Yes there is. In the future do not start a new thread. Post questions in the questions and answers thread.

aruppenthal, this is not what he asked for. he wanted to add the data connection toggle to the tf3d comm manager tab. what you gave adds a 3g toggle to htcs comm manager. the tf3d comm manager tab still has microsoft push and no option to turn on an off data connection. also when i installed this it greyed out the option to do anything with the data connection so i would advise people against installing it.

Can't turn direct push on in the comm manager and have no option for GPS!!!

Ok I have looked and looked and cant find anyone haveing this problem. In my comm manager that my tilt came loaded with it will not even let me select direct push. Its just grayed out. Also there is no option to turn off or on the GPS in this comm manager. Anyone know how I can fix the direct push and where I can get a comm manager that shows the GPS? Thanks
You've got to set up your email account first. As for the GPS, I use franson GPSGate which allows me to close the GPS & also share multiple apps with the gps reciever. Otherwise you can only use one gps app at a time. I don't know of any commanager that integrates gps.
The GPS turns on automatically when something *a GPS program) accesses it and turns off when access is discontinued.
I have several email account set up. I have hotmail gmail and aim accounts set up.
Oh and thank you for the answer about the GPS I just wasnt sure.

sorry, but you can't get direct push on free web email. You need a properly configured Exchange server for you phone to connect to via ActiveSync for microdoft direct push to work.
There are hosted exchange solutions that will give you an account on an exchange box, but they cost
Thank you so much for all your replies!!! Lol Does anyone know how to do multiple IE windows on the tilt? Sorry for my ignorance.

Spb Pocket Plus is great for that (and a bunch of other things). The most recent version even allows tabs.
You'll have to buy it, but you can do a full trial first. While you're there, check out the rest of their title too. Spb is the best pocket pc developer in my mind. I have 5 of their apps on my tilt.
If you do end up using SPB, PM me to discuss the full version if you like

Contacts/Internet

I have all my old contacts from my previous phone in a VCF file and I was wondering if I would be able to transfer it to my knew tilt? Also how do I disable the internet on the tilt....I have wifi at work and home and I do not want it using it through the cell phone because I declined a data plan and just got unlimited texting...how do I keep it from accidently connecting to the internet and charging me data. Thank you for your time.
i dont know about contacts i had to do mine all over =/ nd saved them to microsoft outlook encase i lost them. but i know how to disable the internet. download KaiserTweak (search for it around this forum) nd there is an option to enable or disable internet on the tilt. theres also a lot of other stuff too.
What format does windows mobile save its contacts as? I have the ones from my sanyo as VCF files. Also I downloaded and installed that program you spoke of, ran it and saw a bunch of settings but nothing that clearly said mobile internet.....off. What am I looking for?
hmm.. it saves as a notepad file but your contacts save in microsoft outlook. so i doubt its the file youre talking about. as for KaiserTweak go down to the data tab nd look for "Enabled:Media Net" and "Enabled:AT&T ISP GPRS" if you look down it will say "Enabled (Def/Adv)" on both of them just simply click on it and disable it.

WM 6.1 Activesync & Vista WMDC data direction

Hi -- I'm running Vista Business' WMDC on my PC and WM 6.1's (ATT's unreleased, official WM6.1 ROM) ActiveSync on my Tilt. I have the sync set to replace the data on the device, but find that on occasion (mainly calendar items, but contacts, too) are being updated on my PC. Do I have the capability to fully control the direction of the sync? I want to sync only from the PC to the phone, not the phone to the PC, as any changes I make will be done at the PC.
With your phone connected via WMDC go to Mobile Device Settings>Manage a Partnership>PC Settings>choose the "If there is a conflict" dropdown menu and choose replace items on device, save.

That's exactly how I have it set, Alemaker. I've oftentimes dismissed a reminder (I set reminders days or weeks in advance and then change the reminder date as the time/date gets closer) on my Tilt, only to find it also dismissed on my PC, not reminding me at all. Until I find a definite solution, I've gotten into the habit of not dismissing the reminders on the phone. I just want to prevent the phone from doing any updating to the PC.
o.k.
This forum is a great place for issues and you may want to try posting this in the MSFT PPC newsgroups also. they can be found at microsoft.public.pocketpc. I'm sure between here and there, someone has seen this or can offer a solution.
The above setting does just what it says, uses the action you choose in case of conflict i.e same item has been changed on both devices. ActiveSync doesn't have an option to act like you want, so unless there's a hack somewhere there's no way.

