I was so impresed by the beauty of the WAD2 theme from storm pack by the TheChampJT (original theme can be found here: link, that i decided to create a WQVGA theme for my omnia by it. Although the theme is made from scratch, all the icons and concept ideas are from TheChampJT so a big thanks goes to him. This is just a minimalized port from that theme. This is only a portrait theme.

*UPDATED*22/9/07*ROM: WM5SE rev 4.0 - WM5 without stylus but style!

WIZARD ONLYNEW VERSION HERE http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1671022
Hello there,
I've been working on this ROM for some time, and today I give you the final ROM.
I've been trying out WM6 ROM's, since Faria's to Zoki's wonderfull work on Touched version of WM6. But WM6 is kinda slow, IMHO. Yes, we can overclock Wizard so that it can be faster... but that makes battery drain even faster too. So I started wondering, if I could take WM5 and give it what we can have in WM6.
I've taken the Wizard Love ROM AKU 2.3 apart and made the following improvements:
- TouchFlo active - yep, you can use your fingers to go up or down, go ahead, go crazy fingering!
- HTC TOUCH CUBE - oh yeah, I managed to port the cube to WM5! I also made it like the real HTC Touch, being completly buttonless. Just slide your finger from top bar to bottom bar on today screen. (thanks gullum!)
- CUBE contacts are in sync with the HTC Home plugin. You can set them on home plugin or in the CUBE, its up to you.
- Custom Media Hub (you can change how the cube works. Since I haven't included HTC Audio Manager on this ROM, you should change the default media player to Windows Media Player).
- Black keyboard skinning
- HTC Touch PhonePad
+ T9 supported in: - Read the FAQ to enable them!
+- Czech
+- Danish
+- Dutch
+- English
+- Finnish
+- French
+- German
+- Greek
+- Italian
+- Norwegian
+- Portuguese
+- Spanish
+- Swedish
+- Turkish
- New waiting animation - you never seen it on WM5/6! (thanks to Marshall!)
- Lunar Calendar active
- Time sync active
- Disable the security warning when installing non-certified application
- Disable Error Reporting
- Bluetooth FTP is in there!
- Enable 802.11g WiFi network connectivity
- Enable ClearType in Landscape mode
- Enable FileSystem cache and set to 4096
- HTC HomePlugin 6 Button - Windows Media Player is now the default player (HTC Audio Manager is a battery eater!). The weather already has the N2A redirect done. See if it works for you. Also, Backlight and Launch Program folder are now fixed!
- HTC Touch Dialer + SmartDial always working!
- HTC Security Dialer (not pinky looking)
- HTC Touch CommManager 8Buttons (everything is working now!)
- HTC Touch WMPSkin is on by default!
- HTC X-Button 2.0 (latest).
- HTC Network Wizard (runs automatically after flashing and is totally automatic)
- CustomMediaHub - you can change the Music default player to Media Player.
- TaskManager by dotfred - so that you can kill whatever you want!
- AllBlack skinning that looks and works good!
- Increase FileSystem filter cache 4096
- Increase font cache to 16384
- Increase Ring Volume
- Today Date only one line
- SMS Sent notification is off (you can set this back using registry editing)
- Show slide-out keyboard capsdot icon next to SIP
- ArcSoft MMS 4.2.8.1 (yes, its working without any problem on WM5!!!)
- PIMBackup 2.5 - so that you can backup and restore your data
- Esmertec Java!
- Tetris game (just cause I'd like to give you something extra)
- Total Commander 2.5PB3 - for your registry/files editing
- Add a 'Disconnect' button and Timer to the Connection List for GPRS
- Adobe Flash Lite and working - go ahead, see it in action!
- Change the location of My Documents to Storage Card (More space free now!)
- Change the location of Temporary Internet Files to Storage Card (More space free now!)
- ClearTemp - so that you can make some maintainence as days go by, even clean the recent programs from start menu.
- A new battery icon for WM5 that displays current % of battery. (uff this one was tough to put in, but is here!)
- CoolCam instead of default camera (didn't delete the default one, due to MMS dependencies) and its assigned already to the camera button.
- ScreenOff already assigned to the talk button but it doesn't disable the dpad so that you can change music while using WMPlayer!
- Disable window animations
- Smartskeys - hold the right key: program really closes | hold left key: start menu - thanks for the tip for this guys.
- SoftKeys - so that you can change what they do!
- WM5torage 1.75 - you can access your PDA MicroSD even on Linux.
- Smartdialing has been design fixed, meaning that I've corrected the blue stuff that appeared when using smartdialling.
- Show Calendar event text in Week View
- Show 'busy status' in Calendar Agenda View
- Show Tomorrow's Appointments on Calendar Today item
PagePool: 12MB -> faster performance, less memory available (that's what SD is for!)
TODO/WISHLIST
- Office 2007 - not necessary, Microsoft release an update to all PPC users, even WM5. Get it here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/86vb0r
- Different icons for GPRS/Edge - already on the FAQ's on how to activate them.
Steps for an easy and troubleless installation
(CID LOCKED):
G4 - Use sSPL to flash it like a regular rom (instructions and files needed included - more info about sSPL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329147 )
G3 - Unlock your CID! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=263116 then follow CID Unlocked intructions. The sSPL doesn't work on G3 LOCKED devices.
(CID UNLOCKED):
- Install Rom using RUU (included).
I have taken out Windows Live, Adobe Reader so that you can choose what to install yourself.
Before you ask:
- Yes I did try to do it using AKU 3.3 but due to M$ bull**** I could never get this thing to work properly.
- This ROM is G4/G3 Safe (OS+Splashes+ExtendedRom)!
I'd like to thank Noonski, Zoki, gullum, the-equinoxe, Faria, mUn, anichillus, Risidoro, Marshall, its_right, theloon and those whose nicknames I can't remember for their intensive work on ROM's, making our wizards life better and teaching... you guys are a true inspiration!
Also, I'd like to thank for all of you who give me the will to go on with this and also testing this rom!
Personal Note: "Only through changing we can find our true purpose".

