I'm currently using Xilisoft Video converter, but when i convert my .mp4 video that I've recorded on my kaiser, the sound is off sync the further into the video.
I tried the other Xilisoft converters, but they didnt work. I really dont know what to use, what do you guys use to convert video?
Actually i just found out about the site TopTenReviews, its really cool, here are the results for video converters:

this may help me..
I use Winavi mp4 Converter. Pretty fast (converts a 1,5hour movie in just over 10 minutes on my machine) and simple to use. Good price.

try xvid4psp. it's free and it has support for many different formats
This is the best one

Hi, could someone tell me what the best software is for ripping video files for playback on the Diamond? I'm currently using Xilisoft video converter but not sure on best format to convert to?
Also, what is the best software for playback? Using Core Player at the mo but i cant get it to play in fullscreen landscape at the minute?
I tried to play a movie (.avi file) with windows media player on the diamond but it doesnt work. Which format must the movie have to play with windows media player? Is there other good programs beside coreplayer mobile? I dont want to buy coreplayer, do i have to install a codec on the diamond?
Do i have to convert to a special format, i transfered a movie sample file (.avi) from my computer to the diamonds internal memory but when i try to open the movie with windows media player, it doesnt work, what should i do?

Try the previous version of Coreplayer, TCPMP. It's freeware.
use TCPMP, theres a speical version of it for WM6.1 devices, plays any file format you throw at it and super smooth with more options than you can shake a stick at!
oh, and its FREE!

Agree. Hands down best media player. Smooth as it gets!
Thanks for your help i will try TCPMP, but should i just transfer the movie to diamond and then open it with TCPMP?
Yes it works now, how do i zoom in with TCPMP to remove the two black lines that are often in movies or do i have to somehow change the resoultion of the movie so it fits the screen?
when you install TCPMP you can set file assosiations so you can just click on the file itself to play, but of corse you can also go the long way around and open TCPMP first

yes, i use ImTOO Mpeg encoder to change resoloutions, i personally find that encoding files to .mpeg at 500 bit rate and 320x240 does a perfect job for me, doesnt take up much space on the internal storage and you dont notice any loss of quality playing it at full screen
i tried the TCPMP player.. although its good and convinent but it still can't play some .flv files downloaded from the internet, and the interface wasn't as perfect/ pretty.
I took on a more hassle approach. Downloaded PSPVC (a freeware that is able to convert most types of movie files into mp4 format) converted my movie files into mp4 format and then play them using the default windows media player 10. Works perfectly!
PlugIn FLV pour TCPMP

Hi guys,
I have just downloaded an MP4 file and tried to play it using the default Windows Media Player. Well I can hear the sound but the screen is blank. Any idea as to how to fix this?
Thanks.
You need to convert the MP4 profile. As the touch pro / diamond only supports low profile mp4. Use a converter like the ones from xilisoft you can convert them to watch on touch pro / diamond. when converting avoid high bit rate. ie >3000

hi all
is it possible to make use of the built-in camera mp4 (h264) encoder in a third-party app? the problem is: when i record clips using standard htc software (6.00 build 31516) it creates nice and small mp4 files but in case i want to record them with some other software utilizing the camera all i get is big asf file created with "WMVideo9 Encoder". no chance to select "mp4 encoder" .
any ideas?
regards
cosmos
Even I had the same problem I tried to see the video on real player and had no sound. Then i played the same video on VLC media player and I can hear the sound. Try the same video in different players. This is on my computer not on phone.
This is a decent site to take the mp4 and convert it to a different format. You could then move it to another program and play with it (i.e. once it's an avi).
