Hi all,
I have HTC touch viva (opal) that came with Opera mobile 9.5 pre-installed. The "Saved Pages" directory is in the main memory of viva. I need to change the location of that directory so that i have my pages saved on my Storage Card. Thanks in anticipation.

on diamond is installed opera we know and in tf3dthe default browser is opera.
now i've downloaded opera 9.51beta. it works well but in tf3d the old browser still remain. is there a possibility to substitute or delete old opera v.1184 with the new one?
sorry for my question in "orrible english".
Actually i've been wondering the same thing, will Opera on diamond ever get an update because i know some rendering problems exist in 9.5 op diamond, that are fixed in the new beta.
Same goes for google maps, will it ever get updated?
sorry no way?
there's no way to do that possible? make new opera beta default in tf3d?

The problem lies in the fact that the default opera is installed in the windows folder, and thenew one from the opera site in program files.
what you need to do is copy all the files from the folder "opera 9.5" in program files to the windows folder, overwrite the old files and you,,re ready.

Friends,
Just installed Opera Opal Manilla 2D from the previous version. I was wondering where do the bookmarks get placed? I checked in the \windows manila folder and didn't see the links. What file are these added too?
I like to back them up for future reference.
Please advise and Thank You,
Tvos
anyone?

depends on your version of opera. the file is opera6.adr, it'll either be in app data or windows\opera. it's the same file that real opera uses, do you can even copy and paste from your desktop.
thanx sir..
i build my ppc with settings, configs, apps and then create a spb backup for future restores.. normally, not a big deal but been doing a lot of testing out different roms, apps, builds and like to know what the source of this file is.
i found it and backed it up!
also, i use mymobile for copy/paste...

Hey guys my Device Storage memory is 88 mb and out of that free is just 15 mb.
I installed only
1) Slide to anwer dialer
2) S2U2
3) .Net Framework
on my device memory rest is all on internal storage.
I have come to know that opera uses around 8-10 mb of storage space. So i want to uninstall it.
But its not there in add and remove programs.
please let me know how to remove Opera.
Also let me know if any other software to be removed to free up the space. Like voice commander (this is also not there in add and remove programs)

Vishal
Remove Opera?
If it doesn't show up in 'Remove Programs', it's installed in the ROM which means you can't remove it. The best thing to do if you want loads of storage is to install a 'lite' ROM. That way you can install only the apps you use
i have the original rom from the htc page! give it no solution to deinstall the opera browser, if is no opera browser entry in the program list to shown?
in the windows folder on the integrated storage not found an opera folder, also.
plz help me..
sorry for my bad english.. i hope every guys understand my problem..
you can't remove opera
opera is put in the core os which is placed in a
place where users can't access the storage
so even if one makes a rom without opera
it don't free up storage for users access
it's impossible to remove opera unless you cook your own rom from scratch
if you don't like opera don't use it
and
set the browser you like as std browser
then opera will not bother you as even if you could delete it
it would not give you more storage mem
hi folks
my current issue is slightly different
i've installed opera mini 5 which is great for my needs, however i have various RSS feeds going and if i click on links they will open in opera 4, not 5.
how do i therefore set opera mini 5 to be the default browser?
plus if anyone knows how to get rid of the annoying opera 5 prompt which asks me if i'm happy about the fact that i may be charged for accessing the web, then i'd be very pleased to know it.
thanks in advance from scrumpypaul

Well I only saw that once since I installed the version with all certificates... Try installing the all certificates version and you'll get rid of all the promts
which version did you install?
i downloaded directly to my diamond and saw nothing about certificates.
hi all,
i hope someone can help me out here. recently i updated my TD2 to the WM6.5 that udK provided on this forum and so far i'm pretty happy with it!
there's just one little thing that i can't solve, before the update i had tomtom navigator 7 and pim backup installed, which i can't seem to add as a shortcut to my home screen (under the calendar).
pim backup is just an .exe that didn't need to be installed or anything and TT7's .exe is on my storage card as it always was.
so, who can tell me how i can add shortcuts on both?
thanks in advance!
copy a short cut of both programs to the folder windows/start menu/programs
rename both to originalfile name
now you will be able to select them as a short cut under the calendar on homescreen.
you will find them also in start programs
excellent Wilco, i could've thought of that myself but it hadn't crossed my mind .. cheers!