Code:
What I did was copy the VOICESPEEDDIAL.INK into Windows\StartMenu\. Then I select (Tools) the CONTACT that I want to use this option and Add Voice Tag.
- A2DP is skipping on music?
Code:
Maybe the contents of this thread might help you:

- Activate E (Edge) indicator on WM5
Code:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableDifferGprsEdgeIcon=1
- How to enable more languages on PhonePad?
Code:
- Open TotalCommander
- \\Plugins
- registry
- HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\IntelliPad\
- Now delete all the Library# (where # is a number)
- Edit Languages and put 20 -> this is the limit of files to look for
- LibraryCount and put 20
- PreLanguages and set to 1
Reboot the phone :) There ya go, more languages to choose from ;)
- Want to disconnect from GPRS/EDGE? - Thanks to ppcding
Code:
Regedit:
HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone\Flags2
to DWORD=16 to enable a disconnect button for GPRS connections to appear in the connectivity list.
OR
Press and hold End Call for 5 seconds.
- On the CUBE, you have Music assigned to AudioManager? - I know you do...
Code:
Although I've tried via Registry change the default player for the CUBE to wmplayer.exe, it defaults to AudioManager.
The only way to change it is using CustomMediaHub, on Programs. Save the changes, wait a minute then reset your phone.
- Problems hitting OK/X button?
Code:
FIXED: [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=66677&d=1200851779"]http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=66677&d=1200851779[/URL]
I know there's an issue on clicking the OK/X button, but you can easilly fix that
by playing a bit with the screen align. I hit the + on the middle except the
last one (top right) that you need to put the stylus about 2mm below the center.
See if that works for you!
OR
Take advantage of the SmartsKeys already built-in. Press and hold the right softkey.
- ActiveSync keeps popping up?
Code:
You can try this hack:
1) Start up AS on your Wizard.
2) Tap the menu tab/soft key and tap "Add Server Source"
3) Configure a server source with a dummy IP address, user id, password and domain name; these do not have to be real
4) Once configured you should have another sync source show up on your main AS screen...continue on.
5) Tap the menu soft key again and you should see that the sync schedule option is no longer greyed out.
6) Change your schedule from a timed automatic start of AS to manual under both fields
7) If you try to sync now, AS will try to contact your imaginary exchange server and that will take forever until it times out, so you can now delete the exchange server from your list of sync sources. Your changes to the sync schedule will remain and will survive soft resets too.
There's also the Settings->Phone->Time Zones and disable Automatic change time zone and clock.
- How do I change the PagePool for this ROM?
Code:
Use the allmighty mestrini tool: Wizard Service Tool
Here: [url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329170[/url]
OR another method - don't know if it works... I've only tested Wizard Service Tool.
[url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=323538[/url]
- How to remove "Network Wizard" notification/My country isn't listed on Network Wizard and I don't need it ?
Code:
- Cancel the automatic settings
- Go to Settings->Connections and click on Network Wizard
- Click on Menu (right soft button)
- Remove "Auto Detect Network"
- How do I customize the looks of the HTC Home Plugin?
Code:
You can try and install HTC Home Customizer. I haven't included this on the ROM
because the application can be updated. Don't come complaining if it breaks HTC Home Plugin!
Last time I checked, it worked quite well with this tho :)
[url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319308[/url]
- The Weather is not working!
Code:
[url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1548952&postcount=471[/url] - my patched Weather HTCHome.dll - should fix every not working weather.
[url]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=323393[/url] and try changing the code for your country.
