Hi all,
I'm new to this and own a Touch Pro recently.
I started to write some games on it and NavTetris is my first window mobile game project. I would like to share it with all of you as a christmas gift.
NavTetris is a Tetris game for touch pro (It may work on Diamond as well but I don't have a Diamond to try it on). Tetrominoes can be moved and rotated based on the readings from accelerometer and scrollwheel sensors. It should work on both Portrait and Landscape modes.
[How to play]From v0.3 onwardsTetrominoes can be moved by tilting your device to the left or right, or by using the "left" or "right" key.
Tetrominoes can be rotated by using the scrollwheel (both directions), or by using the "up" key (only clockwise direction).
Tetrominoes can be dropped instantly to the bottom by using the "Enter" key. The dropping can be accelerated by press and hold of the "Down" Key.For v0.1 - 0.2Tetrominoes can be moved by tilting your device to the left or right, or by using the "left" or "right" key.
Tetrominoes can be rotated by using the scrollwheel (both directions), or by using the "up"/"enter" key (only clockwise direction).
Tetrominoes can be dropped to the bottom by using the "down" key.[How to install]*** Please uninstall previous version first before installing any new version ***
Download the attached cab and install.[Version History]
v0.4 - Touch pro background contributed by aruppenthal
v0.3 - Changes Include:
A small reduction in program size
The 'Enter' key is now mapped to drop Tetrominoes instantly, while 'Down' key is now only used to accelerate the dropping
Autosave and Autoload features. Game will be saved automatically when you exit or kill the program.
v0.2 - Fixed bug in resume mode (Discovered by rareness4)
v0.1 - First beta releaseI don't know whether I will have enough time to maintain it, but comments are always welcome. I hope you'll like this game.
Thank you sir! It's working great and is really great for you first project!
Heres a cab file for everyone...
OP, just PM if you update and I'll update the cab.
Very good... This is working good so far with one exception but not a major one; Rotation with the accelerometer is a little flaky for me.
I recommend...
Thanks for the game. One problem though, when it says "press enter to resume", I'd press enter but it wouldn't resume.
thanks guys
Nice Game
Thanks for the Game!

Read this article for more information about the SDK:

Let's try this in VB.net, as soon as I manage to get it to work I will try to write some games (don't know if I can but I will try )
I hope someone can create some kind of calibrating tool, mine needs to be calibrated really bad.
I'm still working on a new app which uses the sensor, but it'll takes a bit time, until i can release it.

ahaa.. godd news. v all r waiting.
This really does allow developers to start making some killer apps for our diamon. Carnt wait to see what pops up over the next few weeks!!
Hi I've a idea is:
1) When shake on vertical (UP => Down => UP) then LOCK the phone
2) When shake on horizontal (LEFT => RIGHT => LEFT) then UNLOCK the phone
I think this is so cool when you use the phone ^_^
So, here is my app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406769
@Wolfblood: I can do this, if i have time, because it is not so different than my new app. Instead of changing the profile, i would change the lock status.

Maybe there could be a sticky thread with links to the apps which make use of the g-sensor?
I am about to develop a very, very simple spirit-level app for teh diamond just to get used to the sensor api for C# http://blog.enterprisemobile.com/2008/07/using-htc-diamonds-sensor-sdk-from-managed-code/
btw: is there any information on other apis as for instance to the vibration, the camera etc.? i couldn't find anything for the touch diamond

What about an app that answers a phone call with a shake? i belive they had it on the Nokia n95 if im not mistaken.

Did anyone managed to get this to work in VB.NET instead of C#? I know VB.NET but not C#...

That feature was on the Athena .. VueFlo I think it was called
Would be pretty sweet indeed.
One question though .. if we had more than one app making use of the tilt sensor, so say Gsen and the Profile switcher (haven't tried the latter yet, sounds great though), would they both work together?
Very nice very nice, the idea by Mr. Stesa, ill like my diamond to wake and .... !
peace.
Can somebody post a "Hello World" package with the included dll for VisualStudio 2005?
Tilt Sensor Calibration
I think a VERY usefull application will be a sensor calibration app, may Diamonds including mine, have sensor declination.
You can test it laying diamond without backcover in a flat table, you can se if Teeter ball´s stay without moving or it´s going to anyway, in my case, it going down and to the left.
I Don´t know if this calibratión can be stored in registry and make it permanent, but this would be great. Calibration app only have to ask user to put diamond in really flat an leveled surface to make the work.
Thanks for this great stuff.

