Mobile Butler for Windows Mobile - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

I don't know if this has been requested before but some Months ago I bought an iPhone which got changed to my beautiful Touch Pro later. But I am missing one thing which was absolutely brilliant, called the "Mobile Butler"
I don't know if this was available in the US AppStore too but it was in Germany. You just insert your online details for myT-mobile and save the settings, after that the software automaticly receives infos about your Contract, how many minutes you have used or how many SMS you wrote and the amount of data which was transferred.
This was very good if you have a contract with included minutes and SMS. Just start the software and see that you have used 34/100 Minutes and 23/40 SMS this month.
I know there are tools available who count the minutes and SMS like Battery Status but this is not very accurate because it doesn't count properly and doesn't reset everytime a new bill is send while mobile butler does all this things because it connects to your mobile account and receives all the data your provider is using.
I hope you can understand what I am looking for because I am not very good in describing things ^^

If you have tmobile in the US you can dial #646# (#min#) for minutes used and for sms #674# (#msg#) and to check your balance/bill #225# (#bal#) i dont know of any software but hope this helps.

You can do that too but a software is easier, just start it and see all bills 9 months back, all hotspots around, connect to tmobile hotspots easily with one click and see how many minutes/sms you used. Better than calling all the numbers all the time.

I don't know if you are referring to "LCMinutes" above, but I've found it to accurately count your call and SMS logs, it calculates your bill based on your plan and overages, and resets the count on your billing date. I've been using it for almost 2 years (on my iPaq6940 and HTC Touch Pro), because it allows me to see when I'm running out of SMS or minutes, in a single line on my Today Screen.
I personally recommend version 1.45 over 1.54, because I had trouble with the latest version. The newest version is more configurable, though - maybe too much-so in my opinion.
The only problem I found is that I don't get an accurate count the first month the program is installed, but once it resets at your first billing-date, I've found it to be pretty accurate.
Anyways, it appears a newer version is nowhere in the future, but the author does answer troubleshooting questions from users.

for the minutes usage you can use the #646# number from above and to check your text usage, there's a neat app called PowerSMS by TrinketSoftware...its really neat and tracks in with any interval you want, month day week year and so on. Try it out

Auto text after call end?

Hey guys,
Am just getting to grips with android after switching from Windows Mobile. I must say I love the operating system I think this is one of the best phones I've ever had.
Anyways, I've just been told by T-mobile that I can now find out my allowence by texting AL to 150.
Is there any application which will allow me to send a text containing AL to 150 everytime I hang up a phone call? This... Similar to O2 PAYG, would automatically alert me of how many remaining minutes I have left after I have had a phone call.
Any Ideas?

Would be good mate but from my experience your allowance doesnt update instantly anyway well in the Uk at least i have make calls and its not been taken off my allowance for upto 1 hour afterwards in some cases well its proberly taken it off but takes a while to update your records for some reason.
dgAway kinda does what you want, it can (among other things) send an sms message to a predefined number whenever you receive a call. Check it out and see if you like it

Phone Plan Vs Usage App

I know there is an app for t-mobile users that shows how many mins they have used ect.
I would love someone to make an app FOR NON T-mobile users that works just like the tmobile app but has manual input settings. the following features would be good.
Input Bill rotation day
Input text messages a month
Input start and end times for evenings 6pm or 9pm
Input day time minutes
Input Data limit
the app will then log all your times and show you on a bar graph how many mins you have left or how many texts you have left untill you go over on ur plan and are billed extra.
Ect, it would be great to track my cell phone usage
Couldnt you just dial "#674#" or something? i think you should be able dial codes like that and it should tell you how many minutes, texts, and so far you've used and how many you have left
im on rogers in Canada, theres no such feature.
Correct me if I'm wrong...
but I don't think someone can just make an app like that, I believe the carrier would have to be involved to get all the info.

Repeated SMS from unknown sender..AT&T reps have no clue.

For 3 days now for a span of 1.5 hours a day I receive the same message from an unknown source. Ranging from every 2-5 minutes apart. Has anyone experienced this as well? Is this possibly from an AT&T Alert (QuickReach is what I was told) that no longer functions properly due to a flashed ROM?
Anyone ever heard of Quickreach?
Luckily I have unlimited SMS..so irritating.
Did you use a different SMSC # on your phone?
Happened to me once, because the dude that used the phone before me changed his smsc # on it.
There was another post on this that I ran across some time back. It stated that you might receive text messages like this when your phone is attempting to receive email through the push email function, but your phone is not connected to the internet. I do not have all of the info on this unfortunately, but I ran into it as well recently, and when I reconnected to MEdia Net, those texts stopped.
Hope this gives you some insight.
Aren't those the text messages you get after using OZ instant messaging? I used to get those when I used OZIM, as they updated its status, friend info, etc., and they would always stop as soon as I exited the application, or sometimes a few minutes afterward.
I'm not sure how you would stop this, but maybe flashing back to AT&T's stock ROM, and running OZ IM, then exiting the application fully would stop the messages. Then you could go back to whatever ROM you want. I'm not sure it would work, but it may be worth a shot. I hope that helps, and good luck,
Dave

force connect to another network?

