ok maybe it depands on the version of tomtom. wich one doe you have 7.???? and what kind of rom doe you use
when you say hands free, do you mean speaker phone?
always wanted that feature in tomtom, although more so in my orbit as you could easily use that as a speaker phone in the car, diamond bit too quiet but still could be useful if possible
handfree
yes i do mean speaker phone. i have the skippycentraal nld 3.5 rom with tomtom already installed.

Ok ive got an xda2i and mini s.
I have tomtom on the 2i (not changed it over to the mini s cos i like the larger screen) I want to get a stereo head set for use on the motorbike so i can listen to music, also want to be able to listen to tom tom comands. When a call comes in take the call as i pull over. (saves takin off the helmet).
Does the xda2i support A2DA?? its standard UK spec with only the O2 upgrades from them.
Now using the jabra 205 headset i have at the mo, i know i can play music (poor quality) and have tomtom run at the same time. Thing is when a call comes in the music and tomtom mute and the call comes through (which is good) but when the call ends the music and tomtom revert to the xda2i. i have to press the button on the headset to switch back.
Is there also a good voice dial for the xda2i.
So if the xda2i does support a2da will it do what i want?? I know that if it will ill have to strip the system and fit it to the helmet (doesnt bother me if it will work as im an electronics engineer)
You can download the audio bluetooth from Broadcom via google (Broadcom Corporation BT-PPC AV is the download you may want to check out).

Can A2DP
XDA 21 support A2DP
gone to that link... thanks. ive dloaded the file but have no idea what to do with it. im serious i have no idea at all. i need complete idiot guide for it.. post in the other location or here, i dont mind
many thanks
cool i got the file installed and have nice clear sound, it switches between a call and wmp BUT if i run tomtom5 the music starts to drop out.. big gaps and the same happens with the tomtom comands. this happens to tomtom even if i dont have wmp running.
getting fed up with this stuff now. at least with the wired headphones it all works....
Did you install any battery monitoring software...
the xda is from a hard reset, tomtom 5.2 installed, then the A2DP cab. thats it.. not even put on my contacts or anything. totaly clean. then added the BT-Q800 GPS and its little test program which only when run is used to find which com port the gps is running on. used the setting from that to set tomtom correctly.
TT tested with the gps fine.
then added the headset. tested fine.
BUT when i try to have both the GPS and headset working thats when it gives up. i have a feeling its going to be something to do with the bandwidth on bluetooth.
The audio starts to chop up as the GPS is connected. Ive not tried it with the wired gps though
What your Roms and Ext, version
I have TomTom or CoPilot open and take/make a call via my bluetooth headset. Both programs will then stop talking to me both during and after the call. I have to reset the device to get them to talk again (even restarting the program doesn't work). Sound on the device functions properly. Is there anyone else experiencing this and know of a fix?
Maybe give us your Rom and radio for help.
Sure its garmin's wm6.1 rom (v1.2 I think) with the radio that's 1.58... (I'm at work without my phone (I work in a prison) thus cannot check. But, this was a problem with TomTom on my tilt with the standard att rom before I changed to garmin also.
Thanks,
Alan
I'm using my Diamond on my bike through a blue tooth connection to my intercom. Works like a charm - but when the phone rings, music (and GPS) sound is muted, and don't come back when the phone call is ended. The only way to listen to music again is to disconnect the blue tooth connection and start it up again.
Also when using GPS (Tomtom 7) it disconnect the phone call if there is a direction instruction.
Minor problems, but is there a work around?
[Solved]. I downloaded a program http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-btmusic.html
This does all what I'm asking for.....
My Diamond uses the latest rom version (1.93.7 something)
How do you do ?
Hello,
I'm a new user with a Diamond: How do you do, to put the Tomtom sound on the bluetooth audio ? I'm using an Airoh W-Conn system.
I have a Diamond with a Orange France ROM, and my Tomtom 6.
Thanks in advance,
Alex.
DonĀ“t steal my thread ;-)
Please make your own thread.
If you have a problem with your Diamond, it is better to adress the problem directly. I do not have a clue for you. I just turn the gizmo on - and it works. You could read the manual to TomTom7. There is a section about Blue Tooth a.f.a.i.r.

Use the program http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-btmusic.html
It will do the trick.
I have experienced few irritating problems with my Diamond when used in my Seat Leon 2008's stock head unit via bluetooth:
1. Phonebook is displayed always and I can call phones from there which is OK, however "Incoming Calls", "Outgoing Calls" and "Missed Calls" are not working always: sometimes I have those lists filled with the corresponding entries, sometimes all three lists are empty.
2. When I am running iGO8, the bluetooth connection gets connected and disconnected each 5 minutes or so.
3. The headset volume is really low. I didn't have that problem with my Sony Ericsson phones before.
Does anyone have any of those problems and know a solution for them?
Only thing i can say. Stock seat bluetooth is terrible. My brother has orderd a new seat and the dealer advised to choose for the pioneer mounted radio because of the known problems with the seat unit and the bluetooth functions of it.
try posting in the Accesories section, u might get more help.

Pioneer isn't that good either, I had the Pioneer radio with Bluetooth and I couldn't get it running with my previous phone Trinity P3600 and with my Diamond it didn't work either.

I have used the stock head unit previously with simple mobile phones and it has always worked perfectly and I was very happy with the bluetooth implementation in Seat. So, I think the problem is not in the head unit (i.e. an accessory problem) but lies somewhere in the "phonebook through bluetooth" implementation in the Diamond.
Hello,
I have the same problem. I have a Skoda Octavia II (2007) with built-in bluetooth and a Diamond (ROM 2.03).
I use the iGO8, and it works fine, but the bluetooth connects and disconnects randomly in all ~5 minutes. When I shut down the iGO8 or when it runs on the background, the bluetooth works perfectly, when it runs in the foreground, the bluetooth disconnects again...
Who knows wat is this problem? Should I try a new ROM? A new radio version? A new iGO version?
CyberGene: Have you a solution for this problem? Or you use a different iGO8 or a different navi software?
Thanks,
DuckHead_
Unfortunately I didn't find any solution to the problem. To be honest, I am currently using a SonyEricsson phone and the Diamond is used by my girlfriend. We are still using iGo from within the Diamond but with no Bluetooth activated.
Thank you for the quick answer.
Why don't you just take your car into a car audio place and get them to check it out for you
I thought it so that the problem with Diamond. The BT does not work only if running the iGO...
Since I'm a lot on the road, driving, it's handy, when recieving a call, if the phone automatically is set on handsfree (speaker of the phone).
In the past there was the program from Oldsap to do this but the latest version of this does not work on my Diamond2
Does somebody know other free software for this? or,
Does somebody know a registry tweak or entry so the phone is alway's in handsfree modus, over the speaker of the phone?
Thanks in advance....
