I'm a US T-mobile user. I will be traveling to Australia on business this week.
If I buy an unlocked Diamond in Australia, will it work in the US?
Also, will the GPS work here without any support from T-mobile?
Thanks,
Craig.
Why not just buy a US diamond from bestbuy or various online retailers? GPS will function independent of carrier support. enjoy your trip!
Well Duhhh! I didn't even know BB was selling unlocked diamonds. I didn't want a Sprint contract and didn't want a chopped down one from Verizon.
Thanks!
Does anyone know of someone who can modify my TYTN II to work on the T-Mobile USA 1700/2100 3g network . I am willing to pay to have this done. My phone is far superior than any 3g phones T-mobile USA has and also I hate to throw it out when there isn't a good replacement available.

Its not possible. Check the Touch Pro boards or the Diamond boards, or the Touch HD boards. Anyone in the US with the original European versions of those phones, can't use 3G here. Adding new bands has been discussed time and time again, with the answer being no.
if you want i can send you my at&t and you send me your TytnII 'cause i'm in italy and need to make videocalls, let me know if you want to, maybe i can give u some money bye

Hey All,
I'm very interested in getting an HTC HD7 but because I live in South Africa it's going to be a bit of a mission.
At the moment, the T-Mobile version from Amazon.com is the cheapest and due to the fact that I have some family in the States, I will be able to get it over here easily.
Now, I would like to know if the T-Mobile HD7's will be locked (I assume they will be) and if so, if it will be possible to unlock them? I would assume it will be possible but wouldn't want to buy the device only to find out that it doesn't work .
Second of all, is the T-Mobile hardware any different to the UK version? Does T-Mobile use some special frequencies for 3G that would make it incompatable with the South Africa Cellular Providers?
Thanks for any and all assistance,
Jonno
at&t does not have an HD7. In The USA, only T-Mobile has the HD7.
For specs on the device, you should take a look at the official page:
http://www.htc.com/www/product/hd7/specification.html
Haha, whoops - thanks for that, updated the post.
It appears that the HD7 is Quad Band and so should work for all countries (unless T-Mobile gets some other hardware version, which seems unlikely).
hey. Jonno. I pm'd u.Give me a call if you get a chance.Thanx
Nizaamh
Does this mean that I can use a UK hd7 on t-mobile 3g network? What about ATT 3g?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Can I unlock the T-Mobile HD7 ?!
I Would to known also it can work in the international 2100MHz network
You can obtain the unlock code online from various sites.

Hi there
I want to buy the HTC ONE "again", but the problem is that I'm not sure which one.
After some research, I've found that there are several different versions of the HTC ONE:
HTC 801n ONE, ONE HTC 801e, 801a ONE HTC, HTC ONE 801W ...
Well why "again"?
Thing is that I had one until recently, the 801n, i got through a contract renewal in Switzerland, and I was very very happy with it!
But the trouble started when I went on a trip again. I travel a lot between Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, and the US, and due prolonged
stays in these countries, I have a simcard in each country, as well as prepaid and contract, each with internet access (3G and 4G).
Now in Mexico I noticed that my brand new HTC ONE 801n, was not compatible with the frequencies used here (3G, 850Mhz with Telcel Mexico), which made it useless as a smartphone. Therefore I sold it. But I loved this phone, so I am going to buy me a new HTC One!
Question is, which HTC ONE is the right for me?? Also I read everywhere on the internet about an "international" HTC one, an "international version"??
Is this one of the above versions I mentioned? "International," does it mean that it will work with all the frequencies in all the countries I travel to? With at least 3G Internet can use, perhaps even with 4G? And where do they sell it? And how can I identify it?
Thanks for your help

International means quad band GSM. It won't work on CDMA and you won't have all the data bands either. HTCs website has a list if the specs, and there is a discussion thread here with something like U/UL in the general section by mike1986

HI everybody,
I am french but I currently live in USA. I would love buy the one plus 3t but I am not sure if it will work and I will go back to France. I am very confuse about the bands....
Thank you for you help !!
It will "work" though you will likely be unable to access LTE from most carriers in Europe. Essentially, you'll have a fully functional phone with crippled mobile data (reduced coverage, slower speeds, no VoLTE, etc.).
it must be unlocked, then yes will work
Unlocked phone will work any where in the world.
Took my oneplus 3t to India from America. Used my American sim card and got an Indian sim card as well. Both worked flawlessly, LTE included for Indian sim card. Phone is unlocked will work all over the world.
thank you for your answer, In the one plus' website is impossible to choose the europe version... Do you know where I can find it ?
because i am still confuse couse in this website willmyphonework.net they told me that in 4G LTE network "it may work" :crying:

The US model only supports LTE bands 1/2/4/5/7/8/12/17/30; Its not a true world phone. You'll get voice, text, and 3G data. Now for LTE, band 7 is the only band that some European carriers use so that may work if you are connected via band 7 and is available in that area.
I don't know why Oneplus didn't just include the European models LTE
Thank you for your answer. I m gonna think about if I buy it or not :/
Yeah it is not very commercial to send just the american version...

You should be fine. All French carriers are using LTE band 7 too. You can check here:

You're lucky beacause I talk with them also and they don't want to send me the EU version one. I will not take the risk to buy the american version, I m gonna see an other phone...
Thank you for your help, I think Im not gonna take the risk to buy the US version and after it doesn't work very well in France... They don't want to send me the UE version so I m gonna see an other brand.