OR
You can try and delete this on the Registry (N2A patch) and then softreset and see if it works again (as I said before, HTC Weather is crap).
[HLKM\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts\] and delete htc.accuweather.com that you'll find there.
OR
On your PC, to sync with activesync connection or Linux
Windows:
edit \Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts file and add
64.62.158.108 htc.accuweather.com
Linux:
edit /etc/hosts and add
64.62.158.108 htc.accuweather.com
Reboot and it should work using N2A application.
Known issues:
1 - You can't personalize the cube animation. If you do, it will stop working. If you uninstall the animation you put, the ROM will be slow as hell... ( Won't be fixed, its a limitation of cube on WM5... it was hard enough to make it work!)
2 - This ROM hasn't included the DST fix from Microsoft (for the post 2007 time savings adjustment) - In case you use OggSync (like I do to syncronize Google Calendar with the calendar on the ROM), you need to install it. You can get it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/daylightsaving/default.mspx - Also reported that you can't add new events to the calendar without the DST Fix from Microsoft.
3 - HTC Home Plugin stays always on 24H format if you change the Regional Settings... at least it works tho...
4 - If you want to add Photos to your contacts to associate it to HTC Home Plugin, you have to do it before adding it to HTC Home Plugin. Not doing so may result on an unbootable OS, and only by doing a Hard Reset will fix it.

Activate the cube: ---------------------------------------- Deactivate the cube:
This is the real cube from HTC Touch, not flash!
It looks frikkin amazing.
As soon as i get my wizard back i will defeitly try it.
(usb still not fixed)
This is putting more presure hurying up on my touch rom but it looks like i don't need to make a wizard variant.
I feel honoured and again it looks amazing. I can imagine the sleeples nights.
I really think it is a great initative, and most probaply there will be no wifi turning on and BT turning on problems because this is mostly caused by WM6 base. And memory leak?
Your damn right about audio manager. It sucks resources.
Oeh waiting animation....
As i said i don't have my wizard yet.
But is flash lite in there?
How about replacing streaming media with TCMP with flash plug in?
(not *****ing or complaining just giving you something to think about)
But also why clutter the windows folder even more.
Still, amazing.
I wish my portugese was better.
Bon trabalho.
I haven't detected problems with WIFI, Bluetooth or even memory
Touchflo works so damn fast on WM5, no more jurky scrolling! I'm quite pleased with the outcome of this The most amazing surprise was the cube poping up
im in heaven gonna pump the rom on it right now thanks, ill report back asap
I can imagine a hole in your ceiling. I eally can't wait putting it through hell with Max Pagepool and Batstatus.
Well if that all works you have got yourself a head turner.
sweet
flashing right now. Will report with findings in 24 hrs.......
In the previous version when i used touch scrolling, it wouldn't stop scrolling until i touched the screen again (unlike normal touch scrolling where scrolling slows down to a stop). Is this fixed yet?
Other than that (from the specs) it looks like a fine ROM. Downloading it right now.
Yes, its fixed It will slow down until it stops. It works too if you leave your finger on the screen and move gently up or down.
how
Super work
but 1 question,
how to remove "Network Wizard - notification ....
It runs automatically when you don't have any settings for MMS, GPRS, EDGE. It detects your GSM service capabilities and configures your device. After that, it doesn't run anymore, unless you tell it to do so on Settings->Connections->Network Wizard.
Just let it run and do its work It won't bug you more.
Does the Automatic profile work? If I have an appointment and I set the profile to automatic, will it change the sound to vibrate? This has not worked in a number of other ROMs.
OK i remove network wizard....
2 question:

