Are you serious ? Do you really want to do p2p on your phone ? Cause first, it will cost a lot on your phone bill and other point, UMTS connection will drain a lot your phone's battery.
i dont see a problem. i would do it over wifi eliminating these charges. then all i have to do it charge my battery then bam both ur problems solved.
I've tried this one: http://www.adisasta.com/wmTorrent.html, and it works fine. It will drain your battery in no time though, so it's usefullness is a bit limited because of that.

I agree, but the battery dies fast anyway. lol

I could never get pocket G2 to connect. Both with wifi or data connection.
I also tried wmtorrent on my mogul and it ran really rough. I did manage to download a 700 mb file but the phone felt like it was on fire while plugged in so I just stuck to logmein.com to my desktop and using winamp remote or ORB.
I prefer a slightly different solution.
I configure my torrent client to allow web management.
I can then add to the client from my phone, and my PC will download.
Connection there is also much much faster than over GPRS, and most wifi connections I will be on.
I also setup a secure FTP at home, and have all completed torrents moved into the FTP folder.
I can then access the completed torrents via FTP on my phone, and download them quickly.
hi friends,
i have recently enabled, my gprs connetions.
now my phone connects automatically to intrnet while it is on standby, appearently without any reason.
quikgps and weateher auto-update are disabled, opera is not running... anyone can help me please?

My S710 had the same behaviour which became annoying since I've got no data flatrate. I used MoDoCo NoData to disable the internet connection. It works on TD, too. Hope this helps.

Well, you have installed or setup atleast one application to auto update. You say you disabled Quick GPS and weather updates. How about e-mail? Check all the application you have installed that access the internet. Obviously one of them is set up to connect to the internet.
finally i found it! it was google maps!
solved disabling his recod in notfications.
thanks to all!
Hi.
Im having problems with Internet Sharing on my X1. The strange thing is that the problems are identical when using USB/Internet sharing and when using WifiRouter!
It works great for a minute or so, then my pings to inet stops responding (and to my gw when using wifirouter) for 20-30 seconds. During these seconds the phone itself also freezes and doesnt respond to any buttons.
Then everything is alright for another minute or so.
This happens with original R2 rom, Valkyrie and TouchX. Hard reset doesnt change the behaviour.
I really need this functionality.
Help, anyone?
Some clarifications:
The default gw (the X1) also stops responding to ping with internet sharing, ofc.
It seems to be the routing/nat function in the X1 that somehow gets overloaded. If I ONLY ping from the PC it can work for quite some time... then I load a couple if webpages or set up a VPN and it starts freezing.
Software on the X1 doesnt seem to matter. I dropped the phone really bad the other day so the metal sourrond now have a crack. (Not at the same place where other people get their cracks.) However, that this would affect only routing/nat seems very, very far fetched.
Internet on the X1 itself works great.
My wi-fi is connected as always and my internet works fine (web browsing). However, ever since I woke up today, I haven't been able to connect to other media sources that require an internet connection.
For example, shadowgun multiplayer, zynga poker, play store and youtube (app) all say that no connection is found.
Would really appreciate help, thanks.

I think that you have to set your clock again with the same time what is in your country.

Wow thanks for that. Even though it wasn't specifically the time that was the problem, it was the date. For some reason, the year was set at 1970 Changed that back to normal and everything's fine again.
Even though tonyp and harsh's official ICS ROM is still better as a daily ROM than CM10, I guess they're not exactly as "stable" as they say they are.
Hi to All, I know this has nothing to do with phones, but there might just be someone here who can solve this anyway
My problem is that I live in an area in th Philippines, where Globe telecom is the only solution for internet, and a very unstable one. Sometimes the speed is all the way down to 80Kbps and sometimes it goes to 0.
This makes using a Chromecast very dificult, it's possible to use when the speed is fine, but a sudden drop in speed sends chromecast in buffering mode. I tried to get Google to help, to no avail - they don't care.
I would like to have it not searching for internet, as 99.9% of the time i use it for internal casting(Offline)!
Anyone have a solution for this?
My Chromecast is 3rd gen. According to this page https://www.techthatworks.net/electronic/what-generation-chromecast-do-i-have and use Firmware(checked that in Home App) 1.49.230269
Hope to hear from you smart people soon as this is driving me nuts, I'm back to use USB stick and not all format are supported, so I have to convert and convert and so on, in order to watch the clips.
Thank you in advance
Jan
Moderator: could you move the thread to the chromecast forum? Thank you

Hi Peppe, why would it be illegal, I paid for the device - its mine I just want it to stop looking for the internet all the time, and do what it was bought for -casting.
Not possible, it's a real design flaw of the chromecast. I have slow internet and use it for internal casting too, very frustrating. Maybe get a bluray player or a roku they are better.
Thank you

The 3rd gen Chromecast will not boot or function if it can't hit Google's servers at boot. If it looses general internet connection, it will go to a "I've lost my brains" type of screen and not let you do anything. For a Chromecast, the internet connection is sadly required even if you're just mirroring locally.
