Alright, so I use the HTC Home plugin with the home customizer and I love it as far as a basic, simple UI. I updated to the official WM 6.1 ROM about 4 or 5 months ago with absolutely no problems. One day, I noticed the actual music tab disappeared and wouldn't come back up no matter what. No big deal, I can deal without it. Now today my favorite contacts tab just disappeared. I can't seem to bring it back at all. I've removed and added it a bunch of times and still no dice, it's not appearing. So basically my question is should I just uninstall and reinstall the HTC Home plug-in or is this a common problem that people are having with the update? Just seeing what everyone has to say.
Thanks,
AJ
Im going to bump my own post, just to ask another question. I can't figure out that Home tab issue so I'll ask a completely unrelated question. I installed SCLPF cube and I can't figure out how to pull it up, haha. The simplest thing. I have the setting and everything tweaked but I just can't figure out how to get the cube to appear. Any suggestions?
the music tap is made by hhc when you delete it the mucic tape will be removed

I'm new here, sorry if this questions bother you but I need some help. My Att TILT is working perfectly, I installed Home HTC today screen and I love it but I'm thinking to go further with the changes and I want to know If this will work in my device with out damaging.
Installing CAB files on my TILT like Home HTC sprint plugin, enlarge START menu and calculator SKIN, can you let me know if this will affect the device performance and if I decided to delete these anytime, could I do it.

The answer to you question is Yes! You can install them and remove them later if you decide to; however, I'm not sure about the calculator skin. Skin uninstallation sometime may not work.
Thanks very much for all your help.
Main point of all this is: What theme are you cube users using and where can I get it?
Story:
So I have a tilt and was really excited to get the cube working on it. I got all the necessary cabs and what not from duttythroy ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=336482 ). The home plug in was working everything was there and I was so happy. The only thing missing (since I am using the stock att rom) was the htc grey/black theme to match the cube. So I found this one on google ( http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-black-wm6-theme.html ). Looks good right? Well after installing, that is where everything went wrong...
Now my tilt keeps freaking out by constantly flashing boxes. It looks like they are minimizing boxes starting from the entire screen and then into the middle. It also seems like its randomly clicking things when it sometimes does this too. I thought maybe it was the touchflo cube stuff so I deleted that all. Still does. Deleted the theme. Still did not fix the problem. It does the box/freaking out thing even more when i play with the wheel on the side.
I want to say it was the theme but I have no idea. I am going to hard reset the device anyway to get all the bloatware off so if the solution isnt found its not a big deal. I am just wondering what all you cube users are using for your theme and if you could point me in the right direction to it.
I have Dutty's ROM and when I enabled "animate windows" it did the exact thing that your talking about. It was in "advanced settings" I believe, but that might only apply to the ROM I have, it's probably a registry setting.
GENIUS
You are a GENIUS my friend. After disabling window animation in kaiser tweak and after a soft reset the weird box thing problem goes away! Thank you so much. You just made my day... I would have never figured it out
Hi guys,
This is my first post and unfortunately stuck at a dead end, i got my missus the htc diamond from vodafone 3 weeks ago (uk) yesterday we noticed that we could update it using the update from vodafone's website.
Now the htc is running irregular, the touchflo interface runs, but when ever you swipe through the icons (weather, home, contacts etc) it just skips to the buttons instead of scrolling through them in its animated gesture, Also, i thought the update would contain performance updates, but now its even slower on the touchflo ui, Has anyone else had this problem soo far? i think if i remember rightly, the rom was the 1.93 version,
Any help will be appreciated
Yep, the animations were removed from 1.93 to make it feel snappier. It might be worth doing a hard reset after the rom update.
Bummer, i thought so, Its just a bit more stuttery now without the scrolling animations, Its a bit of a stupid thing to do seeing as the interface was one of the main selling points of the phone!
Is there any way to bring back the animation (this is the partners phone so she likes animations etc)
Maybe reverting back the touchflo software as i think its different from the initial release.
Anyone else noticed bugs in the vodafone release?
Just found the original manilla theme after some googling, as the phone had that awful vodafone home screen, the buttons now animate, just not the wallpaper. So we're getting there, now gonna install touchflo config and run the performance tweaks
This is soo strange, how do i add music to play on the touchflo music applet? It will search if i reset it, but it still wont find any tracks even though i've got them installed on \internal storage, Does anyone have a simple answer to this one
Totally confused (even after years of using wm)
Search for TLR-Manilla.cab (if have lost the link). That cabfile will reinstall the animations from the previous ROM.