Hi Sushilange,
Thanks for you hear my voice ^_^
Today I've think more what can we do on Diamond. Then I think maybe we can add function key + shake to do more. Like:
1) Hold Down the Vol Down Key + shake horizontal = Play Next Music/SMS/Email/Photo
2) Hold Down the Vol Up Key + shake horizontal = Play Previous Music/SMS/Email/Photo
3) Hold Down the Action Key [The Round Button] + shake to Right = Move the TouchFLO3D Tab to Next Right Tap
4) Hold Down the Action Key [The Round Button] + shake to Left = Move the TouchFLO3D Tab to Next Left Tap
5) Hold Down the End Key + shake = Close all application
6) Hold Down the Phone Key + shake = Open the Contacts
7) Hold Down the Back Key [←] + shake = Switch to Next Running application
8) Hold Down the Home Key + shake = Open your favorite application
9) Hold Down the Power Key + shake = Turn the LCD in WHITE and MAX the Backlight, So Diamond become a supper flashlight!
10) When not press any key + Rotation = Auto-Rotation just like GSen
See the Diamond can do a lot of things and iPhone can go back to home
Maybe if can open those setting for user then they can custom the action what they need will be best for all people ^o^
Sushilange, You are very cool and you creating a very cool tools too ^o^
Shake to Wake UP
I'm one of you guys waiting to see any app that will wake the device up from stand by just by shaking it. If anyone has any info please share it. Thank you.
I dunno if I'm only one who has this problem but when I'm occasionally on sun I can't see nothing on my Kaiser and it's really difficult to setup backlight brightness on touchscreen which u can't see.... So I've been looking alot if there is some utility which I can link with button or gesture and I haven't found anything... So I've wrote my own utility. Feel free to use it as well if u find it useful -> http://lobster.ic.cz/?page=bl
is this useful or is there easier way to do that??
Been searching for an app like this for a week.
Works great!
Thanks.
Here's another program that gives you a today plug in for it:

I'll b trying yours tho as I like the idea of UL with icons for up and down
Cheers,
Matthew
I made a cab with this program mapped to the PTT button. I have a AT&T Tilt, Im not sure if your phone has a PTT button or if its called something else or whatever.
With this, just run the cab then I tap the button and it changed the brightness really quickly, no menu or anything, I love it! If I walk out into the sun I just tap the button 3 times and my screen is bright.
Lobsterii, I love this program thanks a ton!
I'm glad that I could helped u out guys... actually there might be more funny stuff possible only if HTC release some documentation on theirs DLL files cos it's pain to guess arguments...
you did it all by guessing? I figured you would have decompiled the dll.
Truly excellent! I have also been looking for something like this for a long time.
I figured I might as well kick off the feature requests that always follow a new release: How about the option set both battery and power brightness with one command? Perhaps by a special switch, or by only specifying the brightness level (i.e. no 'b' or 'p' switch)? Or is there a way to do it already?
Thanks again for a useful app!

I've read some forum where someone pointed out that backlight function should be in some dll by HTC dunno where it was... Then I was googling "dll find export function" and I've found prog "DLL Export Viewer" which can show function names in dll. Unfortunatelly there is generally impossible to find out how many/what arguments the function has. So I've found function name like HTCUtilSetOnBatteryBrightnessLevel and I've simply try prototype int HTCUtilSetOnBatteryBrightnessLevel(int); but it crashed... so I keep going like int HTCUtilSetOnBatteryBrightnessLevel(int*); and it worked... voila...

Nice improvements! how about another a switch so that it will toggle between brightest to dimmest? So if this was used it would just go between 1 or 10 and none in between.
Thanks for implementing the feature I was looking for. A perfect application - it's small and fast, and it gets the job done with excellence.
Thank you. Works perfectly.

hmhm... what I wouldn't do for y... There is new version 02 (on my web at the same place) where u can setup your own sequence. Length of sequence might be from 1 to 10... values are as usual from 0 to 9... But numbers must not repeat (known feature I don't see point to solve it) so u can set something like "bl02.exe 0 5 1 9 3" or whatever else... enjoy
Report any found bugs... I mean it's super simple but it's 4 am so I'm half sleeping...