After upgrading to 1.93: No "advanved" tab in phone options, Push-email setting lost

After upgrading to 1.93: No "advanved" tab in phone options, Push-email setting lost
Hi,
I have successfully upgraded the ROM of my unbranded Diamond to 1.93 using the German ROM file downloaded directly from htc.com. Everything went Ok, the phone is well and faster as before. However I notice the following things:
a.) In the Phone options (on the phone page, tap menu->options) I have all tabs from Phone (leftmost), Services, Network, etc. etc. and Others (rightmost) but next to that the "Advanced" tab is supposed to be there --- but it is not! (Of course the German version should show this tab as "Erweitert").
b.) Before the upgrade there was a "Microsoft Push e-mail" setting in the TFL3D settings page. This is not there anymore.
Any ideas anyone?
BTW: Can anyone point me to a page describing how to get push-email going with my diamond using a free push-email provider on the internet? Thanks.
Cheers // Tom
a) see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=429823
b) Advanced Config - Menu - More Settings - Comm Manager
Deselect something you don't need (so much) and select Push mail
Thanks a lot -- works flawlessly.
Where can I configure Microsoft Direct Push, though? I can't find that?
Thanks // Tom
Open Program Advanced Config (version 3.2)
Select Menu (left bottom)
Select More Settings
Select Comm Manager
Select button style ON/OFF buttons
Then you can select 6 choices
One of the choices is Microsoft Direct Push
OK
Done
Softreset
Ok - got it now.
A related question: I want to use GMX Push Mail using IMAP IDLE.
I've configured the account on the Touch Diamond but how can I enable IMAP IDLE on my Touch Diamond so that it doesn't disconnect the IMAP session and stay connected and immediately get newly arriving e-mails?
Thanks // Tom
Oh - and when I have multiple e-mail accounts, where can I select which e-mail account is the default for the TF3D display?
BTW: I love my Touch Diamond!
Tom
The default email account is the first one you add. The amount of unread emails is an aggregate of all your accounts in TouchFLO 3D.
About the push email, haven't used GFX, but with Exchange you just set Activesync sync schedule to 'As items Arrive' which turns on push email. Sorry I can't help more than that!
Ok, thanks but ain't there a way to change the e-mail account which is used for display in Touchflo 3D?
As for push-email. The HTC e-mail client is said to support IMAP IDLE, however I cannot find any setting related to that?
Any other ideas anyone?
Thanks again everybody for your help.
Cheers // Tom

I'm not sure what you mean, as 'multiple' email account can be shown in TouchFLO 3D? Once you set up more than one, you can click the little icons and the envelope will flip over to show you the next account? And like I said, the first account you set up is the one that is shown first on the mail tab. I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding your question.

Ok, I was misunderstanding the Mail page in Touchflo 3D. I did not see the little e-mail account selection icons on the right border of the screen. I have my old GMX account on the top now and my new GMX Push account on the bottom and can select between the two.
Now the only thing left is the IMAP IDLE setting which I cannot find.
As a related question: GMX requires particular SSL ports to be used for sending/receiving mails. Where can I configure the mail server SSL ports?
Thanks everybody // Tom

[SOLVED] How to hide OUTLOOK from eMail tab in TF3D?

Here's a tip for all who wants to hide the OUTLOOK account from the email tab in TF3D who have 4 email accounts like me
(thanks to Pietje_1985 for the hint)
Make a backup of all of your emails (eg use PIMBackup) to get them back if it's necessary
Connect your device to PC via ActiveSync
Open ActiveSync on your PC
Tools -> Options -> uncheck Email
confirm the dialogue box
Worked for me
-Lycox
Good question. And additionally the "System" folder for Blackberry Connect users...

At least..one thing I know is try to uncheck the email option @ ActiveSync on your pc....I think it is telling you then it will remove all email stored on your device via Outlook....not HOTMAIL!
I'm figuring out if there's another solution....I thought there was....I'll let you know, as soon as I found it

No I think it should only remove your OUTLOOK settings and no hotmail...
Try this as well....PPC PIM backup:
http://www.dotfred.net/
you can also make a backup first with this app and afterwards try to delete the account...if failed, you can always revert back....
Good luck

Well okay, but there's no need for me to delete Outlook email complety, I just want to remove it from the email tab of TF3D.
Maybe, there's an entry in one of the manila files, that can be hidden or deleted...

No, not possible with Outlook. Already tried that...
Use TF3D config (search for it in the forums) and in the first option it will say tabs on the bottom and you will be able to hide or add, even rearrange your tabs for diamond.

LOL, I don't wanna hide the the whole eMail tab, I just want to hide OUTLOOK inside the tab. Please read carefully before posting
Just download tf3d config (search for it in the forums). Once you open up the first page will be tabs, there you check or uncheck whatever you want to see for the tf3d.

Thanks worked for me!
ps for any1 having trouble getting email but internet and weather works change network connection to Work from The Internet
in Advanced Server Settings
Got lucky and didn't even bother configuring email when I first connected to ActiveSync and so I never saw that email account in the TF3D tab.
However, I would like to remove the Sprint Picture Mail tab and account from the Mail TF3D tab as I don't use it and it pushes one of my other email accounts off the screen so I can't see the unread count. Any ideas?

Ye, I second that, anyone?
nope
Well I can't get rid of outlook mail on my Diamond. I'll keep trying
There is another way without connecting the phone to the pc, just go to activesync then press menu then options then untick E-mail, same way of doing it just saves looking for the all important cable!
