Hey, I've got a 'ghetto' little in car computer system set up and it's a pain having to tap-tap on a 7 inch onscreen keyboard obviously not made for fingers. A full size keyboard just isn't practical in a car environment, however the Kaiser already has a very nice petite one built in.
If anyone can make me a program to send keystrokes FROM the phone TO the computer via USB or bluetooth (usb preferred) I'll paypal them $5, or whatever they see it worth. Thanks a lot!
Good Luck finding someone to do THAT much in depth programing for $5.
But Hey You could get a Sub Sammich!

It's not that much work... (although I'm not taking on any more projects at the moment).
You just need a RAPI Client/Server App coding that can pass the key strokes back and forth.

I'm confused if by car computer system you mean a legitimate computer in your car. If so, GRemote should do the trick http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427097
you could also use mymobile. It mirrors the keystrokes to the computer or vice versa. not sure if this is what you need but thought I would throw it out there.
ill do it
and retire to oz on the payout..... all £3.28 @ todays exchange rate
It could be helpful. I plan to install a computer in my Nissan Xterra, ITX board and 7" touchscreen LCD. I have the ITX board and everything is ready to install but it's too much money to buy the touchscreen LCD. So instead I deside to break a laptop a part (Dell LH400 NON touchscreen 12") I plan to have the screen in the front somewhere and the board will be in the back and control the laptop with my tilt (w/USB cable or BT). It will be nice to have this kind of software on my tilt.
mayby it should have shortcut to to find application on the computer, like video, pix, gps software, players and more
Gremote
as haywiremonkey said Gremote works very well for that i use it all most every day, i use it over wifi but it says it works over bt also just never tried it. i found gremote in the touch pro software section of the forum.

Hello people,
i would like to connect an external mic. to my Blue Angel,
and i allready know about the pin assignment of both connectors (22pin or 2,5mm plug).
My question is:
is the analog to digital converter in the blue angel able to do stereo?
if yes, (where) can i solder a stereo line-in to the curcuit?
btw., i'm very happy i found this (wonderful) forum...
merry X-Mas to all of you!
s.
'Philips UDA1380' chip -> stereo sampling!
on that page:
http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/BlueAngel
they say that BA uses a 'Philips UDA1380' chip
and they have a link for a datasheet (68 pages, pdf) for that chip:
http://www.nxp.com/acrobat_download/datasheets/UDA1380_4.pdf
'Philips UDA1380' chip is capable of doing stereo sampling,
so a BA could be a stereo recorder!
if anybody knows how this could be done,
please give me a hint ...
some things i found:

... if anybody knows if it would work to solder an line-in to the chip
and use that line in for 44khz/16bit stereo recordings,
please let me know...
Well, I took a look at the hi-res photos of the boards on the wiki here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/files/naked-blue-insane.jpg
and if you rotate the image around 180 degrees, I think the chip in question will be in the top centre of the image on the right.
From looking at the photo, these pins are already hooked up to something. They might even be connected to the same thing, it's hard to tell from the photo. I've not opened my BA myself as it's under guarantee.
hi fraser,
yes, that one is the chip, and yes, it looks like all pins are soldered to the board, but i'm quite sure that they are not connected to anything,
because there is no 'line-in" anywhere on the board (not even a stereo line signal), and thats the purpose of pin 27&29...
the blue angel mic(s) (internal and external) are quite sure connected to pin 31.
i have 2 problems:
1.
i don't know if it's ok to connect an external line to the chip directly,
or if there have to be some 'signal tweak' before sending it into the chip
2.
i don't know if the 'default' driver is able to 'receive' or use stereo signals
- is there some sort of 'software mixer', like in a regular windows pc?
i really need help from an electronics guru...
This is my first post, so sorry if I haven't put this in the right place!
I've been trying to get hold of the Tracker program from Sony Ericsson for my X1. I've found it on their website at www.sonyericsson.com/fun under the software link, but not for the X1. I've emailed Sony Ericsson asking whether it will ever be released and have been told in the usual manner that basically "No."!
So on to my point. Do any mightily clever people feel like giving this one a go? I really wanted to use it to take a look at my running route and analyse my progress, but it doesn't work!
Thanks in advance.
use GWatch, it's free and it's a stopwatch as well. you can also upload the gps coordinates from it onto google maps to show your route

SportyPal seem to be WM's way of Symbian's Tracker
Thanks guys I'll give them a go. Sony Ericsson's Tracker has a really nice interface, but I guess as long as the other two do the same thing I'll be happy!
I use trackypro ...

I'm useing Sprtypal, mostly for cycling, some running and rollerbladeing. It is easy of use and nice clean design. Except tracking there is analyzeing. I did this workout minutes ago:

I have been using sportypal for some time now, it is really excellent stuff, that can help you with your running or cycling, especially when you are withoit a gps device.
I use the 'on the road' panel & GPS Cycle Computer >> http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-gps-cycle-computer-v3.html GCC is a little awkward as you have to create the maps via Google Earth, but the author has good instructions on how to do it.
I have G-Watch too, but haven't used it for anythign other than a countdown timer and a stop watch.
is the g watch free of charge??? or just trial version???