Well done! I've been looking for ages for something to do this.
How to use bl02...
Something from lobsterii that helped me:
create link in Total commander (file manager) I think its in options "File -> >>>>> -> Create shortcut" then I have another file bl02.lnk then I open properties of the lnk file, I click tab shortcut and put the text of path into "" and after it I wrote parameters so it looks like
"\Program files\bl\bl02.exe" 1 3 9
OK dumb question and first time posting so don't slaughter me. If I understand the thread correctly this will put large buttons to adjust from the Backlight screen....correct? Is there a program (other than the PTT button which I'm using) that will allow a button or swipe to adjust the brightness without having to open the brightness display? If you get far enough to open the utility then its not that hard to move the brightness up. Sorry for the dumbness of the question.

There is plenty of programs to map this app to buttons, finger swipes and some other crazy stuff like voice commands etc.. For example I'm using FTouchFlo (u can use FTouchSl which is easier to configure) and map backlight change for finger swipes... Most easy way is just copy blXX.exe to /Windows/Start Menu/Programs/blxx.exe and then go to Start->Settings->(tab)Personal->Buttons and link it with some buton...
I'm just now at work so have no time for more explanation... but Once I get home I'll create some FAQ at download page cos... cos it'll be easier for all of us
dont sweat it that was a perfect explanation and I now have it helped me to get it running to a button.
One other quick question though....I have S2U2. So the button doesn't work until I have unlocked it (which sometimes is hard to see going out to daylight) is there any way (easy way, Im no programmer)to allow the button to work (that is brighten the display via the button I have it mapped to) while it is still locked?

I'm sure he won't be able to bypass A_C's S2U2, but (assuming you have a Kaiser, you didn't say) if you enable dpad in S2U2 you can always hold your right dpad button to make sure S2U2 is unlocked, even if you can't see the screen, and then hit the button for the "bl02.exe 9" link.
Ha ha...you guys are awesome! Right Dpad enabled and now it works like a charm even in the brightest sun!! Thanks for the great application...makes a big difference in usability.
Some of you experts ought to make a list of these application gems (this program/kaeser tweaks etc) to make it easy for the noobs like me. This is good stuff!!
Hey guys,
Here is the promised fix for the TF3D landscapemode. This is for english ROMs only. For any other language you have to fix the Program Files paths.
This SHOULD work on any english ROM with TF3D.
1. Install cmEXlandscape.cab
2. Install SecondToday.cab
3. Softreset
Note that this is only a WORKAROUND, so there may be minor bugs, but in general it should work fine.
http://rapidshare.com/files/183521003/cmEX_landscape_WWE.rar
---> Don't close Second Today. Best if you add it to the exclusive list of the HTC Taskmanager.
bye
Ah, that's interesting indeed... Will try it out. Thanks
what exactly does this workaround?
tnx for your work
A step in the right direction anyway...works reasonably well.

ehm... I mean what tecnically does. How it works
running secondtoday with rltoday in background. mortscripts makes it active windows when device is put into landscape and minimized when going back to portrait.
What happens when I will minimize all windows (red button press)?? What if I am not using the TF3D Panel (for whatever reason)
It will minimize SecondToday if you press the HangUp button. Not running TF3D won't run the script at all.

Is it possible that Jack's V1.06 ROM does not work with this workaround?
If anyone is using these .cabs with Jack's, please shout it out! We'd most likely have an answer then.
This does not work with the TF3D Panel... does it?
First I would like to state that none of the graphics in this cab file are my work. I don't know who made them but it wasn't me. Also, I am not the developer of psShutXP.
What I did was fix psShutXP so that it replaces the Long-Press Power Key. Instead of having a lame, white "Do you want to shut down" window that pops up when you hold the power button, you will have a nicely skinned psShutXP window that gives you the options to turn off the display, power off the device, reboot the device, hard reset the device, and even gives you the options to set reboot schedules.
Note that ALL functions are working in this cab that I put together including Shut Down.
I made 2 cab files. One for the Fuze and one for the Touch Pro.
Screenshots:
Very neat app. it matches my black theme.
not questioning, but wondering what the diff is with this one and the cab from the diamond forum for psshutxp that works on our fuze's to map it to longpress power key?
I just override the original .exe file with renamed psShutXP.exe and put the skin in the same directory, works like a charm
//Edit
From what I can see, your CAB does exactly the same thing .

