Good place to find parts? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

My poor Tilt lost its voice yesterday. The external speaker (speakerphone/ring) is totally boned. Any ideas where I might find a replacement? If anyone has an extra from a broken Tilt, I'd be willing to compensate you and pay for shipping. Or if you live near the Columbus area of Ohio I'll totally buy you a beer or three. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently back to using my ancient Motorola v550 *cries*. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Sharpiemarker

Trying to buy DVD-r in London...

Hello!
I am staying in a friends flat in London, near Borough station and am looking for a place to buy some blank DVD-r discs. I have gone into a few shops over the past few days but have not found anything. I would like to be able to take the tube somewhere tomorrow morning to burn my pictures onto discs before we leave tomorrow. If somebody knows a spot please help me out. Thanks!
If no one can tell you anywhere closer try just about any shop on tottenham court road... theres tons of gadget/computer shops there that sell them..
Mind you any WH Smith, Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys will also sell them.. as well as any poundland or thousands of other shops..
Should be pretty easy to find in London If the person you ask in the shop looks confused when you ask for a DVD-R try asking for a Blank DVD that should work We're maybe not as tech savvy in the UK as US shops would be.
(A quick Google shows a WH Smith not too far from you)
Thanks...
I appreciate the help. I may be able to make it over to the WH Smith before we head out. Thanks again!

I got really badly screwed!

Hi guys,
i recently have tried to buy a car off auto trader and paid via money gram (post office service) and registered the funds to be only available to me.
Anyway the guy i was buying off was a scammer, he obviously made fake I.D and cashed the money before i had a chance to blink...
I really need help getting this money back and any contributions you can offer ill be really grateful even (a few £'s would be great).
Im a student nurse without a car now and really need something to get me from A to B.
if you can spare anything my paypal is [email protected]
regards, dan brown.
Cant you try recover the money using autotrader i'm sure they'll try help Jw what car ??
Is there nothing you can do?
Surely the post office service has some sort of safeguard against this!
Ill send you a few bob when I get my wages in
I'll have some money too if any is going spare... [email protected]
Seriously though, how do we know this is even genuine? And why should I give you money because you weren't careful enough when buying a car? I'm sorry it's happened to you but you should have been more careful.

i understand you lost money, even i did on xda during a trade...but if everyone made a post for it, it would look more out of trying to make money. try talking to western union about it. they may be able to help you
Sorry dude, but that's life. Better to be careful next time you do a transaction.
This kind of threads are not allowed in xda (even in off-topic), first and final warning. Thread closed

[Q] Australian MotoX owners, Screen repair advice?

Hi,
Im hoping for some advice. I have a MotoX 2014 from UK MotoMaker. I live in Austrtalia.
Yesterday I cracked my screen. I contacted Motorola Australia about organising a repair/replacement. I've seen people talking about a first time, $120, replacement? They said there is nothing they can do as I bought the phone in the UK. There Australian service centre could take a look, for a fee.
Before talking to Motorola UK, I was wondering if anyone from Australia has had a repair done on a Moto X? How much did the screen repair cost from Motorola? What other phone repair shops would you recomend?
Thanks for any help,
Michael
Just wondering how you went here Michael I am in a similar predicament?
Cheers
Hi mate.
I got a few quotes from local repair shops, the only one that was confident that they could get the part was http://www.aussiemobilephonerepairs.com.au
It cost me $220, and they organized all the postage etc (they are in Bris, I'm in ACT). This was the cheapest quote too.
New screen looks great, only issue is that the adhesive on my wood back is now a little loose in places, so it pops up and doesn't sit so flush anymore. Not a huge issue, i could fix it with glue!
Good luck mate.
On a side note, I now have another issue I'm trying to resolve! For a "Global" company, Motorola certainly make it hard to get help!

Hey folks, I'm hoping you might be able to help me out here. I cracked my screen and contacted Huawei support for help. Because I purchased my international version outside of markets they support, they're not willing to help, in any way. I wasn't even trying to get it fixed for free and was willing to pay for a fix but still, no luck. Can anyone here speak to how difficult it is to repair this on my own or refer me to a reputable company that's willing to do this via mail?
I'm based in the SF Bay Area and my research has lead me to online replacement digitizers/screens for roughly $205 usd but I'm not sure about the quality or reliability of these parts (https://www.witrigs.com/oem-lcd-screen-with-digitizer-for-huawei-mate-10-pro-titanium-gray).
Any help or referrals is greatly appreciated!

I dont know any website that sell replacement parts but this looks suspicious they call it lcd screen although it should be amoled. only once they call it amoled... so inconsistent.