G-Alarm isn't
I have tried the cycle computer, but I couldn't get him running on my xperia, sometimes it turn on only with showing half of the screen, sometimes doesn't even run properly .
For now the sportypal is fine for me. ,

i use sportypal, too. i have a lot of trouble recording tracks properly on my X1 (r3a-spb mobile shell3). a lot of GPS errors, half recorded tracks. the support is eager to help..but until now the results are far from satisfying..maybe it is a individual problem of my setup. i don't have any hassle running other GPS apps like tomtom, etc.
clueless..
i installed the new version of sportypal..now it works as expected. great app.
a better battery life would be great...gps consumes a lot of power.
On the newest version 1.0.6 it has its own screen management program, that is saving on the power on the screen->and this gives some better batery life.
Hi all,
I am looking for a piece of software that will let me use my Kaiser as a remote for my Canon EOS 450d / Digital Rebel XSi.
This should be possible, both wired and/or through IR, but I can't seem to find this software anywhere!
I have found a program remote controls pentax cameras over IR:

}
The program can be found on http://gastaldelli.googlepages.com/
or on http://downloads.ziddu.com/downloadfile/1777010/RCFP.rar.html
(more info here: http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/33345-windows-mobile-pentax-remote.html)
Also, I have found a program that remote controls Nikon Coolpix cameras from Windows Mobile (wired).
found here: http://www.ruwebit.net/article/81
These programs show exactly what I need! I just cant seem to find it for Canon cameras!
(Other relevant software: http://www.idruna.com/remoteediting.html -> a bit too complicated for my intention though!)
Can anyone help me out with this? Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Would you mind typing the right way up?
In reaction to your post; using a remote would allow for time-lapse shooting, reduces vibration when shooting, etc.
I take it youre not a photographer?
jor3l, hw do u type upside down?
You do know the remotes only cost like $25, right? Probably why no one's bothered to write any software to replace it. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/116234-REG/Canon_2467A001_RC_5_Remote_Controller.html

Folks,
Sitting in a rental car wanting to connect your phone with the bluetooth handsfree?
Got a new stereo headset and want to pair it with your device?
Want to send a file via bluetooth to a friend and need pairing first?
Whenever you want to pair to a device or unpair from a device you have to go deeply into the settings of Android. If you finaly got there, the bluetooth pairing partner is out of pairing mode again...
That's the reason I wrote btPair. On opening the App you can scan for visible devices surrounding you and a red or green image shows you the current pairing status. With just one click you can pair or unpair to any device around you.
It's that simple...
Available on the Market now.

So, how do you like it? Everthings working as expected?
Cheers
Didn't quite like it. It's full of bugs and have sent you an email of the problem. Hope to see it resolved. Thanks.
Just to clarify: It is not FULL of bugs. There was one bug on one specific device. It was a duplicate device entry (the discovered device was listed after each discovery additionally) on a Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus with HC 3.2.
I was not able to reproduce this behaviour my Xoom with HC 3.2 and all my other devices (including emulator). However, I made some changes and added a function to display already paired devices uppon startup of btPair, and added a button for that.
So version 1.1 is published now.
Cheers
Many thanks to the developer. Now it doesn't show duplicates anymore. Hopefully the developer will add more feature in the future.

In order to run demos and project (for large audiences) what appears on the screen of my Nexus S, I'm looking for the best app (not necessarily free) able to do that via USB or WiFi.
Have you addressed the same need in the past?
Any suggestion?
Thanks
P.S. Being able to do that without installing any special software on the pc would be a plus
As far as I know, our phones don't have mhl support, so I don't think that you can do this. However there is an app Team viewer, where you can get your pc desktop on your phone. If that doesn't work maybe you can do a gallery of screenshots from the phone to the pc to show what you want? I don't know, hopefully that helps.
its low res but check out webkey in the market. it has a web based screen viewing function as part of its security features, pretty handy.
Hey,
There is an app called "MirrorOP" in the Googleplay market. Install it and then install "MirrorOP Reciever" for PC. Then you will be able to get your phone screen to PC. In the settings you can change the resolution and quality, so you can incerase fps to 25 fps (on the lowest settings).
PS: your nexus must be rooted

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitmaptest&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5iaXRtYXB0ZXN0Il0.hey, try this. Crystal screen in play store.
If you just want static real-time screenshots, e.g., no animation, try AirDroid (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sand.airdroid). Your phone must have root and grant AirDroid root access to capture screenshots.
This is overkill but if you have the options, it works great.
If you have a Samsung SmartTV connecting to the same network your phone is on, download the app called SwipeIt on both the TV and the phone. You can then use SwipeIt to project your phone screen to the TV.
Thank you all for the kind help.
I really thought this was easier to do.
I tried most of the apps you recommended and they generally require an internet connection rather than a simpler one-to-one connection to the PC (in my case this could be an issue).
I'm now oriented to just record a session, download the video to the PC and play it to demo what I had to demo.