Lol nope. Just the themes. This cab file is actually the best way to go IMO because it offers the Shut Down capabilities of PowerOffWarning.exe with the added looks and functionality of psShutXP.

Wow, I did the exact same thing about a month ago on my TP ROM. Used the same skin too but slightly modified.
Did you just renamed PsShut or did you do something differnt? I havent had a chance to look yet at the cabs. For my cab's I renamed PsShut to Poweroff warning.exe or whatever. I then made it into kitchen selections. If anyone is interested I can upload them when I get home.

perfect reset tool for me
That's exactly what I've been looking for, with the perfect skin for my Touch Pro (resp. T-Mobile MDA Vario IV), thanks for your good work!
Just a remark: on my device it installed to the Windows directory and did not create a link e.g. in startmenu/programs, made that manually since I like the additional possibility of resetting without need of using hardware buttons, could be a further improvement.
The basic psshutXP from developpers web site did that, maybe it's also a good idea to leave the link to that site here:
http://ppcsoft.narod.ru/english/index.htm
There you'll also find additional skins, though these black HTC adapted skins from above are perfect.
so... psshutxp "shutdown" function of this cab... really power off the device or just send it to stan by? its works for QVGA?
Thanks for the utility. I think it is very useful.
Question - after installing, it places itself into the System Tray in the Today's screen. Is there anyway of removing it - afterall, using this utility is already so easy via the power button.

http://ppcsoft.narod.ru/english/users_skins.htm
You'll need those one for QVGA devices, also a HTC adapted black skin is there.
It turns off device, switches display off or restarts your mobile, even hard reset is possible with some 'hidden' button on upper right side, with confirmation pop-ups...
i mean, this really turn of the phone, i got psshutxp cooked on my own rom with my own psshutxp skin
excellent app
thank you!!! not much but here you go 29275987W5492260D
This is still not shutting down my Touch Pro (CDMA, MightyRom 4.16). When I press "shutdown" it just turns the screen off. And now it has taken over my power button, so I REALLY can't shut down.
EDIT: Actually, I see that by long-pressing the power button, and pressing shutdown on this tool, my phone actually does shutdown. But it doesn't work when I launch the program instead of pressing the power button. Is this what is intended?
Grrr... i haven't been active for a while now since i'm EXTREMELY busy and as you can also see i'm not a mod anymore, unfortunately (hope i can come back as one soon).. but i'd like to drop these off.
I was sort of sick of having to blindly search for letters and numbers.. so.. hope this supports any of you.
now... XXL means XXL... this is big (oh and portrait only, i might add landscape later on).
btw, this goes for QVGA, VGA and WVGA altogether tho the pics are all from my WVGA Blackstone (it looks the same on all devices except that in VGA and QVGA screens you have less room on top.)
Installation: copy all files to your Finger Keyboard/Skins dir and load the Finger Keyboard configurator. choose EngXXL or HebXXL and remember to backup your digits txt file because this one replaces the original one.
cheers.
p.s you're all invited to change this layout and add your own language.. you're also invited to send it over so i can add it to the thread.
its not working in my omnia i900
Nice, key sizes are basically perfect on the HD2!
Only change I would make is probably shift the position of the next layout/digits button... it's a bit inconsistent having it jump around between the left corner and next to the spacebar.

Did you copy the files into the Skins directory of FingerKeyboard, open up FingerKeyboard Config, and un-check "eng"? The new layouts are called "engXXL" and "hebXXL" or something similar.
no d-pad? too bad...

bcoz neither options at other sites are convincing (vdpad is too big for my 320* 240 resolution- 90% screen hiding, volume dpad too inconvenient, fingerkeyboard occupying 60% screen)-- i cant play games smoothly/ nor read ebooks without touching/rubbing / eroding my touchscreen.
thanx, waiting for your another hit but for me.