Profiles for Windows Mobile

Does anybody know/use this program?
I think its THE application that I love the most on my PocketPC/Herald, but I never see it mentioned anywhere.
So I've deciced to make a post about the possibilities of this program:
(No I DO NOT work for them or know any of them personally )
What is it?:
- A piece of software that will let me create custom (phone) profiles for Windows Mobile Professional devices.
So, ok there are more programs like this, so why this program?:
- Because it is VERY clean on your TodayScreen, just one line displaying the profile selected.
So what makes me so excited about Profiles for Windows Mobile?
- Because every custom made profile allows you to run a program of choice.
You can then link that profile to start at a certain time, or start it manually by pressing a software button (or select the profile from the dropdown list on the todayscreen)
or a hardware button.
- You can also enable/disable the Phone/Wifi/Bluetooth per profile.
- You can also switch the screen (portrait/landscape) per profile.
This allows me to do the following on my Herald:
- I've created these profiles, which perform these steps:
* normal
this profile sets the phone volume to normal volume and starts every day at 7am.
* silent
this profile I select by hand if I don't want to be interrupted
* vibrate
this profile I select by hand and puts the Phone on...vibrate (go figure), nice for meetings
* internet
now it gets good, this profile I select by hand (an icon under programs) and does the following:
- sets the call/sms volume to a certain volume
- enable the WiFi connection
- start PocketIE
* itunes
i love this one 2, does the following (when I tap on the icon)
- sets the call/sms volume to a certain volume
- enable the WiFi connection
- start Salling Clicker (remote control for installed itunes on my pc)
* headphone
this is the most used one and I start it by simply pressing once on the right softkey button on my Herald:
- sets the volume of the phone ringer/sms low
- starts Coreplayer
Now I don't go DEAF anymore when someone is calling me
Here's the official site, but I really do recommend you get the slightly older version: 2.1.0.558, because it's slightly faster and works beautifully under WM6.1.
http://www.winmobileapps.com/device/pocketpc/pwm/pwm.aspx
Edit: I know this looks like a big advertisement, but I just like the program and want to bring it under your attention and show you the possiblilities

4 columns for TF3D

I discovered a (not bug free though ) fix to the 4 column desire.
Problems:
The start menu is activated on selection of program shortcut
Adding or removing shortcuts activates the All Programs tab which then locks the Programs tab - restart TF3D to fix this (toggle Today menu item - select ok each time)
Please don't try to load the XVGA patch (it's probably not generic) - I tried and it made the Programs tab all disappear.
There's 3 patches
1. AllPrograms_Tab - Credit to showaco
gives you 4 columns on the Programs tab (the favorites)
also for All Programs but DO NOT USE this 2nd function or else the 1st one freezes.
2. The regedit for the standard WM programs (also Settings will be 4 columns) is commonly found.
3. adding the standard WM Start Menu
can't recall where I got it but the cab is below
the patches:
1. AllPrograms_Tab
I used v4.1 4 icons
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487192
2. the regedit:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\
Add a New Key “IconConfig”
In there Add DWORD Values:
“HorizontalIconSpacing” Dec value=”112"
“VerticalIconSpacing” Dec value=”115"
“IconTitleFontSize” Dec value=”6"
3. the classic Start Menu added to TF3D
see below

Will this theme work with the newest 1.19 version of TL?

Ok i will try it with 1.1.19 and report if it works.
Ok, first report:
The taskbar looks not very good, see screen shot of the home page.
The programs page is very hard to scroll, it overshoots always and one has to scroll up and down to get to the program. One can only scroll over the program tabs and also to stop scrolling, so it is very often the case that a program is unwanted launched. It would be better if there was the possibility to scroll on the side of the program tabs.
On the other pages the regular windows taskbar is shown.
That is all for the moment... i am still playing with it. I love the look of this theme, really. Thanks for this.
thanks for the fb - the artifacts could be a result of the rom you are using. i have had that appear once or twice since upgrading to 6.5 but it does tend to disappear?

