Any recommendations for a Holy Bible app?
Thanks for all of the recommendations. Here is a list of what you have posted so far...
- http://www.e-sword.net/pocketpc/ [I really like this app, I have used it (and the desktop version) for awhile. I just don't like that the developer hasn't integrated touch functions yet. The tiny "action" buttons and drop down menus are a bit annoying. I would also like some touch jesturing while scrolling through the text.]

Any other recommendations??? I will continue to edit new responses. Thanks.

How about the Torah, the Koran, the Book of Cybalism, the Epic of Gilgamesh and the Book of the Law?

I use olive tree. It works fairly well, not the best designed piece of software but gets the job done.
I've used Pocket Bible since my days with a Handspring Trio!

This one has many bible versions, commentaries, and dictionaries available to choose from, for free, all in one package. Works great in VGA on Pro.
I don't want to sound pedantic but is it the right forum for this subject? I doubt such software is specific to the Raphael device...

Moved to Raph Software. Would also recommend that the OP consider consolidating all the suggestions into the first post if sufficient information is present to help others who might be looking for the same info.
Laridian Pocket Bible
+1 for Laridian.com
I have been very happy with Bible With You by gmpsoft.com. You can download a fully functional trial from their web site.
There really is no true finger friendly PPC bible app out there, but I like Laridian because they allow you to tweak so many options that you can make it somewhat finger friendly ( I can go to about any bible verse just using my finger, but moreso my fingernail). Look at what I mean in the pictures below. Also I like the fact that Laridian has like 140 different types of books or Bibles that you can add to their program.
One I use on my iPod Touch and the Blackberry Bold (which I just sent back and am currently waiting for my Fuze), is YouVersion.com.
While it is free, you'll have to have some type of data plan to use this, since it does connect to their server for the data. But they've got most translations (at least most translations people use), and it is touch friendly.
Obviously I've not seen this yet on the Fuze, BUT I can't wait to check it out.

Well, for those of us who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, there's the Holy Bible (King James Version), the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price

Great, thanks JonnoB!
My laridian broke. It seems to be conflicting with something else. Has anyone else had this problem?
Another Bible Program I found
The people at AcroBible make an excellent version for the iPhone/iTouch, and offer NASB, NIV, KJV, etc.
I'm not sure how well their app has translated to the WinMo format, but like I said....they did an excellent job with their Apple version.
See them at www.acrobible.com.

Put these words together in any order you wish. Door, ass, dont, hit, on , let , out, way, the, your, the.
Seriously what do you think this thread accomplishes. Are the members of the board the reason the Kaiser has problems - no! They are all people trying to help each other and achieving great things.

Hey, it's not aimed at you, the members of this forum. No way ! We suffered together with this piece of crap. If you bothered to click the links in my sig, you would know.
Again, sorry if it seems aimed at anybody else other than HTC.
PS: Very funny first part. No sarcasm, i really liked it.

I know, isn't it great knowing we can NEVER get what we want ? But i realised what i do the most on my phone (1. e-mail 2. Opera mini 3.Phone calls) and i got what seems to fulfill my needs.
Interesting point, how does opera-mini works on the 800x480 screen ?

In a word: GREAT !
There's only one problem: if i choose the medium/small text (which gives me a page rendering close to a desktop browser), the menu bar and menus get very small -hard to hit with the stylus.

A cheap nokia could fulfil those needs, a Kaiser doubly so..
A nice video posted by Adam Z Lein at Pocketnow.com...
This site has already some interesting reports on the Touch Diamond and the final review should be out in a week or so...
Adam Z Lein very much dislikes the use of unlabled icons for navigation. Although I fully agree with him that this is very confusing if you use a menu like this for the first time, even a "normal" user should be able to figure out and get used to this kind of navigation quickly (especially if you use the very detailed manual - yep, I know, usually people do not read it... ...

Nice. I've just searched and didn't find a very thorough list of what's out there. At least not in this forum. Just a few short threads with the same couple of image editors referenced.

There's a pretty good roundup of retail programs available on MobileTech Review. Looks like you've found Pocket Artist. It's probably one of the best out there. But it will set you back $20. Well worth the price though.
Here are a few others to check out. Pencil Box Deluxe will set you back about $10, but works well and has some great features. Mobile Atelier works pretty well. This is the free version, but I believe there's also a retail version available. A similar program is VSPainter. It's retail at $25, but there's also a slightly crippled free version available. Then there's PocketPicture. It's pretty basic, but free and good for doodling. And here's another called Mobile Painting.
Then you've got a whole slew of very basic, free, and similar paint-clone programs. Such as PaintWinCE, KidColor, MiTo Team Paint, Paint & Create, and PDAcraft Paint.
Then there are programs like SPB Imageer. Not a drawing program per say, but does have some photo editing capabilities. Same with XnView, and LookMobile.
Have fun drawing!
Thanks alot, man. That was alot of nice drawing tools!
probably old but what ever.

Too bad the iPhone has push email and GPS now
really lol...
It's A-GPS, not GPS
Regular GPS is better in most cases.
older
Theses are the older ones but quite good.
A friend of mine went from a BJ to a BJ2 to a tilt, then decided an iphone was going to be better than what i had. I showed him a powerpoint presentation someone emailed me on my Fuze (touch pro) and he kinda just tucked tail between legs and probably has device envy now.
The ipwn is a slick device, but nowhere near as powerful as most winmo powered devices.
Hello
Lol they are very cool man i have not seen this before,,,,,
Just found another reason why I prefer WinMo to the iphone:

Might want to make sure you're on a private PC (not work!) before clicking that link.

Apologies for bringing this up again, but just found a sister site (literally) to the one I posted last!

Still, probably best not to click it from work....
@josefcrist - thank you! Didn't know anyone was still using one of my little attempts at reheating (was never good enough to call it cooking).

Uhhhhh, no. Perhaps you are confused as to what Assisted GPS actually is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGPS. Also, most (all?) phones that have GPS actually have A-GPS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_devices_with_Assisted_GPS . So what the hell was your point?
lol at the WM/Iphone debate.... id never trade in my fuze for an iphone....customization beats pretty looks every day
As the saying goes: WM all the way on XDA!
Hi guys,
I've just added a Facebook share button and Google+ share button to my site (on the one page for testing). The site is only a hobby and I'm new to Facebook and Google+ and don't usually use those services. However, could you please check or tell me if the buttons are or are not working or doing the right thing when you press them please? (If you use Facebook or Google.)
I'm not much of a coder and spent a while looking for custom button code. Then I simply copied some url's that a couple of other sites are using and wanted to check that it's doing the right thing.
Sorry if this sounds like spam. It's all a little sad really, this being a hobby and me being 44 and all, but I do enjoy it and it keeps me out of trouble.
You needn't share my site of course, but please let me know if the buttons are indeed working as they should.
If not, I'd appreciate a heads up of the correct way to do it.
Thanks a lot. :good:

LOL. I lost respect for you when I popped into your freeware recommendations (you can tell a lot about people by the freeware utilities they run) and I saw you have Realplayer in there. LOL. It is CANCER for the PC.
But you redeemed yourself when I saw Truecrypt in your list. :victory:

Thanks. The freeware isn't a personal recommendation, and I don't use some of it. I just like to think that it all helps newcomers (noobs) when it comes to the world of PC's.
I must admit, apart from trying the Android version to screenshot it, I haven't defaulted to RealPlayer in many years (if I even did).
Thanks both of you for your replies. I will update the other pages after work tonight.
If you have any suggestions of other stuff which might help newcomers in any of the included fields, just throw it my way.
Have a good day.
