Hi everybody!
Just got my new HTC Kaiser, yeah
But there is no world card mobile software included, even if manual told that and it should be there... I also called HTC support and they advised me like a noob where I can find it (program files ....).
However I cannot also find it from windows directory (if name is bcr.exe or similar or starting with w-letter.)
They advised me to make hard reset BUT I prefer not like to do it because I have already lot of sw and settings installed and I don't want to do it again. Also I that doesn't help... then hard reset for nothing... not nice...
btw. these 2 links at sticky thread didn't work.
Any way to get installation cab somewhere?
Also one question. In the sticky thread there is updated cabs... where I can find these sw:s current versionumbers from my device... so I would know do I have to upgrade or not... And is there a certain way to upgrade those cabs?

can someone pls post a WORKING STK that works under WM6. badly need it, this is the one feature that WM2003 has that WM5 or WM6 seems to lack. so if anyone managed to find an STK program that works. pls upload.

use search>STK and find that there are already several threads discussing it. There is no working WM6 STK (yet?)
yup, did search already, but all are under WM5 thread headings and etc. im just making this an easy to use and search thread under WM6, so if there will be one, it will be easy to find.
We try our best to get the STK working but no luck! Sorry man!

Sorry man, I've been busy with my hobby, riding bmx (flatland). Sometimes I'm playing WarCraft III (DotA). Don't worry man, I visit our site but very often. I am also searching other sites that have a pocket pc forum. Maybe they have solution to our problem, and share to others.

hey der can you try this sim tool kit i copy from another xda device in my country? can you guys give feedback here.. just paste it on windows folder and copy shortcut to programs. ill be waiting for your feedbacks, hope this work for us..

it is not working....
i tested an O2 ZINC
and found that STK was working on that device. it was running WM5 and as per my deduced reasoning, there is no engneering design difference between XDA 2 and ZINC with regards to simcard holder and software for the simcard.
i also found some file differences between my XDA 2 running WM6 and the ZINC running WM5, i tried to download some files like stkui, sim...something, and other dll and such files from the ZINC unit (it was not mine) but activesync could not copy the files.
i know that those files can help me make the STK run in XDA 2 WM 6. if someone can post files from ZINC, thats probably will start with stk or sim please do upload all files, and i will test running them on XDA 2. please, thanks.
for those who have other devices running WM6 or WM5, please post some files from your WINDOWS folder, some of those or a combination of those will make the STK work for WM6 on O2 XDA.
by the way, the posted STK.ZIP will run the STK menu but only on the first menu level, it will not activate the next level menus.

@paulpax..use resco explorer to copy the files somewhere on ur card..thn transfer them to ur pc bya card reader....

yup i agree with you bro! but until nw i dont knw y does simtoolkit doesnt work on xda2 wm6. guys out there pls post your stk running on wm6 here, attach file here.. this wud be a great help.. thanks. happy new year to all!
me and nesty tried alot..but only got the first menu to work...lets try even harder..Happy new year to all
successfully managed to ZIP files from O2 ZINC to try to copy the STK files from the ZINC and copy to the XDA 2.
with VERY FUNNY RESULTS, look at the attached JPEG file of my screen copy of the ZIP file that i got from the ZINC.
look at the encircled RED, the SIMSEC.DLL, SIMTKIT.DLL, SIMTKUI*.MUI, are all ZERO BYTES because ROM based files CANNOT be copied or overwritten in any device.
I think, and this is per deductive reasoning, these exact same files which we should change, however, these files cannot be copied from another device to another device....because it is ROM based. so if someone can copy these files, pls do and upload.
After uninstalling this cab I have problems with the settings on my Today screen. The "Start" have changed (big letters, big icons
), the HTC Task has changed (big icons, no names of the runnig programms) and I can not add contacts to my HTC Home tab. Please, can somebody help me to solve this problems? I habe uninstalled the cab with SKTools.

i think you must not delete the cab with sktools.. After my Uninstall failed
i have made a new install ... and than i uninstall with SKTools .. with the
integratet tool to uninstall complete programms..
after that my big icon and htc task is away like i want .

Another trick i read in an other thread:
install it... and after that.... try once more to install the cab..
than installer says: i must befor uninstall old version..... you say yes...
than if its ready.... he ask you where to install ( on memory or sd card ..)
at this moment you break the installation....
try it...
I have got the anwser that he is unable to uninstall the previous version. :-(

sktool is ok.. for me... everything looks like bevor i install m2d.
Only one Porblem : tomtom 6. if i close tomtom after a navigation
my Kaiser only runs after a reset.
Problem with Tom Tom 6 and Manilla
Just loaded up TomTom 6 and Garmins new Manilla 2d rom. Problem is tom tom causes the screen to go black and wont run. Will not run on this.

i had the same problem so i backed up what i wanted to , then did a hard reset all clean

Somewhere I have a CAB posted by hang.tuah to revert back to the normal menu but cannot find it. It's somewhere in the 101 pages of ROMeOS thread.

Hey guyz, my tytn 2 is practically stock, and i m reali interested in usint the touchflo 3d interphase... but the problem is i duno wher to start... thers many thread that ask for the upgrade of this n that... rom, radio, hard and soft SPL... I have no idea wat is wat n which to upgrade... currently i m using windows OS 6.0 professional, CE OS 5.2.1620 (build 18125.0.4.2)... rom version 1.56.405.5, dated 08/28/07... radio version 1.27.12.11... protocol version 22.45.88.07H... can any1 gv me the link or slightly guide me on the upgrades necessary? TF2D works well on a kaiser, just not in landscape. TF3d is not a completed project yet. Many short comings to put up with. TF3D looks cooler, but M2D runs much better and cleaner.
Oh ...and try to post in complete sentences, we don't use text speak around here, it makes your questions look less than serious and people will just skip over them rather than trying to figure out what the heck your trying to say, just a friendly tip
oh, no wonder... Erm, i was previously using spb backup in WM6 professional, but when i restore it in the cooked rom garmin dk.10 final, it just won't work... I couldn't get my contacts back now... I tried to delete the file in windows folder to replace the pim.vol file (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1832331&postcount=2), but it doesn't allow me to do so in the windows folder (can't choose the delete option). Any tips for this?

Yay~ thanks to all, I have managed to solve that problem... All i did was by doing a backup with spb backup, then restore with my previous backup files and thank god, the contacts were there! So i used Pimbackup to back the contacts, restore the backup i last did, and put back the contacts... Really enjoy the TF3D on my kaiser... Just that there isn't a video call function... hope there will be a cab file to put this function in soon enough~
As the topic-title says i accidentally deleted Teeter. I installed an version of Teeter from the XDA Diamond with new additional levels. The description said it will NOT conflict with the ROM Teeter. But it did. And because it was for VGA the ball was stretched.
So i uninstalled the modified game and now also the ROM Teeter ist gone.
Can anyone help? Would be so great to have the CAB for the WVGA version. I LOVE the game. Thanks in advance!

Found the Teeter.lnk in the Windows Directory. Just had to create a new shortcut. Sorry for confusion.

I recently upgrade my diamond with custom rom & it dosent have teeter in it. I like that game very much. can someone help me out in this by send me cab file for this game so that I will be able to install that game in this custom rom.

me too. i just flashed my htc topaz to a new rom but it doesn't have teeter on it. i tried several cabs from google and within this forum but none of them work...if any1 have the teeter game for htc topaz aka htc pure, plz PM me! thx a lot.
