Mini usb audio out - Touch HD Windows Mobile ROM Development

Hello,
I'm not sure I'm in the most appropriate section but this point is rather "transversal".
It was reported in this thread "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=451634" that prpmlp managed to get audio out from usb connector to work on thouch hd using the diamond drivers and headphones.
This point was not developed further and I think it shall be discussed.
Mini jack is for sure a good thing but audio out on connector is also of interest when hd is docked for charge or in car for exemple. This could avoid to have 2 cables to put in.
The diamond drivers was not provided. Did anyone tried this already with success ?

I think extracting the drivers from a Diamond Rom is not a problem at all, I will give it a try later on.

Using TYTN stereo adapter on the Kaiser

Hi everyone,
I am having a strange problem. I am trying to use the headset and stereo adapter I got for use with my TyTn (8525). These do not work on my Kaiser/Tilt. I looked at the plug, and it doesn't appear to be double sided. The Kaiser wiki says that there is an enhanced usb plug on the Kaiser, one side for usb and another for audio. Could it be that the TyTn output the audio over usb and the Kaiser doesn't? I am having trouble getting these accessories to work. I am hoping there is a registry setting I can change to allow for this, so I do not have to buy new accessories.
I appreciate any help that anyone can offer on this matter.

Not at all. the wired headsets used on the TyTN and TyTN II do not incorporate any sort of decoding hardware that would be required in a standard USB headphone arrangement. HTC's extUSB socket certainly shares USB functionality and audio but audio doesn't go through the USB bus, there are seperate pins for that. I have a 3 in one USB adapter sold for use with the original TyTN but it works fine in between my TyTN II and its supplied wired headphones.
That's very strange then. None of my accessories seem to work. Any idea why this might be?

USB/ handsfree problem?

Hi all,
Got a bit of a random problem here. In the last couple of days my Tytn II stopped recognising the USB (wired) handsfree kit. It would simply continue to play sound to the normal speaker, rather than through the headphones.
Fairly simple issue, you might think - either the handsfree or the USB port. Except that the phone will connect to my PC via USB, and recognise that it's connected. And when I connect a friend's working USB handsfree kit (from an Orange SPV phone), I have the same problem on my phone.
Anyone got any ideas as to what the frig is going on and how I might fix it?
Thanks!
your device's usb port has crapped out...
from what i've read on countless other threads in this section of the kaiser forums, the usb port on your device has TWO sets of connections...
...the pins along the top and the pins along the bottom...one is for usb syncing and the other is for audio input/output...
...put your device under a strong light and (use a magnifying glass?) to check for bent pins or other wear and tear
...search for the threads i've mentioned for more insight and how to find a replacement part if it is needed in the worst case
good luck!
Ah, gotcha. That sounds more plausible than a driver issue, and would explain the disparity in hardware issues. I'll take a look!

[Q]Howto connect the i9000 to the pc screen?

Hi guys,
been a passive viewer in the xda forums for a long time but never posted anything, so be easy on me - It's my first.
I would like to connect my galaxy s i9000 to the pc screen.
I know there's the TV out option, but it involves a 3.5" to RCA cable, and pc screens don't have RCA jacks.
Does anyone know of a way to do this? and if you know what kind of cable is required that will be great.
I'm using the CM9 rom, build 17 from theam hacksung.
Just to clarify, I want to connect to phone to the PC so I can view the phone on the PC screen.
Thanks in advance
Short answer is you can't.
Longer answer is you might.
Your monitor doesn't have RCA connectors but if you have a tuner installed inside your PC, you might be able to connect it to that and then use the software that came with the tuner to display it onto your monitor.
Another method would be to use a RCA to whatever input your display has converter but they are are usually pricey and after a search for RCA to HDMI/VGA/DVI I don't think they really exist.
Even if there was a 3.5mm to HDMI/VGA/DVI cable, it wouldn't work unless the display was designed to take a PAL or NTSC signal through those types of connections.
With cm9, you need to have 3.5mm to RCA cable plugged in then go into System Settings>Advanced>TV Out. The option is greyed out when no 3.5mm to RCA cable is plugged in and the option has to be checked every time you plug the cable in.
Thanks for the reply,
I knew about the tv-out option, but didn't think about using a tuner - that might work!
Another question, do you think that a micro usb - hdmi cable might work?
I saw a while back that samsung offered such a cable that was designed for that purpose exactly.
I've searched a lot of forums but havn't got a clear answer if this actually works, not have I seen a youtube video demonstrating this.
Does anyone know if using a micro usb - hdmi cable wokrs?

Do you know what tuner you have? I'm not sure if yours will have it but there will be a yellow plug like the ones you find on a TV.
I'm %99.9 sure that the I9000 doesn't have HDMI out through USB. It would seem a bit excessive to have two video out ports. Although you did spark an interesting subject, if someone could whip together drivers to work with something like this we could potentially have HDMI through USB but I don't see it happening any time soon.

[Q] Docking HTC one as "PC"

So, the phone is faster than towers have had in the past. I know that with the right cable I can get HDMI out to a monitor, but I also want to use a USB card reader and speakers at the some time. Has anyone made a dock that would work for this or have an idea about how to hack one together. I want to make sure the adaptors will pass the signal. Micro USB port replicators? Searching google didn't give me any results.
Also, can you use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse with the HTC one?
Anyone's 2 cents on this project?
If no one knows I'll start trying to figure it out and update the thread with what works and what doesn't

Huawei P20 pro USB-C Headset not working on computers with USB-C Type connector.

Hello everyone that is reading my thread,
Perhaps you have or had the same problem and noticed that the Huawei P20 pro headset USB-C Type does not working on laptops. if i look online i see that they tell me to upgrade the BIOS. The laptop i use is the MSI GE63 Raider RGB 8RF.
I had my headset returned the first time (the one that came in the box) And they worked perfectly on every laptop/PC is used them with that had a USB-C Port. Unfortunately the left earbud stopped working after a while and got a static noise in the background . After they got them they swapped them out for a new pair (This pair does not work on laptops or PC's.) After sending them back to with the statement "" they do not work on Laptops or PC's" They said they work perfectly and that they had the Firmware upgraded to the newest update with the newest feature's. How ever I had the earbuds tested on multiple Laptops with a USB-C Connector.
So now my question is, Does anyone know how to fix this?
Kind regards,
Kalash_dz
Hey.
I can try and help as I'm a computer engineer. No promises tho lol.
When you plug your headphones into your computer or laptop, do you hear the inserted hardware sound?

No i don't when i try on other laptops it seems HP laptops recognizes them, My old one's did get recognized. i it seems the Firmware in the headset does not work with certain USB controller's which one's i don't know. what i know is that the problem does not only occur on my laptop. and it seems random on what laptop it does work.
