[QUE] Integrate the freeze hotfix to own cooked rom? - Touch HD Windows Mobile ROM Development

Can someone explain how to integrate the hotfix in my own cooked rom.
Or did someone know what changes the fix will make.

step1 put cab file into your Kitchen\oem\OperatorPkg
step2 edit Kitchen\oem\OperatorPkg\config_operator.txt
add CAB: \WINDOWS\XXXX.cab in config_operator.txt
step3 use DSMBuilder.exe lodadsm-files n modules-rebuild files n modules
-save DSM
step4 build rom

extract the 2 exe on your PC with 7-zip and open the _setup.xml fin on each folder extracted.. You will understand what you have to do to cook those 2 fix

Your joking right? If you ready The Kaiser FAQ Wiki, you will find the answer.

Yes - I know this trick --- BUT --- the final files are in strange fromats, in separate directories - I have no clue how to import them into HTC or win.
This is the tricky part I do not know how to crack?

same problem for me...i tried to extract a .dll, but the result is a directory with one .bin file and some S000* files.
i dont know how to convert these files into a .dll
I think its wiki time for the ROM editor whos up for the challenge?
drag and drop the directory onto RecMod.exe and it will recreate the file for you. i've attached RecMod

I have dumped a rom and I have many directories and files...silly question probably but I am a (slow) beginner: how can I know which files to reconstruct to build a cab for an application?

Diamond graphics

Could some of you, Diamond owners please post the graphics of your device? I mean the png files that can be found in the device's windows directory (theme files, icons, other elements). It would be very helpful to make themes for qvga devices.
Thanks in advance

Thanks. Yes I know that it's not on the market yet, but some people have it and maybe they should do this favor to me.
Why dont you just extract the content from the leaked rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=394985
Should do the trick.

thanks for the link!
i don't really know how to extract these files from the rom.
are these things in the nbh file?
yeah, its an exe, right click, then click extract here.
make sure you have duttys gooov nbhtool and tzadios imgfs tools extracted in the same folder as the nbh file
then extract the nb fom the nbh using duttys nbh tool
then open cmd in the folder and type nbsplit -kaiser os.nb [splits os into payload and extra]
then imgfsfromnb os.nb.payload imgfs.bin [extracts imgfs from nb.payload]
then imgfstodump imgfs.bin [dumps imgfs]
any more questions on rom dumping, search...

dump rom problem

hi all
it's already few days (and nights) that I'm looking for how to dump my french rom and I managed to dump the raw parts O 1 2 3 following all the tutorials with the tricky memory adresses but I cannot manage to rebuild it then
I extract it throught the kitchen after havin put the parts and the ruu signed in the baseRom folder but when i try to cook it with the builOS program
I indicate the ROM folder but there is always the file OS.nb missing
I have only a folder XIP with a file called boot.rgu inside the ROM folder
I had a look in the whole kovskykitchen folder, there is no OS.nb, just one called OO_SPL.nb created after extraction in the base ROM folder.
did I miss a trick ? sorry if so but I didn't find any help in the threads...
thanks guys

Have you tried copying 00_spl.nb to OS_SPL.nb and then re-building ?
sorry the file needed is called OS.nb and not OS_SPL.nb
yes I did it, rename the file 00_SPL.nb by OS.nb and put it the ROM folder,
then I indicated it into the buildOS soft package tool, it looks like it is workin fine and finish sayin work successful then I close it,
the dos window takes the relay but displays an error 'input file OS.nb.payload has no valid boot sector aborting...'
that's rude right ;°) ?
