Anybody know of a good battery meter? I'd like something that has a little bar meter, with a percentage. Something small that displays on the task bar. maybe changes colors based ont he battery level. I saw one cooked into a ROM (can't remember, I've flashed so many) that looked like a little battery Icon. I don't know what it was called though...
honestly, the s2u2 is the best battery meter out there....
the battery meter that comes with the pdacorner ultimate rom is exactly what ur looking for. U cant really tell from the pics, but it is a regular battery meter near the upper right corner that has the exact percentage directly above it. It also changes color depending on strength, so at 100% its green, 75% orange, 50% yellow and at 25ish it turns red.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428261&highlight=pdacorner
I've always been a fan of the ones that go all the way across the top, this one is good, light, and free. Putting it up there frees up a bit of space, and you can change the colors to match your theme. I think the one you're talking about was on the PDAcorner roms, could check the list of programs in the thread and see if it's downloadable separately.
Hope this helps

Cool, thanks guys
I know of another one have to post once I get home
Now it is attached the only disadvantage of this one is that it is an exe so you have to start it everytime you could use mortbuttons to make it easier to access
This one is the most colorful i've seen
Here you go, all it changes is the battery and its good for 1% incriments!
What does this file do?
Hi
Thanks. What I want to do is to have the time and battery meter at the top all the time when I use my Touch Pro? I installed this Cab. The icon that displays the type of online connection and the call history display seems to have changed.
This may be a silly question. What is this cab supposed to do do?
Many thanks.

Battery and Time on top
Hi
In answer to the last message I installed greenbatteryfix.cab. What I would like to see is both the time and the battery indicator at the top at all times. This cab does not appear to do this.
All the best.

It just means your on the edge network.
i know what it means...is there anyway to make it go away?
do you mean to remove it from the bar? if it is so i dont know xD..
but... theres a reason for do that?
yea..i want it gone...i want there just to be the battery icon and the signal quality, sound, time, task
yeah i wish we could get rid of this too it's a waste of space in the upper bar. Expecially since it shows the "E" "G" or whatever in the signal strength area too.
Wisbar advance can do this and much more.
Here's my today with signal on the left side and connection, date/clock, today and close button on the right.
err, i want to keep my homescreen how it is now.....
here is an example of what i want.
As far as I know, you can't edit your top bar without replacing it (by using Wisbar), since there's no option for it within the Windows OS.
whats up dude!
alrighty...i give up then...if anybody finds a way please post in this thread...
i just realized...if i do make the logo go away...it wont display when I'm connect to wifi...so maybe I'm better off just leaving it.
It's not that obtrusive, and it's usually helpful to tell whether or not you're on EDGE or a 3G connection, or if you have neither.
I have set it so show small E or G on top of signal scale. As for wifi, it only shows when i actually connect to the network.
Check out scaps advanced config or kaisertweak, i thought i somethign about showing/not showing those icons. not sure what goes in its place though
kaisertweak doesnt have it...and teva, how did u do that?
neither does scraps advanced config
Below you can see settings for taskbar. You can set a lot of things and even use your own icons. It's a mighty tool for UI customization.
what program is that? wisbar?
err...i hate that program i just messed up my homescreen...had to uninstall...thank you anyway...I need to somehow find i way to either get rid of it..or make it little and ontop of the signal strenght

What program was it? Wisbar?
Thanks
WisBar Advance can hide the phone icon and still display the Network icon. It will also only display the Network icon when it is connected if you should choose.
I use both WiseBar and the other Lakeridge product (WisBar Advance Desktop) that ties into it to customize the desktop and create virtual pages. Began using it since my old iPaq 3800 and still like it the best of all the skin apps.

The developer, Chris McKay, is always on the forums and is probably one of the most responsive developer I have seen.
I am after a battery icon that shows the percentage left of the battery, instead of just the basic 3-4 bar battery.
iv done several searches looking under all the forums and the closest i found is in the link below. This is perfect for me however i cant get it to work. The icon stays at 90% then doesnt chnage, even though my battery level drops down. Idealy id liek to try and find a fix for this, but alternatively, does anyone else have any suggestions?

thanks for the reply, that is almost what im after, i like the format of it but id prefer it to be in the task bar, so i can see it when im using other programs. Id also be happier with a cleaner look, having just the one battery bar.

QuickMenu shows the percentage in the task bar. It is obviously a Start Menu replacement as well....but the battery percentage is a great additional feature (I'm not sure you can keep it showing while in other programs, however). You can find it here:

Idealy id like a % as well to replace the stock battery icon, if anyone can recommend any more, but if not ill just stick with the batti program.