Yes you were right, it has disappeared now.
I sense a bigger battery drain, but i am not sure if it is due to TL itself.
Also i think the sliding from one page to the next or the opening of a page through the buttons could be a bit faster.
Otherwise this theme just rocks.
Are you DaceC?
This theme is amazing and your best work, I tested on my Imagio and it works very good.
I always recommend to use Standalone mode with TL instead of plugin today, it works better.
congratulations!!
Yes I am DaveC ironically I hadn't intended to get so involved with TL when I registered so decided to use mix up my name. Now im stuck with two names.
I have never actually tried standalone mode - will have to give it a go.
While I am not personally a fan of the theme style, I must say that I am impressed. Very good job sir. Keep it up!

If you are using stanalone mode, just delete the "Background" path if you have one.

you have to go into the subsystems and hailing freqencies and set to vibrate or sound off at the moment.
i could probably add a switch to the config file that will mute the theme sounds but not the phone sounds for 1.1

The programs page is very hard to scroll, it overshoots always and one has to scroll up and down to get to the program.

If you are running as a today page try in standalone.
What device resolution are you using? i think for thr W version I could space the icons out a little more but in the mean time you can press and hold to scroll up or down in blocks without it actually selecting the item you have pressed.

I have the same device as you Omnia i900, WQVGA.
Ok scrolling like that works better.
I have seen that sometimes i have to restart TL as it becomes sluggish and unresponsive.
Will try to use as standalone, i only need to see how to exit TL programatically, as i use a switcher to switch between Titanium, TouchFLO, MobileShell and TL.
that must make for a huge memory overhead

WAD HTC theme (WVGA)

Hi,
Here's a theme for Wisbar Advance Desktop which is inspired by HTC Touchflo/Sense.
There are 6 pages:
Home
Features clock/weather info/upcoming appointments/togglers for Bluetooth Wifi and Volume profiles
Contacts
All contacts button launches contacts (not surprisingly!!)
Favourite contacts button opens a dock, which you can add your own favourite contacts to. Tap the dock to hide it again.
SMS
Previews SMS in your inbox.
Features buttons to refresh (reload latest SMS), skip forwards/backwards through your messages and reply to a message.
Email
Same as SMS page, but for email. Currently this is configured for Google Mail accounts, but this can be amended.
Web
Contains Shortcuts for different browsers - currently Internet Explorer and Opera (script opens Opera Mini 5, if you have any other version of Opera installed, edit the script to launch that instead).
Favourites
Blank page for you to add your own shortcuts to.
Switch pages by swiping left/right, or jump to a page by tapping the icons at the bottom of the screen.
The taskbar displays:
Signal strength and network name
Unread SMS icon
Wifi on icon
Bluetooth on icon
Volume profile
Battery meter
To install:
Extract the contents of the attachment and:
Install Mortscript cab.
Create a new folder on Storage Card and place all folders (except 'HTC theme') into it.
Install WiFi toggler cab and set the script for the wifi switch on the home page to launch this program.
Set the script for the Bluetooth switch on the home page to launch 'ToggleBTh' (this is in the 'Bluetooth Toggler' folder and is an executable file - does not need to be installed).
Place the 'HTC theme' folder into Program Files/Lakeridge/Wisbar Advance Desktop/Themes (on phone or storage card memory - make sure this is the same memory which you have installed WAD to)
Tap and hold screen in WAD>>change theme>>(press menu and scan for themes if this theme is not listed)>>tap HTC theme>>press menu and select set as portrait theme>>tap apply.
Enter WAD settings menu>>weather>>large icon set>>change directory to Weather Icons/Large (in the folder you created on your storage card).
Copy the contents of the 'Fonts' folder to Windows/Fonts.
Open the 'Msg_preview' folder,
Copy the 'Message2Reg' folder to Program Files (on phone memory)
Copy the 'Messages' folder to Windows/Start Menu/Programs.
That should be it!!!
Enjoy!
As always, all feedback is welcome