Situation: The place I go skydiving at is really rural. My service goes in and out, but is more out than in. Is there any way possible to force a connection to the AT&T network that's out there? When I try, I get the message "Your SIM card does not allow this" or whatever it says. I don't wanna drop my T Mobile service, as I've had them since '02 and they've been great to me. But I'm at wit's end with this no service thing every weekend when I jump =/
Thanks in advance
~Lania
lol.... no not unless you can somehow get ATT to allow T-Mo sims.... and hell has a better chance of freezing over..... only option i can think of is grab an ATT ppd sim.... either do the hack to install 2 sims (requires pretty severe physical modification to the phone) or simply remove your T-mo Sim and insert your ATT sim....
you ARE using google voice arent you? in that case you can have all incoming calls ring both numbers, seeing as you should only have one registered on a network at a time....
welcome to the only reason i ever even think of dropping my T-Mo service.... and ive had them since before they were called T-Mobile... (powertel, i think.....)
No, I don't use Google voice. Don't you have to have an invite for that?
Anyway, it's not that big a deal I guess...My service has been gettin a lil better the more I go out there. Last weekend if I put my butt up against the hanger door, I got signal lol My contract is up next August. Prob switch to Verizon then unless T Mobile gets somethin done with the quickness about their service coverage.
you can have an invite sent to you by someone who has it, or you can request an invite off the google voice page it's self, it just takes about a week to get the invite if you request thru GV site... id HIGHLY reccomend getting one, all kinds of cool stuff can be done, including (but not limited too) Cheap international rates (.02 per min to landlines almost anywhere), totally unlimited calling over SIP (this ones pretty tricky to setup), visual and transcribed voice mails, caller screening, call routing (inbound).
if WiFi is available where your having signal issues then a SIP solution through GV, a SIP provider, SIPSorcery, and PBXes.org could give you access to phone calls (inbound and outbound, to/from you GV number)
its a rough setup (took me several tries, a couple days, and a couple shots to finally get right, and im nowhere near a novice) but if thats what would solve your problem grab a copy of SIPDroid (off the google code page, not the market), a GV invite, a PBXes account, a SIPSorcery account (all of the preceding are free services). A SIP provider will also be nessicary (some are free and some arent, i use SIPGate, which is free the way i use it/ have it set up).
look around on google for some tutorials (id link to one, but none were complete, or were old, i had to piece the info together from several tutorials, the SIPDroid page, PBXes help pages, and some common sense)
I'll look into it
worst case it'll allow you to still use your G1 for calls on Wifi over SIP after you change service providers (and phones) if you dont grab another android (or even if you do for that matter, with the proper setup ofcourse)...

sorry, but the Galaxy S6 + TMobile = Death

i have had nothing but bad luck with my brand new s6 on tmobile.
the main issue:
outgoing sms messages take at least 45 seconds to either get marked as send, or fail. when the fail, they are actually being sent. when they send, they send twice. 30% of the texts i send from my phone and to my phone do not make it to their destination at all.
fixes i have tried:
disabling volte, disabling wifi calling, switching back to stock messaging, factory resetting
tmobile support swore that a new sim card would fix the issue. it did not.
then support guaranteed me that a factory reset would fix the issue. against my better judgment, i reset the device. naturally, this made it worse; when i turn my phone on now i have zero bars of service for at least 5 minutes. literally no service. i am in nyc and normally have 5 bars of LTE.
nobody will recognize that this is actually a problem with tmobile, yet when i google "tmobile can't text over wifi" i get pages and pages of people with the exact same issue over years. reading through those threads there is no solution because tmobile support closes every one of them after 36 hours of inactivity, assuming the problem has been solved. what the **** kind of customer support is this?
texting is my primary form of communication and i am unable to use it. this is unacceptable behavior for any phone, let alone a brand new $700 super-hyped phone. i was on verizon for ten years and it never lost a single text. it's worth noting that there were similar issues with my last phone, an s4.
is nobody else having these issues?

I have the S6 on T-Mobile. I can text just fine using the stock app. Both SMS and MMS. Play with your APN settings, OR, use textra SMS. There is an option under MMS specifically for sending MMS while using wifi on T-Mobile.

When i left Verizon a few years ago for t-mobile, i had had plenty of texts not making it to their destination, so trust me, verizon is not perfect. (they should be though with the amount that they charge)
Try using IP v6 in your settings...
Then try IP v4 in your settings
Then try IP v4 / v6 in your settings and see if that helps with
Native texting App text to yourself to test.
Restart each change of APN.

Use to happen to me at least once a month on Verizon. T-Mobile hasn't lost one text for me yet. I keep asking myself why I stayed with big red for so long.
Reflash the original firmware - wipe everything start over. My GS6 works fine for me

IPv6 is what newer phones are coming preset with as opposed to IPv4 since that is what is correct going forward, per T-Mobile.

still waiting on my replacement device, but here's an interesting thing i realized today: this problem only occurs in my apartment. BUT i am not connected to wifi (it's turned off and i told android to forget my home network), and i'm on a 9th floor apartment with no other buildings around me. i've never had reception issues in the past here...this doesn't make sense to me at all
I'm using a T-mobile S6 since April 10th. I use Textra also over WiFi with 0 issues. All sms and mms come and go without issue.

Same, guess we're fortunate lol. I haven't seen or heard any text related issue specific to the S6, I know MMS is sometimes wonky with T-Mobile while connected to WiFi