It's been a few months since I have been to this forum and it looks like there are lots of cool new programs and a new device (the diamond) that has provided some new cabs. I had gotten a lot of great cabs and tips here from last September through Spring but have not really added much to my phone since then. I had Ultimate Launcher with HTC Home as one of the cube faces and I really loved it. Anyway, I recently ruined my Tilt and had it replaced but the new Tilt has windows mobile 6.1 in place of 6.0 and not all of my old cabs/programs work anymore. I'm excited to see what else is out there for 6.1, but in the meantime, I noticed that the stock tilt comes with a version of HTC Home that has 4 of the 5 tabs (it's missing the music tab). I tried to use HTC home customizer but I can't. I can't seem to load a new version of HTC home over it either. I could not find the HTC Home program in the list of removable programs.
Maybe it's time for me to take the leap and move to a flashed ROM but every time I read through the instructions I get a little nervous and decide to wait until I feel like I really know what I am doing.
Anyway, I'd like to remove this stock version of HTC Home and load up a new version of HTC Home and start adding some cool cabs that work with WM6.1 but I can't find any threads addressing this HTC Home issue. Does anyone have any advice?
I too am interested in this if it is possible.
I dont have a working pc at home right now so flashing is not really an option for me.
What version of HTC home are you trying to install. I think there are a few out there. Also what error or msg are you getting when trying to install the faulty htc home plugin?
I successfully installed the new HTC home over the stock one on my AT&T stock ROM 6.1 and nothing broke. it pretty much overwrites the previous one so you don't have any duplicate entries in the remove programs or anything.
i tried to install HTC Home - Schen 2.1 with N2A weatherpatch (UPX compressed). i just realized my mistake was not deselcting it from the home screen before installing the cab. i feel like a jackass. thanks to the people who offered help. by the way is there a newer, better version of HTC home to install?
After I've upgraded my TD2 to Win 6.5 mobile with the official rom, I realised that everytime I wake up my phone from stand by or go back from dialer and some menu windows; the flip clock flips from 1 hour 1 minute past to the original time. e.g. if the time is 19:25; when I wake up from stand by I see 18:24 and then clock flips to 19:25 immediately.
Not a big issue but could not get used to.
Any solution to this would be great?
Thanks,
I agree with you. It's annoying. I often just turn on the phone to check the time and it's not automatic. I have to wait until it quits flipping.
Yeah i agree, its bloody annoying. Anyone know a way to stop it?
There's a tool for the touch HD, called manilla tweaker or something like that, that does that, but I can no longer find it. I agree completely: it's very annoying
Hi,
I have the same problem. If someone knows the tool to adjust this I would be very happy.
thank you
regards
Andre
I'm in the same boat.
Just plain OEM WinMob 6.5 from HTC. Nothing added at all.
I get that annoying clock flip. Its annoying. I thought it was the DAYLIGHT saving being applied and also simply the minutes being refreshed. Perhaps I just thought this to save myself from going mad..... but it's annoying :'(
Upgrade your rom to duttys, I did this tonight. Much improved.
hmm i was thinking of flashing dutty's rom...but reading the many postings of bugs scared me away.
TESS 3.7 or later also fixed this
I suffered the same problem with the official ROM, and many more besides.
I have gone back to using the Topaz Essentials (TESS) version 3.7. It's very close to stock but with none of the issues. It's very fast and very good with the memory mangement so i would reccommend it anytime.
By the way, in a working ROM what is supposed to happen is the active weather screen gets re-activated, the official ROM has a bug that instead flips the clock.
I'm hoping that Microsoft & HTC keep on the ball with all of these and release a series of fixes ASAP.
Cheers, Rob.
So any update on this? So friggen annoying
Use This tool it will stop the unnecessarily flipping
If you google "flip clock fix" within the forum you will get at least a couple of interesting threads talking about this totally useless "feature". Anyway note that many cooks have fixed this in their respective ROMs, included the one in my signature (available also in english)
@ munrobasher: I'm afraid that nor MS nor HTC won't move a finger about it, thinking it's a cool effect
I've used this program for both Touch Pro 2 and Diamond 2 running original HTC Win 6.5 rom and it works great...
Just install Cookies home tab 2.It helps very good with that problem