I installed it anyway on my Kaiser, looks and work great .

Thanks for the find, this one works ok. Have you noticed it changes the E for edge to 3G? Weird thing to build in...
Man I wish I spoke Vietnamese, lol
Actually I noticed something else! I noticed it installed in fact new layouts for the call history as well as for the PIN dialpad :O ! It looks nice but was unexpected.
THe icon change, I would have to look into it .

I had to uninstall this app, it changed way to many things other than just the battery meter. Still on the search for the one in the Viet ROM.
Anyone? Bueller?

Maybe it's my device, but when I try to uninstall this, it freezes. I launch the uninstall process, I see the top bar disappearing as it's being removed, then freezes. After soft reset, the top bar is still.
EDIT: ok, after removing the BatteryLevel.exe from the startup folder, softreseting, then trying to uninstall, it worked because the .exe was not in use anymore
Can anyone explain how 6.5's Title and Bottom bar are transparent?
I have read several times over the past year that creating transparent bars that would be compatible with multiple themes would be impossible. Rather, the image creator would have to blend their theme with the top and bottom bars for each theme. So someone with some imaging background and has an idea what is inside of 6.5 build 21159 that would allow that to happen could you please explain this to me, thank you in advance.
I noticed this when I was working on my first rom. I have encountered many errors when the device boots over the past day after removing and adding files. This is what it looks like so far.
Last night I was capable of only having the highlighted items appear on the today screen. For example, if I was to select "Phone" it would become centered and the rest (favorites, voice, time and operator, text...) would disappear but I forgot what operations I performed to allow that feature. I was forced to restore all the files. However, it did look nice not having the today screen cluttered.
Cooking a rom is not easy, I learn better by visualizing and "hands on" rather than reading, which appears to be my only resource. I should probably take a few notes. Anyhow I am going to give it a few more attempts.
edit: I forgot to mention this theme is not mine. I do not know where it came from and there was no purpose for a rom to be released with this theme. So I apologize to the theme and icons creators' in advance.

I, for one, thank you for transparent bars. ( . Y . )
I didn't realize
how much important information could be hidden by those top and bottom bars!
Now I know
will this theme make 6.5 have full transparancy with the top & bottom bars? if so can someone post it? i've tried the registry mod with full transparent images and i couldnt get it to work. thanks
There are many threads talking about this, but this one seems best answer:

Hello.
Today so wired because 'a tiny green spot' as I wrote...
By the way, I am so confuse this point.
My previous one is Trinity (WM5.0).
In power window, My previous one shows 'Remained Capacity' as graph and number.
However, This one just show bar graph. It is quite inconvenience for me.
I would also like to know how to get more information on battery status than the small taskbar icon...
yeah me to..got mine yesterday after using the htc touch for 2 years.. but i guess you can't see the capacity..lets wait for a app
Batti 2.4
I'm almost 100% sure the Topaz doesn't show the battery status as a percentage.
Maybe you could try Batti 2.4. It shows a colored bar at the top of your display.
It works in VGA displays, i think it should also work on WVGA.

Don't forget, you can go into the Power settings of the phone (through advanced control panel/settings) and see the power bar with a bit more detail
Also you can see when the last time you charged, standby hours, how much the phone has been used since last charge
It's actually really cool in the sense of information you can finally see

Yes it works!!!
Look at the purple bar at the top of the screen, my TD2 is now charging.
When it's not charging you get a rainbowcolored bar.
You can configure it in any color you like.

If you access the application "System Info" in All programs you could see battery status as a percentage.
I think this application comes pre-installed in D2.

apologies... seems the topaz / rhodium version of tf3d I was using on my touch pro is better than the one we actually got with the device!
I like to use GreenBatteryFix. I used a version of it on my Kaiser and the same version works now on my D2.
Basically it removes the 4 bars from the battery icon and puts a percentage number in it's place.
Go to the link below to download all of the versions and give them a go, not sure which version i use that works but i'm sure one of these should work.
http://rapidshare.com/files/221692844/greenbatteryfix.zip
I got this link from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3630494 - so don't forget to show your appreciation to the developer if you like his work.
Has anyone else tried this "BatteryFix" on the TD2, and if so, what version did you use that worked?
I installed FinixNOver cab with percentages and it works fine here. But I wonder I had a TD before and Shaks ROM installed on it named Topaz ROM. So there was a better notification screen with battrery status with percents. I can't see such here. Maybe we have to activate?
