hey, I ran into a problem with my phone. It starts up but I can only see what's in the homescreen if I go into mail or messages it says please wait, and the star doesn't work anymore; and the phone isn't receving any texts or calls. I've tried restarting it plenty of times and been watching the please wait thing on my phone for an hour now... Is there anyway to fix this?

hey there,
yesterday i switched my sms notification sound to a costum one (a song from one of my albums). today at work a got mail and, oh my god, the phone didn't stop to vibrate and play the song. i had to softreset the diamond as quick as possible to keep peoples attention on me as small as possible...
it didn't stop even after reading the sms, entering or leaving the mailbox and so on...
question: how the heck do i get the diamond stop vibrating and stuff after receiving new sms?
help will be welcome
I have this same issue
It's happened to me twice. The first time, it would not stop vibrating until I removed the battery from the phone! The second time, a power-off took care of the issue.

As I always say fellasss:
When things go sour just Hard Reset and try again.
If problems persist try with different ROMS.

Whenever I receive a call when I'm already on a call, I never hear a beep or anything to indicate that a call is coming in. When I hang up, I see that I have a missed call. Once when I was looking at the screen, it showed an incoming call (call waiting), but no "beep" or anything...
Any ideas?

Upgrading cyanogen constantly and finally downgraded for cyanogen3.4 to 3.3.8, cuz my phone was shutting itself off every 6 or so hours.. Now, it is running AMAZING... Just no BEEP for call waiting.. It isn't that big of an issue, but still would like it to work..
I think it is something that needs to be PUSHED into the phone and reseting the phone and taking battery out will not do it..

Hate to dreg up a post from two months ago, but I'm having the same issue on my G1. I'm running soullife's Rogers 2.9.2, but have experienced this on other ROMs as well. Wiped, flashed, wiped again... nothing.
I've been scouring the forums to no avail. It's been reported a few times but I can't find a resolution.
Could it be something to do with stripped ringtones or notifications? I'll fiddle with them and see what I can find...
Any tips would be appreciated!

Ive had this issue for some while, but it's really bugging me..
I turn on my phone after being down in the bunker at work all day (no signal there)
I get a flurry of text messages and my phone also works..
But i look in my outbox, my messages are sitting there waiting to be sent..
after 5 mins I hit "send/receive" it either fails.. or seems to do nothing.
I turn the airplane mode on and off to reset..
same issue.
I turn the phone off and on
same issue.
Now, if my phone can make phone calls and accept/send text messages, why doesnt the phone send/pick up emails.
(and yes i have it sent to send me them straight away etc)
It's not all the time, but it does happen a fair bit.
Its one of the bugs that realy bugs me!!!

Can you connect to the internet as soon as you leave "the bunker"? Email requires an active internet connection. SMS and phone calls do not. Some areas with weak signal can give you a phone signal but with no internet.
Some warnings like "message cannot be sent because bla bla..." or something else?

ahh you see, i thought that if i had phone connection (but had no 3g/g/edge etc) then my emails/internet would work too , but just very slowly..

is annoying though how it can sometimes take ages to get an internet signal.. where as on some days its almost instant.
I've been having this problem for a few months now. I'm from holland and I already emailed my provider but the told me they can't help me.
So there are a few things happening:
My screen lights up but there's no message coming in. A few minutes (or hours) later I get the message that was supposed to be received at the time it lit up. Sometimes when I go to comm manager and turn the radio on and off or just soft reset the phone, I also receive the texts.
I send/receive messages when I start using the phone, like when you open a menu or something.
Sometimes I keep getting the same texts over and over again from the same person.
I've tried a few different ROMs so that can't be the problem.
Someone told me about flashing a new radio maybe that could do it?
Please help me??

Hi and Happy New Year
I hope someone can help me. I updated to the new official 2.2.1. Reinstalled all the apps. That took an evening and half a day. Problem I have is, I can't reply to an incoming txt msg. I compose the msg and then when I send it T=the msg bubble goes grey and says 'failed'.
I can compose a new msg in a new thread and send it ok, but I can't reply to a thread that has incoming msg. I have to start a new thread or use the one that did send. Its very annoying. I'm on T Mobile, my mms setting are up to date , they sent me new ones.
I am totally stuck for ideas now apart from factory resetting but that would mean I am back to square 1 again. This is spoiling my party plans lol. Can anyone suggest what I should do please?

Why did you remove them ???
Use a program like AppBrain just installed mine tops one hour .

Terrible lag
Hi I didn't remove them I just did a factory reset after I upgraded the ROM. This lag is getting worse, its more like a freeze now. It freezes in swype now the buttons go blue and stick there while I wait for the lag to stop.
The only thing I think it could be is an app thats causing it as my friends have no trouble with theirs. Anybody else fiding the same??
