ihad the same issue... i changed tge wpa authentication from no to yes(default) using advanced config... for some reasonit is set to no right outta the flash... after reset, bingo...

You need to create and set your operators APN settings under mobile networks in settings.
BTW ask your questions in general forum not here.

I use setting my APN .. n doesn't not working man... please help
If something isn't working I suggest to flash rom once again.
wipe data/cache factory reset.
Or check once again APN configuration..
CM7 "should" already have all APN Configs.
You can also download config file from here and put it into /system/etc.

Did you put "internet" as the APN type?? If so keep the APN type field blank and try again..

Hi Bro this is very common problem... due to the fact you are flashing your cellphone with rom that maybe is from europe, you will need to get the modem from your country and flash the modem trough "ODIN" ,it works for me so eveytime i Use a rom from any developer from any country i just flash the modem with odin and wuala start working the 3g and hdsp+ connection do a little bit of search i will try to upload the files if you need help with that.... Do a little bit of search and this only flash the modem so it will not change any settings on your phone...

Not all APNs are included there and CM/Android is a worldwide available product, for example my APN is not there and having that bunch of useless APNs wouldn't help in any way, what I do agree is that a simple pop up at the beginning reminding users that they need to set up their APN manually would help avoid these kind of questions to continuously pop up all over the internet.

I am not a developer and my knowledge on android is limited(but i am learning) so please excuse if am not making sense in posts
I have galaxy ace S5830. Rooted recently and now running with CM7 apocalypse. The problem i am having in my ace is i am not able to add proxy settings in my ace. I have wifi connection in my office and i dont have option to add proxy anywhere. My colleague uses HTC OneX and if he long press on the wifi network he will get two option.
1. forget network
2. modify network
In modify network he can enter proxy settings but in my set i get only one option that is forget network.
I have searched some posts but i did not any info out of it. And there were no specific posts for galaxy ace too.. Please help

On the phone screen long press -> shortcuts -> activities -> settings -> proxy settings.
I have entered the proxy and port there but no luck
I have also tried installing 'ProxyDroid' app but no luck there as well...

Its Advanced > Proxy you might be doing it wrong Also,try connecting to the network first and then try it..

Yes i tried that too... All i get when i press advances settings is IP configuration.. But not proxy..

Ah..That might be the problem..I am on stock and it works perfect.Try flashing a stock rom and see if it works
Oh.. i just installed CM7 few days back and exploring things ... and i am loving CM7 too
Haven;t tried stock rom before. Is it good performce wise?
Also is this might be fixed in CM10 may be or any version after CM7?

Your best bet is going to be asking in the CM7 thread,i never really used proxy you know.You have a better chance of getting an answer if you post there

hmm, I didn't have this issue.. and the fact that you used different ROMs says me that it's not a problem with the ROM.. so you might have configured something wrong. You may check the location in the settings and the language etc... maybe you tried this out already.. but I can say that I didn't have this particular issue on my 4.3 Rom

hey guys .. i've just flashed 4.1 sense custom rom and i'm facing two unstandable bugs !!
1- Wifi fail .. can't scan or even connect to any network available
i used wifix manager and it worked fine to me .. but everytime after rebooting the bug show up again untill the app can't fix the problem !!!!
2- while choosing the front camera .. it writes " front camera stopped working " and get me back to home screen !!
please elp me guys . i realy like this rom
it's 4.0.4 and my Hboot 1.28

yes maybe the problem is in the region code...in some roms you have this issue
WiFix Manager will solve your problem, just tic emulate on every boot option if i still remember to solve your reboot problem, and change your region code to scan for new network.

i got an European galaxy note but it didn't support arabic so i have to change rom so i can read and write arabic but when i changed rom
it worked perfectly for about a month but now wifi signal turn gray and can't detect wifi's networks so do you think a flashed a wrong Kernal or somthing and what is fix.

So its switching on but not able to detect WiFis? Which rom are you on and which kernel?
Try wipe your davlik and cache?

hi
go to wifi setting and press menu key and then go to advance then change wifi country to europe and then save and turn off wifi and turn on then connect to wifi
for next time if you want to restart your phone turn off wifi then restart phone
