How to get HTC Home Screen for AT&T Tilt?

I want the HTC Home Screen (with the big clock and shortcuts) on my Tilt. Where can I find it? How do I install it? Will it mess with the AT&T ROM?

here you go sir. im only giving you this one because the 6 button version always seems to put my phone on vibrate when i dont want it. so heres the one that works. it will not mess your phone up. install to the phone. enjoy.

I've never done this, how do I install?

Move the .cab to your phone - use File Manager on your phone to browse to where you put the file - run the file by clicking on it

I installed the cab, but I dont see anything different...do I need to change any setting after installing? Will this give me the weather on the Today screen?

reset the device
reset then go to settings, today, items, and select the correct plug_in.

I did that, and have the HTC plugin checked...just wondering what im supposed to be seeing...anybody have a screenshot?

Just select a different theme for the today screen.

I want to try this on my new AT&T Tilt. But can it be uninstalled? In case I change my mind? In the past, I downloaded one of the HTC Home Plug-in CABs from this site, and I had to hard-reset to get rid of it...

quick question, what plugin are you using to show the state of the connections (phone, wifi and bluetooth) ,I don't recognise it

to make today screen black,copy and paste the HTC DEFAULT.TSK file in the zip i atttached..put it in documents directory..make sure its on main memory..and go to doday items and select htc default..

HTC Home with Contacts
I downloaded the HTC Home cab listed in this string and it appears to work just fine. I need to tweak it (i.e. - add more cities to the weather file as well as add the programs on the program screen), but what I really miss is the Conatcts screen ... the one where you have 9 pictures that are one touch dialing in that tab. Does a .cab exit for HTC Home with the four tabs instead of the three?
I ran the 6 button on and 8125 and HATED the fact that it arbitrarily changed my phone to vibrate mode. But I'd really enjoy the contacts tab.

Battery Bar ...
I also downloaded the .cab listed in this string for the battery bar in the header (for lack of better term). I placed it on the phone and ran it, then the phone rebooted ... nothing. I executed the .cab a second time, was told the previous version would be uninstalled, it installed and rebooted again ... nothing.
I picked the QVGA version of the bars, not solid. I may try solid next but I can't imagine that would correct any issues. Just wanted to post that it didn't work for me.

Problem is, when its done, the alarm is too quiet. Would you be able to ask on the forum if he could make a configurable alarm sound so i could choose my own sound for example.
Also if you could make the count down time in full screen would be great.

I found if you hold stylus on the white part you get a menu that pops up. It allows you to set the stopwatch color (of the digits) and change the alarm. Those it seems the alarm sound has to be a windows media format. the only other option I had from my device was the dogbark file.
It limited but something.

Any chance on getting a screenshot of this app at all?

Has anyone used this successfully? DOES IT wake up the device when it is off?

Me. I use WM 6.1 with this soft flawlessly. It keeps counting properly after Off-on or Sleep-on.

I'm looking for something where I can configure an alarm every 30 seconds or so. Anyone know of anything, I want functionality similar to the stopwatch Timer '08 for my Mac.

problems with Stopwatch
I downloaded the Stopwatch cab to my Fuze and found several problems.
1. It only goes to the second. Not much use for timing laps on the track, etc.
2. The Start/Stop button was partially covered by the Reset button.

This will reskin the comm and add a 3g toggle.
For the one with tiles install RRE COMM Settingsv6 (Has highlight issue)
For the solid black install ALL BLACK COMM
For Original WHITE install RRE White comm and White Buttons

2 observations. I installed it on my Touch Pro (1.90.401.1).
1) When i turn on the Airplaine mode the text "Turn off all connections" blurs with the text "Resume wireless connections" instead of disappearing.
2) When i choose to turn on/off one of the modes (and it is highlighted ing green colour) the green colour "floods" the in-betweens of the tiles seen in the background.

I am not seeing issue 1 but I definitely see issue 2 lol
Ill try to see why its doing that. If all the lines turned green it would be a cool effect.

I think I found the issue. I had an issue in the binary color value for the font. Ill repair and upload later today if it tests out ok.

Internet sharing icons..
Does anybody have the .png files for the internet sharing button?
I can't find them anywhere...

They should be installed in the cab. Just change it in the registry to show that button. If it is not there I should have them and ill post them when I get home. Ill make sure they are included in the fixed version.

I redid the cab with the internet sharing icons and changed the reg settings but it still has the odd highlight issue. Still working on it.

turning it "OFF" will activate GPRS only.. whereas turning it "ON" will make it to Auto.. can anyone help to make it 3G only instead of Auto when turning it "ON"?
coz i want to 'force' my device to use 3G only in my area.thx

To my knowledge this is not possible. Da_G or one of the other chefs may know of a workaround but I do not.

I dont understand the question. This is for the HTC fuze which is a vga device.
I WILL UPLOAD A NEW CAB LATER TODAY WITH BETTER GRAPHICS. THE NEW CAB STILL DOSENT FIX THE HIGHLIGHT ISSUE.

Extract and copy this file into your Windows folder, then restart\reset manila.
But why would you want to do that?

And hm, this is the rhodium one, there might be a conflict there.
There is no background code in the manila I added.

You have the background code removed. If he doesn't have bg 4 all tabs which has the background code moved into manila.mode9 then that is probably why he's getting the missing home background.

can this be used on other M2D beside Rhodium rom?
e.g M2D running on Samsung Omnia?

That might be true. Background works great with "bgalltabs" installed. without, then I also get no background on the main tab.

there should be a dark grey bar on the bottom with three dots if you click on it you will see a plus and minus symbol if you click on the plus you should be able to click what cantacts to have as favorite

Hi, I like use this mod but I can´t because throttle never lunch.
Works fine with weather hub, taskmanager hub, etc, but when I try with your people hub the throttle don´t works.

Looks great, works great, but the "what's new" problem still occurs, i.e. in the settings hub you also get the text what's new and the sideways scrolling doesn't work ok.

Downloaded the new version (v2), and although the what's new problem is solved in my settings hub the general/theme/etc. doesn't scroll anymore.
But...please keep up the good work, because it makes the theme more complete!

yea i know nobody i have sked knows how or why because i didnt even touch the xml for the settings page
and i didn't mess with the icons for the settings page either..
i am at a loss to try to explain why this is happening but will try to figure it out...

This happens because of the name of the Row item. When you copy another page you have to change that row name.
But, for the people page to hold more than 2 rows of favorite contacts and show the rest of the pages using the entire screen I had to leave the row name from the settings page on the people page and then change the name of the row on the settings page instead and then all worked as expected.

I absolutely LOVE that theme. Its looking really nice so far. Great job.
I'm good with XML, though my time is currently limited but I will try to take a look tonight and let you know if I figure out anything useful.

try replacing xml with attached one
then give feedback

The settings-hub seems to be working ok right now...however...now the people-hub isn't scrolling sideways anymore... No more 'what's new' anymore...

geez this is driving me nuts... im sorry i been working very hard on my else phone theme this has kinda gotten pushed to second for now.. and wp7 takes so long to reload it is a pain to work on...
