Cant remove PIN - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi!
I have a weird problem.
I have tried to remove the pin code on my device but i always get wrong pass/code.
I can change the pin OK, but cant remove it.
Even tried entering it three times to get to the PUK code, entered that one and changed pin. But still cant remove it.
So annoying to enter the code every time the device boots.

tried to uncheck "require pin when phone is used"
in settings phone ?

Yeah, thats when i get "Warning : Invalid old password. Please try again."

Same problem here. I'm unable to remove the pin code.
I unchek "require pin..." type my pin to validate and always get wrong pass/code.
Can anybody help me?

Enter Pin?

Why when you boot your phone you always have this "enter pin" screen? How can I get rid of this? I've unlocked my phone quite some time ago....This might be a dumb question but i've searched by "enter pin" or "phone pin" or "pin" and I cannot find an answer.
You have a PIN on your SIM card. Go into the Settings->Phone->PIN/PIN2 screen and uncheck the box. You will need to put in your PIN to remove it from the SIM card.
Yup, Genesis3 is right,
You might have set a PIN on your sim card.

Hardware reset?

Hi guys, i have an s730 from work, and last time i was in work they had activated some security stuff that by defaults locks my phone when it goes idle, needing me to type a pin in. I typed the wrong pin in 5 times, and now the phone asks for a password, is there a default password here or some way to reset the entire phone?
data loss is no problem, i just need it functional
please note that i am not talking about the sim-pin lock.
Best regards - Fredrik
PUK? If so get it from your mobile provider. Or 0000?
hi, and thx for your reply, but no, i dont think it could be the puk code. since my sim kode is still working, i enter the sim-code, and get into the phone, i can recive calls, but i cant open any menues, i cant read sms etc. because a "phone lock"
i think this "shell lock" (directly translated from norwegian/swedish) was activated from exchange on our corp servers.
id appreciate any input.
best regards , Fredrik

[Q] I can't unlock my phone!

Hi guys. I have a problem a bit similar to the ones I read earlier but my problem is that I entered my PIN code and phone didn't recognize it. Now I should have an option to enter PUK code and everything would be fine, but I don't have that option. My screen says: "Take a look at the manual or contact with your service provider" (something like this, my phone language is Polish so I may translate something not correctly). I did take a look at the manual but there was nothing that could solve my problem so I'm asking you, members of xda community, is there any way to solve this problem without taking phone to my GSM provider?
If you are using custom rom try full wipe maybe it would hep
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
It didn't work, but it turn my phone language into english so I can write what it says:
"SIM card is PUK-locked."
"Please see the User Guide or contact Customer Care."
If you inputted a incorrect PIN for too many times the SIM card will lock up and require the PUK to reset the PIN failure counter - that much the phone is actually doing right.
If you don't have a possibility to enter the PUK then all you can do is to see a service point of your mobile operator to have the SIM card resetted.
There's pretty much nothing you can do as that's a security function of the GSM card and not the phone or the OS.
EDIT: Any chance entering **05*<PUK Code>*# or **05*<PUK Code>*<New PIN>*<New PIN confirm># works? (in case you can get to the dialer)
I can get to the dialer, but I didn't know that I can enter PUK there, I'll give it a try and write either it worked or not.

Click to collapse
The second method worked! Thanks! When I use this first method it says that is either connection problem or MMI code is invalid.

need help unlocking focus flash, sim error

I didn't see a focus flash forum and it is very similar to the focus s internally so wanted to try posting here. I just got a focus flash from ebay as well as an unlock code and put my t-mobile sim in the phone. However, when I enter the code and tap enter, it says "sim error". I can cancel the unlock prompt and go to the metro ui, and there's a little sim icon with a lock on it. If I take out the sim card and restart, instead of the unlock prompt, I get a little box that says "sim error" and a message about missing or invalid sim. The little sim icon at the top has a little (/) instead of a lock. What could be the problem? It also says no network found in the cellular section of the settings.
same issue
i am having the exactly same issue with my focus flash, can any one help ?? and if the op user found out the solution please share
How many times have you tried to enter the unlock code? Id used to be (and probably still true) that trying more then five times will lock your phone permanently. You should get back to the person who provided the code and inform them of the issue. Double check your IMEI number when you contact them. One wrong digit in IMEI will generate a wrong code.

How to unlock phone (locked after 5 PINs attempts)?

Suddenly my phone get locked after 5 incorrect PINs entered (were input by mistake in my pocket?). The phone shows error msg with Sony logo saying that I have 5 attempts and 5 attempts used. It also has some input field, but my PIN code is not accepted (just nothing happens, no any new error msg). The phone is rooted. But I want to recover this particular setup with all data, apps and its settings, corporate certificates - don't have recent backup .
Was it a phone pin or sim pin?
If the sim pin fails it will ask for a puk code. You need to call your carrier to get it.
This is not quite clear from the message (it says about PIN code, graphic key), but I think this is not SIM lock, since when I made recovery, it doesn't require any PIN.
