When I first bought my ATT Fuze its menus were large so as I could touch them easier with my finger. I do not mean the text size or the Start Menu. When you would click any menu item it would come up with a nice Large menu. When I flashed my rom I have normal WM6.1 menu.
Any help with this would be appreciated
Click any menu item? Don't understand..upload a pic.
you should be able to reenable it by going to the touchflo settings menu.. if not you may have to search down a enlarged start menu cab file..
Not the Start MENU
I specifically said this was not the start menu I was talking about. I am talking about menus brought up from pressing the menu soft keys at bottom of screen on the task bar. On the Fuze Default rom there is bigger touch friendly style menus that come up in most all applications. Is there a cab for this somewhere because windows menus suck.
Here it is:
Go into the Registry:
go to:
HKLM\System\GWE\Menu\PopFnt
Change "Ht" value to "1200"
That is the font of the menu in pixels I think. Alternatively you can use the Diamond Config Tool or Advanced Config Tool, which is a GUI interface for a collection of registry edits.

Is there a way to hide the scroll bar? I think with touchflo working better now their is no need for it. Plus it will make pie and other apps look better!
Any help or suggestions???

1. Backup Registry, then using a good registry editor go to
HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Today > Items
2. Find the Plugin you want to be scrollbar-less, in my case UltimateLaunch.
3. Glance through the entries and find the one that says "Type". Double click type and change the value to 5
4. Go into Settings > Today and make some minor change to your today screen to force it to refresh (or just soft reset). Hopefully the changes will now be reflected.
Worked magic on my Kaiser, hope it would for you, too.
Cheers.
I think you were referring to the scroll bar in general, not just on the today screen. If so, I don't know about completely getting rid of it but you can adjust the size of it. Maybe make it reeeeaaallly small?
Here's a quote from http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-323389.html
To change the thickness of the scrollbars at the right/bottom of documents larger than the screen, adjust...
For the horizontal (bottom) scrollbar:
HKLM\System\GWE\cyHScr = 9 (DWORD decimal)
For the vertical (right) scrollbar:
HKLM\System\GWE\cxVScr = 9 (DWORD decimal)
The default thickness is 13. You can set the value to pretty much anything you like

Schaps Advanced Config.
Use Schaps Advanced config, to change the size of the scroll bar. I don't think you can make it disapper but, i you can make it extreeeeemly thin.
here's the link to the software.

My main issue was for Ultimate Launch so may give the other method a try.

Thx man! You solved my problem with this information. Thx for sharing it.
I changed all my taskbar sizes to 0 and installed FTouchFlo. Now I have no scrollbars anywhere, but I still have TouchFlo
You can do it with Wisbar advanced, too.

Many, many thanks for this info kappa001.
Just what I need!
in wm 6.5.x, you can simply use livven's simple gloss themes (search for it!). the themes look great and use very snazzy looking "thin" scroll bars with no up/down or left/right arrow buttons. needless to say, the themes have a system-wide effect.

I wanted to get rid of the scrollbar on the calendar on the today page but when I changed Type for the calendar plugin to 5 the calendar disappeared completely. This is in 6.5.1 on my TP2.
What is Type "5" anyway and is there a 2, 3 or 4 also?
I tried 2, 3 and 4 just for fun and they don't help the scrollbar.

This is what i've been looking for about 1-2 hours. Thanx a lot!
On the Diamond the screen options under settings do not include the Landscape / Portrait wwitch. Is there any way to force the device to Landscape?
you can force Landscape / Portrait with "WisBar Advance"
Or with QuickMenu...
yeah, personally I have this switch mapped to win-logo long press in QuickMenu
Found this, posted somewhere odd

The Touch Diamond does not show the WM screen rotation under settings so we can't manually set rotation for apps like Word, SMS. Here is how to enable it. After you've done the hack, run the app you want to rotate (eg. Word Mobile), then do Start, Settings, System, Screen to set rotation to landscape. The onscreen keyboard is much larger in landscape! When you click the HOME key it will go back to portrait.
Enable Manual Screen Rotation (Portrait/Landscape):
HKLM - System - GDI - Rotation - HideOrientationUI (change from 1 to 0)
Change is immediate effectively. No reboot is required.

confirmed, this works.
HKLM - System - GDI - Rotation :
LandscapeFixed: set to "0" ( default is "1" )
extends options to:
Portrait
Landscape (right-handed)
Landscape (left-handed)
cool, thanks - this is handy for me being lefty; any chance of disabling the right-handed option forever?
You can do just what you want using Mortscript...
And the script should run automatically everytime you reboot your device....

i also set this up. works only on home page. f in an app, i get this new never efore seen menu that says \
Copy
Cut
Paste
Select All
Select all + copy
select all + cut
Undo
If we now can activate it from the system eventually we'll get to know how to use the acceleremoter in whole system or atleast in whole TF3D.
woho, nice to hear that the edit menu works on diamond too, cause it's dunno why not working for me. this is great feature of quickmenu allowing you to manipulate with the clipboard whenever you're in an editbox.
It would be nice to have G-sensor to automatically rotates screen in all apps. I'm sure that there is a way, registry entry perhaps.
You can, using this app:

IS there a small piece of software to remap the softkeys on the home screen in TF3D? There are several useful functions that could be placed on the home screen other than the default Phone/Programs. I've tried using the Remap Softkeys for WM5 but obviously that doesn't work with TF3D, and I don't want to disable Touchflow just to get altered keys.

try this
In a registry editor, go to:
HKLM/Software/HTC/manila/
HomeLSKPath, which is the left softkey (Standard = Phonepad)
And
HomeRSKPath, which is the right softkey.
If you change these with the location of the programs you want to link to, and simultaneous change the names:
HomeLSKText = Left softkey text
And
HomeRSKText = Right softkey text.
Thanks very much - worked a treat!
I'm trying to remap my softkeys on the People page. I want FunContact as my primary contact manager launchable from that page... cant seem to get it done with the technique used here... I had to create a new key for it but still nothing after soft reset

HomeRSKText = Text on softkey
HomeRSKPath = Path to program to run (or blank for default)

I can't get it to work
Okay ... I've read all the post that I could find about changing the softkeys and nothing seems to work. I've changed the registry settings as indicated but still no go. I have the TMO TP2. I only want to change the home page so don't need anything fancy. Been updating the registry settings (HomeLSKText, HomeLSKpath, HomeLSKArguments) and can't get it to actually do anything (the text changes). What I want todo is to jump to the Contacts HTC page (really anything other than the Camera - why TMO did you make it Camera?). Any help would be great. Thanks.
Hi all
I've had a look around the forums, and i cant seem to find a definitive answer to what im looking for, and im certain ive seen it in a rom somewhere
what im looking for is the following:
A program which allows me to change the orientation of the screen by means of a start menu shortcut (not the one which normally be in the settings -> screen -> orientation, that menu seems to be missing on my rom)
does anyone know of a program (preferably free), that is small, and lightweight that can do this?
many thanks
Search for Gsen or Gyrator in forum.
ive done the searches, ive used gsen/gyrator, those are automatic screen rotators which change the orientation of the screen using the inbuilt accelorometer
i am looking for someting which i can use to manually change the orientation of the screen, a bit like the orientation switcher which was built into the screen settings menu
nobody?
surely someone must know of a program that can do this
ScreenRotator
http://www.pocketkai.net/asp/en/index-en.html
Saerch for the freeware ScreenRotator.net at this site.
QuickMenu has that feature which will replace your Start Menu. you can do that by tapping an menu item then.
Unless I misunderstand, install AEbutton and map one of your buttons to screen orientation.
Hey Stix,
To enable the screen rotation icon from the Settings>Screen menu, edit the registry: "HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\HideOrientationUI" and change the value to 0. Go to the Screen page and you'll see the Portrait/Landscape option.
After enabling the screen rotation option, you can map the talk button to rotate the screen with a long press. Start>Settings>Buttons; just look for the <Rotate Screen> option from the pull down menu.
You don't have to go to the Start menu, doesn't use resources (I'm guessing) and it's free!
Hope this helps.
TF3D doesn't rotate even when you select the <Rotate Screen> option (unless the keyboard is popped out, obviously). Only applications and the Windows menus will rotate if you manually rotate the screen.
thank you very much my good man!
this is perfect, i use my raphael to read a lot of pdf's and docs, and i recently discovered documents to go which does everything i want except change the orientation!
many thanks asdfjklqwerty!
I use this, AAHRotate0-90.CAB or AAHRotate0-270.CAB on my Touch Pro.

Hi,
you can try this attached cab. Hope it's what you're looking for.
P.S. Cab file extracted from ROMeOS v1.95.4.
Excellent! Works like a charm on my HTC Vox. I know this forum is for Touch Pro, but since I found the software here...

AAHRotate 1.0
I do it with AE Button, but if you have SK Tools, these shortcuts will also do it (use the shortcut manager if you want; these probably work with the free version, too):
Code:
Portrait:
1#\Windows\skstart.exe #DMO_P
Landscape:
1#\Windows\skstart.exe #DMO_L
My Problem is rather simple: I want this:
http://i.iimmgg.com/images/th/c86c0db38227e4b40b82058488e371fd.jpg
and i got this:
http://kimag.es/share/38726898.jpg
Funny enough: tael has a cab to undo what i want:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=249156&d=1258840564
I use WM6.5 21891 "Phoenix 2" by NRG, i just snatched these example pics from tael (thanks btw). Both menu styles are with menu enhancements disabled (obviously).
This is NOT fixed with changing "Popup menu font size" from advanced config. Even with a ridiculously low value (like 500) the seperate "buttons" of the menu are still way too big while the font in it is ridiculously small.
I hope this can be changed and is not "cooked in", because it was the way i liked it in former Energy Rom Builds, it only changed after 21864 (i think).
Hopefully im posting in the right section (technically this is not rom related, so a seperate post should be fine).
Thanks in advance
Use a reg edit and in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\gwe\menu\popfnt
change MANUALLY the value for the "Ht" entry to "800" decimal (from 1200)
Thanks for the fast reply, but i already tried that:
