's plugged into my computer cable I can get it (every time - after about 3 minutes) to go to the Sony Ericsson loading screen but no further (as if there is no hard reset file for it to load). I can do that by plugging it in, then doing a soft reset (which produces flashing lights on the side) then holding on until it clicks (usually trying that a few times). When it clicks the lights on the side flash and it looks like it charges for a second before the lights go off and its just hte loading screen. I left it for 5 minutes and it turned off completely. Nothing happens if it's plugged into the wall cable at all.
Have you any idea how I might be able be get something to load after the loading screen?... Or any thoughts as to whether you think it's likely to be charging when its on that screen?
Thanks
Hmm... It seems you have a software problem as well.
Here is what I would do: get another battery (fully charged) and try one of these hard reset methods:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437607
Something should work...
Sweet - I managed to get the hard reset screen to ask me the question about going back to factory defaults... after that the lights on the side are coming on to show its charging....
I guess there's a chance that when the battery is charged it'll have the juice to get past the loading screen... I hope anyway.
Wow this title gave me a heart attack almost
i thought someone is dead
plz i need help
hello good day plz i neesd to flash my htc p3600 and sony ericcson cybershot i need a software i can use to flash them plz help me any body that has an idea
just ordered a 1800mAh mugen power replacement battery. should be here in about a week my old SE k800i will be getting a bit of a work out in the mean time.
i think this break from unnecessary technology which I'm far too attached to will do me good. I'm far too materialistic.
hope you manage to get your battery going again!
