UI Schell Language switch

I have Dutch MDA Vario, so to my mind it would be nice to switch the OS language to WWE. One of the possibe ways to do so is to update firmware with WWE Rom.
But I think there is another one:

there you can download "Add-On language packs for WM2005" (*dll.0409.mui files).
Simply copy these files to \Windows directory and change the language related setting in registry and soft-restart the device.
At least it works on my phone.
P.S.: But I think some files are missing cause several subjects in menus are still in Dutch

French OS to English OS
Hi Alex,
I have an Orange French OS and would love to change it to English. Unfortunately on that link they dont seem to have the French files yet.
Regarding Flashing, could you point me to a thread which explains how to do it? I've looked at a few and someone mentioned that the default English OS is actually in my ROM already?

Guys you can install a QTek or IMate rom.
Those are WWE (world wide English)
So did I!

This method does not require flashing!!!

How can I install it without flashing? Also, as I use Orange and their GPRS network for net access, do you think I will still be able to connect with a differen version of WME?

need some help in updating ROM

I have touch HD of HTC and its ROM version is 1.18 and country region is Dutch
and the language which i c on its interface is English.
I have downloaded its
update from HTC official website. If i install it, will if change the language
to Dutch or still i can able to see English language?

Start by reading the WiKi first. It has all the info you need on flashing etc.

As the man said, read the wiki.
Anyway: if the file you downloaded has someting like "...RUU_Blackstone_HTC_WWE..." or "...RUU_Blackstone_HTC_Europe..." in the filename, it will be in english.
If the file is called "...RUU_Blackstone_HTC_NLD..." it will be in dutch.
This page has a list of most official ROMs. Take a look at it, and you'll understand how HTC names their ROM files.

Your best option is probably to flash the Kaiser to a WWE (worldwide english) ROM & if you need support for Japanese font & input this can be added to the WWE ROM quite easily.
Have a look in the Wiki section on ROM flashing, HardSPL ect. You can download the latest HTC generic WWE ROM direct from HTC website & Japanese language for WWE software can be found free on this site.

Need help from Polish people...rom issue

Hey guys,
bought my topaz on ebay and went to htc site to upgrade to WM6.5 and for some reason it was not compatible with my serial number.
Anyway made some research on here and find out that my phone came from eastern europe. I have punched in the serial numberon the HTC polish site and it worked...but my question is the rom on the htc polish website is it WWE or polish one?
can anyone clarify whether it is in english or polish?
alternatively where could i d/l wwe version with aserial number HT95ELxxxxxx?
also I wanted to HARDSPL my device and would not let me so i thought i would stick to the original

Official 6.5 ist WWE East Europe version. It minds you can leave English language with this ROM, but you can put your native eastern Europe language,Polish i guess by you (by me Croatian)...In same, this ROM, after hard reset.

hi i am confused : i did a search but didn't understand ! i have a new HTC HD7 with German winmo7 and i want to flash it with an English ROM. do i need to sid unlock the phone or no ? I know that for cooked rom we need hard or soft hspl ! but i don't know if the roms posted here are cooked or not ( i suppose that signed = officiel ) but i'm not sure !

Just go to the menu and change it... You don't have to flash anything.

Just change the language settings to English. No need to flash the ROM. Everything will work fine except the tele navigator application which will still be in German language.

In case you don't speak German, it's
Einstellungen (Settings) -> Region & Sprache (Region & Language), then change the Anzeigesprache (Display Language) from Deutsch to English and tap on the link that appears - 'Tippen Sie hier...' (Tap here...). The phone will reboot into English.

There is no Telmap Navigator yet. In the phone is just Tile with an ad and screenshots, saying, that it will be available soon. As it is written in other thread, it should be available in two weeks.

hd7 change language
i have an htc hd 7 but it have only English, the language icon is hidden i cant select any other language ?????????????????
