Manilla 2D : problem with clocks skins ... - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Themes and Apps

Hello,
my manilla 2D is working fine, but when I try to change the default clock by a custom one, I meet a problem :
at first, the new clock works very well. Then, usind M2DC, I remove the analog clock, I go back to the home screen, and there I see that the digital clock has got a problem : it's a mess ! Instead of having 4 digits, I have 5 of them ...
I know that some other people met this problem, but I searched in this forum for hours and couldn't find any solution ...
Does anyone know where does my problem come from ?
Thanks a lot !

Which version of touchflo and m2dc are you using? Try looking in this thread that deals with touchflo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425851

I have the latest one (from the 13th december). I also tried with previous releases ... Same problem ... I really can't find a solution to my problem. I'm stuck with the original clock !

HTC Home Clock mis-match

Sorry I don't mean to double post. It's just an forum server(s) problem. Mod, pls delete it, tks.

hey, austinsnyc, pls be not mad at me b/c I don't install your cooked ROM Back to the clock issue, sometimes it annoys when you see these 2 two clocks display 2 times like I have 2 different clocks, e.g. 21:58 and 22:59. hahaha

HTCHomeplugin not displayed correctly

Hello,
i have a MDA Vario 3 and i would like to use the HTCHomeplugin "the 4 icons" on the today-Screen. I installed the cab-file and it works fine. I only have a problem with displaying the 2nd icon (to turn the display). On my HTC Kaiser (2nd Fon) i can see there an icon looks like a "Display". But on my MDA3 i only see a "Battery-Symbol with an question mark". Why that? What did i made wrong?
Thank's for help
Tobias
I would try chaning the theme or "icons" in HTC Home Customizer, could just be the one you have installed or a mix up in the installation of HTC Home. Home and customizer apps can be found in my signature.
Hi,
i installed the customizer app. but i cant find the tab where i can choose witch icon of the htchomeplug is displayed. I don't want to change the Theme. I don't want to display the clock with the favorites. I only want to display the 4 icons Battery, rotation display, com-center, Sound.
Thanks for help

The problem is the current theme you are using must have an issue with it. Sometimes it happens, usually if you go to Customizer and change it to another one then change is back and it will probably work.
it will not work. Any further idea?
Thanks

i soved the Problem. I had to replace 1 File (HTCICON.dll) from an original HTC fon to the fon where i installed the Plugin.

New clock in Manila 2D

HI. I install new clock as cab(diamond look) and manila couldent start - it's showing Tap here to start, I'm taping and nothing happend. After deleting clock Manila 2D start fine.
Any solution?
If you used the manilla customiser to set the new clock then try going back to the original theme. I have seen this problem. The customiser is still in beta so issues like this (if it is the customiser) are to be expected.
Tony
I don't using manilla customiser. Clock wouldent start. Even after puting new rom - weird
You might be better off posting this in the Manilla 2D Skins thread, and not in a Kaiser specific section.
Did you disable touchflo before installing the clock?

There is a fix for this in the development category, from the main page. It's in the Manilla 2d clock/theme thread. It took me a day or so to sort through the whole thread, but there's a cab in there you can use. You stop 2d, run the cab, install the new clock, and reenable 2d. worked like a charm for me running HyperDragon III.
searching searching and no find
Ok. I'v got it. If someone have problem with adding clock here is fix

Manila 2D clock messed up

I have Manila 2D working quite well on my kaiser... The only problem is the clock. Whenever I try to put a new clock/theme on the home tab and I take off the analog clock with M2DC, my digital clock stacks the numbers ontop of one another on the right-hand side of my phone. Anyone know why this keeps happening to me?
Same Issue
My clock is doing the same thing. When i remove the analog clock from the Home XML tab in M2D Customizer, my clock goes off to the far right hand side of the s creen? Is this an issue with manila 2d or is the customizer not working properly?
*Attempting to hard reset device right now...*
Updated Screenshot
Heres a picture of my problem
I have encountered the same problem before. Make sure that you have the most current version of M2DC (easily done using AppToDate). This solved my clock problem. Another problem is witht he two page weather... The layout gets jacked up if you change themes, requiring either editing of the xml or hard resetting to correct the problem. In either event, editing the xml was the choice I went with.
I had the same problem last week after using one of the manila customiser..
in the end had to do hard reset.
maybe I should have reinstall Manila?
but I can't see Manila when I tried to remove programs.
updating the version of M2DC helped my problem as well. I did not reinstall M2D to a different version, just a hard reset, and it was fixed.
Same Issue
It's kind of redundant when you have to hard reset to fix something so simple. It's like the M2D customizer does this on purpose. I have this awsome clock that I found as a cab file that replaced the origional clock in Manilla 2D. I have the mose update Manilla 2d customizer per this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427392
and the latest version of Manila 2D from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425851.
Heres how it goes.... I can hard reset my device, and install the manila cab. I can then install the Manilla 2D customizer and loadthe theme that I made.. I will then install the cab file for the Clock that I like. It works great... As soon as I change to another theme, It goes all hay wire. I dont that much care for the analog clock and wish there was a way to disable it completely.
I guess it's the small thing that drive me crazy
I got the same problem in my Jade.
Without solution yet?

You need to change the registry settings back to the theme file settings after you disable the analog clock.

I dont think its due to m2dc, i have been flashing alot of ROMs and have found the newer builds seem to be the problem, not sure why? You can untick the analog and copy over the theme .xml with total commander and soft-reset but then you still have the alarm etc, you can edit out the unwanted in the .xml and there is a thread about this.
M2DC clock messed up
Folks,
same problem for me and Ihave found a workaround:
even with manilla 2d cooked in I install the following cab after having
installed m2dc and a corr. theme:
SJ 2DManila 1_00_18203328_00.cab
The installation will be unsuccesful but anyway, after a softreset the clock
is displayed in correct manner. Hope that helps.
Happened to me the other day, I figured I just did something wrong. I did a hard reset and changed to a different theme, and didn't have that problem, weird. Curious what would cause this.
According to M2DC's site, this problem was resolved and was a known issue. As of the Jan 30 release it was resolved according to the developer. Are you SURE you have the newest version ?
Its Right Here....Check against your Version
Hope this helps
ALSO,
What I did was backup the OEM Manilla theme using M2DC with the older version so I was able to restore it later....worked well as I was experimenting skins No need to hard reset
This registry setting did the trick for me:

Skins

Hi,
I've recently had my Tytn11 repaired by htc & they have re-installed windows. My problem is: prior to that my clock digits looked like a type face where the numbers folded down to change (the best description I can give at the mo), but now I have the digital clock type face (default) which I really don't like. Does anyone know where I can get the skin I had before from?
If you had Manilla 2D with the flipping clock, you were likely running a custom ROM. Check out the ROM development section for tutorials & info on that. It's possible to add Manilla 2D by itself, but that in general doesn't work as well.
Many thanks chambo622, I will indeed.
