Photo Dialer - Today Plug-in

Here's the PhotoDialer today plug-in that you may have seen on the Treo700w, works great on 8125/8100, enjoy.

This is awesome! I have been waiting for someone to get this out to us.
I noticed a few things that users should probably note:
1. When setting up any of the speed dial numbers, the Advanced tab options for [ ]Dial extra digits and [ ]Show Recorder Buttons DO NOT WORK. It is a shame that the voivemail recorder buttons won't appear on the today screen. That would be great for one handed phone. But I guess this plug-in works with the hard wires today screen dialing system of the 700w.
2. The quick connect numbers assigned do not work - even if using in landscape and pressing the keyboard buttons.
3. Any number dialed will go through but it will not pop you to th dialing application. So if you are planning to dial you voice mail or other system that needs digit input, you are best to use the dialer that is native to the wizard.
It is a shame that we can't figure otu a way to take the speed dialing app that HTC built into the dialing screen and get it into the today screen. I love the way it finds contacts quickly when I dial. But I suspect it would not be all that helpful with our devices because of the lack of keyboard.

where do i get the dialer cab from? its not there..

shouldnt it be possible to make a registry entry that would enablke the dialer app to appear after pressing one of the picture/shortcuts?

Sweet is all I can say! This along with the SearchToday (also from the TREO 700) is mighty fine. No it's not perfect but it is sweet!

Yes I agree with you
Some things to know :
- you have the choice between Text Speed Dial and Photo Speed Dial
- You can post only one line of photo in the Picture Speed Dial
- After 5 photos a button appears for scrolling (fast scrolling with the D-Pad)

I like this plugin.... Runs great on 8125.. Now, what is that profile changing program shown in the screenshot????/????

Bluetooth status indicators and WIFI Toggle

Hi all,
I often have seen in this forum screenshots of two things I cannot find for the life of me:
1.- A little headset icon by the Start button (I assume that one comes on when your BT headset is paired and active),
2.- And a Wi-Fi toggle app (I have tried VJVolubilis, but it doesn't work on a Wizard yet)
Any help and pointers would be greatly appreciated!

VJVolubilis works on my wizard but you have to turn it on once first through the comm manager. Then it turns it on and off fine after that.

Unfortunately, until I get a Wizard to play with, any non HTC Universal support is purely hypothetical (ie crap).

The only issue i've had with VJVolubilis is the toggle wifi, you can get round this by putting two icons on the task bar for on and off, and assigning both function to the voice recording button (it has press and hold functions).
As for the bt icon I've not seen it on my wizard I used to see it on my magician, but it only appears in the phone app on the wizard, if you find out how to make it appear let us know!

Still no workie for me :-( It doesn't give an error if I turn WIFI on first, but it doesn't do anything either.

Is this icon part of phoneAlarm, or Vijay's skin?

That icon comes up for me when my A2DP headset is paired... in other words I don't think what you've seen is any sort of addon, just the default behavior in AKU2 when an A2DP device is connected.

I only use a mono BT headset... does this mean I am SOL?

Yom: the bluetooth headset icon - I can't remember where I got it from, I think I made that one myself... The rest are basically stock icons screengrabbed or ripped from the OS dlls, although I used artistic license to "improve" them slightly.
All the icons are available but jumbled higgledy piggledy in my PhoneAlarm skin here (near the end of the first, loooong post):

I tried to search the forum with "SRS WOW HD", "SRS WOW" & "SRS" but no result, so I'm posting this as a new thread.

Funny, I installed that app a couple of days ago, but noted no difference at all when activating the control... Uhm, maybe a othorhinolaryngologist visit is urgent right now...

It does'nt work over BT only through the wired headphones and speaker. Also it works only with WM player and HTC's audio player

but with this, it works really great.
the differ between now and befor srs wow is awsome.
i have srs also on my mp3-hdd-player but this software gives more option to find the best sound.
i think a must have for everyone

it works on my HTC Touch Pro, the sound is great and it plays really loud and i love it, but there's a problem. There doesn't seem to be a way to lower the volume or mute it. My phone is already on mute but the music still plays really loud. I tried to disable it by going to settings --> srs wow hd and disabling it but it still plays really loud, even though it's disabled and my phone is on mute!!
How do i fix this?

I had preciesly the same problem also on my xperia x1. Although the sound is great, but now i can't do anything with the volume

1. go to your "windows", search the file with "wavedev" as part of name.
2. copy the whole name.
3. go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev] and set the "OldDriver" to STEP 2.
4. reboot.
DONE in my HD2_TMOUS

Is it possible to customize the buttons on the today screen, say replace the music tab/button with something else.

mine installed very nicely but the top and bottom bar are still green, how do I change them to black, so it will match the rest? I have a 750 with 6.1

Very different...
Not only is the interface different, but so is the way you can move through tabs (Try searching youtub for TouchFlo 3D for an idea). Here are some shots of the interface. Everything is now integrated so that the cube is no longer needed.

How can I get the Blutooth symbol to show up in a different place? Right now I have to scroll down to see it

HTC Home Plugin on Treo750
To WAPVIRUS,
Installed both cabs and worked smooth, according to size of the screen have to disbale lookup field and speeddial plug-in which are very useful. Do U have this problem ? How to solve this and least remain lookup field ?

This is a great interface. Thanks for posting! I have attached the files for those that still haven't found them. The All-in-one.zip file contains the following:

INSTALL:
1. Copy BD-background.jpg to My Pictures.
2. Copy cyclic_blackbars.tsk to Windows Directory.
3. Install Cabs.
4. Goto Today settings and set theme to "Cyclic_blackbars"
5. Goto Today Settings and select BD-background.jpg as background image.
6. Goto Today Settings and Uncheck everything EXCEPT HTC Home.

Launch Music Player
All seems well except for 2 issues.
1. When I attempt to launch the music player, I receive the following error:
"AudioManager.exe
The file 'AudioManager' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of it's components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
I use Windows Media Player...can I map the launch button to it?
2. When assigning Programs to the launcher, I cannot see a way to browse to the progs that I have on my storage card. Is there a way around this?

Funny, I would have thought that there would be more interest in this ROM. I flashed it last night and it's running great on my Shadow.

I think there is interest, they just don't bother posting here since its just a thread with a link to another thread. All the support for this is at AllShadow.

BAD as in good? Or BAD as in totally sucks? I think it's pretty good, although other than the menus being larger I can't see any huge difference from WM 6.1. Oh, and the IE6 on 6 or whatever the new browser really is bad as in not good.

this is such a beautiful upgrade, i wanted to say that first, but for some reason my ActiveSync doesnt work anymore! i used it for the upgrade, and then i tried to hook it up again to put my files back on, and it just shoes the charging indicator. HELP!

I successfully updgraded my JUNO to WM6.5 but I have some problem on my keys.
Here's some of the issues:
On the SMS if I enter the 9 it will go to SYSTEM with volume gauge
SMS window upon typing my message and disable the T9 then "num" it will open address book automatically
SMS window space key automatically enter "[email protected]" character.

But i wonder to know if you got T9 in turkish ?? it is a big lost for me?

This rom is pretty sick but my earpiece no longer works. My speaker is fine and it's actually the only way I can hear others. I don't know if maybe a driver got damaged or if my speaker crapped out coincidentally at the same time I flashed the rom. Good thing this is not my primary phone. Anyone else have this issue?
