3g Dialing And Data Problem !!!

Hi Guys,
Got my TILT not too long ago - ulocked. Using it with Fido (Rogers) in Toronto However, I can't get 3G either to dial or even use it for data (drops to EDGE or so). I tried all possible RADIOS and ROMs (currently 1.27.14.09 with AKU 0.4.4 build 18128).GSM voice works, but data is slow .
Any hints or ideas ?? You guys know everything ...
thanx PK

Well, at this point there is no real solution, other than sending the phone in.
The problem you have is the exact problem described in the thread I gave you the link for. Did you even bother to read it?
3G problem
OK Brevi,
I am glad you're such a concerned citizen. I looked there before yes (many times....) and many others threads as well.
I've been flashing my Tilt more than my toilet... Tried everthing you guys did (except sending for repairs).
I started new thread hoping to get more people involved.
I will go to old thread to talk to you from now on.
So for ALL YOU GUYS WITH 3G DIALING/DATA ISSUE go here:

[Solved]no network connection - CM 3.9

So I flashed cyanogen's 3.9 experimental ROM when it first dropped and all was well for awhile but I lost my ability to connect to 2G/3G about 24 hours ago. I've reflashed my radio image and that didn't fix things. I wiped and flashed 3.9 again and got stuck at the setup screen. reverted back to my nandroid backup (so I could use the phone at least) and started poking around in the settings revealed by the "secret code" posted by haykuro yesterday.
I've attached screenshots of the phone information settings page (reached by dialing *#*#4636#*#*), can anyone explain the errors I receive for ping test? And is my phone set up correctly for TMobile service? I am in a 3G coverage area.
I've set my radio band to Automatic, hit "Enable data connection via the "More" dialogue etc.
I've even added two new TMobile apns as suggested by overpower and still no data connection.
Any help in getting this sorted would be greatly appreciated, I'm kind of crippled right now.
Thanks in advance - innerspace
attention modulators...
mods, I guess you can kill this thread. G1 mysteriously rebooted itself and voila, 3g connectivity again.
Gotta love reboots as they can help solve a few things, much like a wipe.
Could you edit the title to include "[Solved]" please to alert mods and everyone else? Thanks.

[Semi-Fixed]2G network problems please help!!

Hey guys!! I'm new to the android scene, I managed to get this phone up and runing thanks to you guys!! Thank you so much!!
I now have a problem that I can't seem to find the solution...
My phone gets really bad 2G reception, 3g is normal but 2G is really bad, I tried another SIM card but with the same result...
Can it be a Radio flash imcompatibility? can it be it? If not what can be causing this? Can it be hardware related??
Please help me get around this one...I love my G1
PS: I tried tons of ROMS already and tge end resolt was the same...
And please excuse my bad english
Thanks in advance!!
Sent from my T-Mobile G1 using XDA App
EDIT:
just wanted to say that i founf the solution, the problem is that the GSM radio, disconnects and we have to restart it manually...
i dont know the cause of this problem but if it happens to you, this i what i did to fix it.
1) to to market
2)download a download creator software like "any cut"
3)open any cut
4)do the fallowing sequence: New shortcut---activity---phone info (a shortcut should be on you screen now)
5)close any cut
6)open phone info
7)scrool down to "Turn off\on Radio" press the botton once.
8)now press it again until it reads "Turn off radio"
if not working go to:
1)any cut again---activity----data synchronization
2)open data synch
3)resynch everything
if not working
1)Replace SIM card
if not working
1) open your phone
2)check if any coaxial cable has come loose....
if not working (not sure about this one)
1)check your flashed radio version
2)ask for advice here...
hope it helps...
EDIt:
Hey guys have some updates on this...
I did all the steps above including updating the radio...it looked like it had fixed it but it got worse...
so i reverted to an older radio one that ends on 26I...
Reverting to an older ratio version did make it better but it still disconnects once a day...is this the stock radio is is there an older one?
in going tobring everything to stock and see if it works, i cant have this happening on me....
ill keep you posted...

Having problems with signal!

Hello guys.
Currently:
N1 [obviously]
Cyanogen 7.0.3
Kernael 2.6.37.4-cyangoenmod-01332-g7f230e8 [email protected] #1
radio 5.08.00.04
UK Orange
Basically my student halls have terrible system due to it being a massive faraday cage. I know a lot of people with similar phones [desires] who get very good signal or at least some, while Im sitting in my room on either nothing or emergency only.
Is there anything anyone can think of why my phone wouldnt be getting as good a signal as it could?
Not sure if this kernal is undervolted but if that affects signal im happy to flash over it if you have an alternative.
Ta for the help.
Not sure if this helps or not, but if you enter *#*#4636#*#* in the dialer then select phone info and check the dropdown at the bottom of the list that is called "Set prefered network type"
see the link below for the options (second post), I have no idea if it will help but it's worth a shot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=688492
On WCDMA preferred at the moment, as it should be I think.

gps fix problems ?

Hi guys .
Im new here i came to this forum cause i think that the black is à very good phone .
He need some good custom roms to be great .
I just wanna know if some people had gps fix troubles.
It takes à lot of time to fix the signal (10 minutes).
I know some french users who had troubles with that.
Sorry if my english not so good is , i'le Try to do my best cause i love this forum and the new black thread !
Mine works pretty ok, you just have to be outside. Using it with google maps and igo.
Make sure you have "Use Wireless networks" checked in the settings
I don't know why is that happening. I can get gps to fix in about 1 minute or less with P970 and wireless networks off. But try to clear all you data, do a factory reset via the hidden service menu and enable "use wireless networks" as rashad1 said.
p.s: type 3845#*970# on dial-pad to access service menu.
Thank-you for all your responses .
Fix is hard only the first time
My firmware is the last : Bouygues 11b
If i activate It later , my gps fix very quick.
Im gonna wait à future update and see ..
I dont wanna make à wipe cause i m pretty sure that custom roms will come .
I hope you understand me well ..
