Did a search, nothing in any of the guides works.
Adding a Locale string did nothing, there's nothing indicating anything to do with locales in that string you pointed out, nothing I could find that seems to work.
Seeing as how it's been covered so many times, it should be easy for you to pull up a link for my ignorant self that I can't seem to find on how to change the US layout to the Wing layout.
I have posted it a bunch of times I know what your saying. We are all waiting for a solution to this problem on the wing.

It's odd. The version xxx.09 of PDAVIET's rom worked peachy with the Wing layout for me. This xxx.10 version is being goofy, though.
Really? your the 1st one to mention it. I will check it out later on.
Whoops, I meant the xxx.08 version worked perfectly. I skipped the xxx.09 version.
yeah it started messing up wen i started using pdaviet 0.9 and 10 0,8 was fine for me
Hey guys, just found this post now and it works, my keyboard is back to normal again, all characters working as they should !! …but now I have to relearn the damn keyboard layout…
Thanks to Corkey

I first done all these 3 steps below for uk layout, but then lost the autocomplete function, so i put steps 2 and 3 back to 0409, and just set step 1 to 0809 and it works fine now
1. HKCU >> ControlPanel >> Keybd
create string named Locale and enter this code 0809
2. HKCU >> keyboard layout >> Preload >> 1 >> Default
change value of last 4 digits to 0809
3. HKCU >> keyboard layout >> Preload >> Default
change value of last 4 digits to 0809
Hope this helps others out.....
this doesn't work for me any other suggestions?
hello
I am very happy with my new ROM!
But is it possible to disable the smschat?
I can't find a solution for it, also used that kaiser tweak tool. (very handy to disable te gprs connection)
Anyone knows to disable?
tnx
Do you have the latest Updates for Kaiser Tweak? It will allow you to disable SMS threading.
Or maybe just search, this has been answer a hundred times before
Ta,
Dave
If you want to disabled it you can do this:
Edit this key or create a new DWORD key if it doesn't exist in:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM]
Name: SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
With: dword, 1

This question really belongs elsewhere, like in the thread for the WM6.1 Rom you are using.
Hi,
does someone know how/if it is possibile to increase the number of favorite contacts in the contacts-tab ? 15 is not enough for me.
Sorry, if this has allready been asked ... But search doesn't work for me... (Or I don't know how to use it )
Thanks in advance,
Thomas
Better search than sorry
Just out of curiosity why the Search function won't work for you I made a search for "favorite contacts" in xda-developers > Diamond
It gave me 20 results. Out of these, 2 were relevant:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405987&highlight=favorite+contacts
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411722&highlight=favorite+contacts
There... It's that simple, and your answer is in there.
I have seen it everywhere but it is not there. Should not be impossibe ............ I guess some changes in the registry (I mean changing the Value) should work.

I am sorry if this has been answered before, but I can't find the answer anywhere. How can I change the auto suggestions from the one that's in the screenshot to the older pop-up version?
Have you looked under start-->settings-->personal-->input? Once here select the input method you wish to use and customize it all the way. This should inlcude adding your own words to the dictionary/pop up suggestions etc.
I don't know the popup you mean but it sounds to me like it belongs to an older keyboard. You need to install that keyboard, if you can find a VGA version.
Failing that you could try another keyboard like Resco or TouchPal to see how you get on. I think the T9 system in TouchPal is great, a whole other level better than the HTC keyboards.
I was wondering how to get the word suggestions to the one in this screenshot.
Ths thread explains it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445959
short version: disable T9 and use a different keyboard...
Word suggestions...

You can't use that one with HTC's keyboards. That belongs to Microsofts' built-in SIP's. I find HTC's much better and quicker to use. If you've only just changed from the 'old' word suggestions from Microsoft, maybe you need a bit more time to get used to them. Other than that, you'll have to use Microsoft SIP's instead of HTC's.
I'm sure if there was a way to resolve your issue, some wiz-kid here would have already done it
I forgot to mention this, but I am not use HTC keyboards. I am using PocketCM Keyboard v0.20.
I figured it out thanks to Steve in this form post #21: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425405
Here is the suggestion which works!
found this in another thread
changes for auto complete
IMPORTANT: previously be sure that HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\XT9SupportMSSip has a value of 0.
Simply change these two registry keys under:
HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\layouts\e 0010409
Ime File : \windows\xt9ime.dll change to Ime File :\windows\compime.dll
and
Layout Text : XT9 IME change to Layout Text : COMP IME
And soft reset.
suggest words in a drop down list as in WM6

any help ???
you'll probably have to remap a key for this!
Check AEButtons+... No CTRL Key can be made available, though.
i'm using X1 Button Mapper and Mortscript. it's a small app and it works great.
