No need to bust on the guy! Have YOU personally tried this software? I think what he is looking for is feedback from someone who has installed and tried out software.. not assistance in a google search. Give hime a break and read the entire post next time.

While the spirit of your message may have some validity from some points of view, as a general rule of thumb, whenever opening a new thread in any forum, it is common knowledge that you abide by the rules, which can be found by clicking on the following links:
Rules specific to Kaiser Forums posted by JimmyMcGee
General XDA Forum Rules posted by Peter Poelman
With that being said, why attack another member for reminding anyone who was reading the thread to abide by the rules? It would seem that even though your Join Date shows 2 months, you clearly have not done any sort of research or assistance in the community, otherwise you would have known that Raiisak is a respected and renowned member of these forums and should be respected as such. On top of that, he even assisted the OP by doing the search that should have been done for him and provided the links to answer the question.
What assistance did your post provide, other than a useless flame?
No personal disrespect is intended, just merely stating the facts.

Dock: Here's a nice collection. If not, Google helps.

This is the best answer I have ever seen.....
Yeah. It was a **** answer too.
The whole reason people post in this forum is to seek help and help others.
If you take the time to be a douche and post one of those "Let Me Google That For You" links, then you might as well just help them.
Being from a senior member too, that knows exactly where those icon sets are, and could easily have pointed them in the RIGHT direction. Or even provided them with the icons.
If they wanted to Google it, they would have. Not asked the question in the forum where it should be. Just sayin'. ;D

A **** answer?
There are literally a thousand - No, a million iPhone icon sets on the web.
Google iPhone icons and you get 10 relevant pages on the first search.
The fifth link was actually iPhone icons over at DeviantART where there would be a thousand more related icon packs.

Most people come here and ask questions without searching. This is a very, very basic question that would have been 'resolved' with a quick search either here on XDA or Google. If you feel "Let me Google that for you" is a '****' link then I assure you I was not trying to be a ****. I was given that link at some point and realized Google'ing might be a good idea before raising a question or creating a thread.
You're very helpful yourself, Mr.God. Your answer to this thread really helped the OP more out than I did.

Couldn't agree more, this is why XDA is going down the pan, because of idiots diluting the forums all the time. Then you get children like "God!" who think its fine to post silly questions but not ok to give silly answers, Although the answer given was not actually silly as it 100% answered the OP's question and took him directly to what he needed aswell as also a lesson to use XDA search or Google FIRST.

I'm serious, I gave you the options that were possible, Yes you're on XDA, but you're also in off topic, where there is little phone talk.. at all.
But now that you gave the correct info
Basically:
CSC is country specific code. It's some app as well as settings for 3G network providers and things like that. However, as of now only russian and region independent CSCs are available with the newer ROMs. In order to get internet on your phone in china you'll have to enter the APN manually. Info like that varies per provider and its easily found using google.
The phone file is what you would call the radio rom.
The PDA is the ROM. The software/firmware. It include android and all the apps that get installed along with it like samsungs touchwiz and swype.
It is preferable to update all three at the same time, however, not always necessary. An outdated modem (phone) firmware might result in compatibility issues (although very unlikely) and old CSCs can cause problems if the apps are outdated or apn settings are wrong.
However, CSCs, phone and pda files ate always distributed in complete packages so there really isn't abig deal.
There is no such thing as HSPL. Firmwares on samsung phones are installed using Odin (samsung-firmwares.com).
If you factory reset (just like on the wimo phones) you'll revert to the original settings of the rom/firmware you currently have installed. To get your phone completely back to factory settings you'll have to flash the factory rom that came with your device.

CSC files are availible for download and a quick search on XDA brings hundreds of results, I'd figure people would know what it is without me having to specify "In the context of Android cellphones" (considering the site we are on).
I wanted to know what it meant and every search on google returned non-android answers or posts that talked about CSC files and their functionality, but none that specified what the acronym meant!

Contrary to popular belief, off-topic is not a place where you can open a thread for anything you like and it just flies. It follows the same rules that apply everywhere else in the forum. In this particular case, the rule is about not opening threads that already exist. I did link you to two threads that were relevant to your post.
As for this thread, if you have a problem with a mod decision then by all means question it, but don't open a thread to do it. Send a PM to the mod in question (namely me, in this case) and politely discuss it with them.
Thread closed.
