Is there any guide to make big storage for the P3600 and 3600i? before this i got Magician and done the big storage, its really good for device that have little ram space.
IDEA
I did not find that option and it is a big problem
I'm sorry to ask. Now i'm understand what we call it big storage as trinity has 256MB rom then there is no need to make it big storage. thank you all.
Case closed.
ROM is flash. Trinity is short of RAM as some apps like iGO8 strugle to work
allso
itis offent that it signs a low memory mesage and stop worcking ok.
i putt everything on my memo card but still it seems that some app parts are installed on the phone memory

Ok so I have been looking for an answer for a little bit and have found very little so...
Is it better to load programs onto the phones memory or onto a SD card?
I would think it would take a lot more memory/power to pull files off of a SD card rather than from the device itself, but then you dont have a lot of memory on the phone?
pros and cons of each. THANKS
I put "device" programs (eg quick menu, oto etc) onto main memory and games, apps onto the sd card. That way I figure the apps which are in use alot will already be in memory and easier to open and the apps/games I don't always use can be pulled from storage card when I want to use them.
If you max out the Storage memory on your device, many programs won't be able to run (they still need room to store temp files, etc.), and you'll start getting warnings.
I've found the performance hit in using SD-base applications to be negligible...
You want as much room on your phone as possible. WM will run faster, and if you max out your phone memory, you'll notice a decrease in performance not to mention the low memory warnings you'll get.
The question is do you ever remove your microSD? If you do, you need to install the softwares that you use all the time into the phone memory. Otherwise, I found the performence different is very little between the 2 memory location.

It used to be true with WM2003, but I don't think it applies to WM6. The storage and running memory areas are now separated.
I will try to keep the device memory as free as possible, because the phone will run faster, so only system program will be installed on the device, also programs like pocket cm and worldmate uses more power to startup, so I also put them in the phone and not memory card, as this will create less errors.

I've had a scenario where the storage memory dropped to <5mb only. Coz of that I couldn't launch Youtube which required at least 8mb of memory.
I've tried stopping all running programs, using Memmaid and soft-resetting but to no avail. The memory remained at <5mb.
I only got back my storage memory to its optimum level on doing a hard reset. Is there a way I can regain storage memory without doing a hard reset?
I have the same problem. Have you been able to fix it without a hard reset? Tnx.
I had this problem yesterday, Lost about 12meg but i can't find where.
maybe opera stores its cache in the storage? but if it does i cant find where.

Try to run Advanced Config and change the storage folder for cache, downloads, temp files etc to internal memory. it may work. But my guess is that the storage memory is low to begin with. You run/install a couple of programs and it's in red.
My own solution is to flash to a "modified" ROM which gets rid of unnecessary pre-installed programs to free up space. Works wonders. Now I am not in red after installing like 20 programs on my diamond and believe me, it's MUCH faster. There is whole ROM section for diamond in xda-developers for you guys to play around. Read carefully and thoroughly before you try. It's not like adding a new software but you wipe out the ROM (Read only memory) and HTC will tell you that the warranty is void if you do that.
thanks for the info
im running TLR3 at the moment and generally happy with the amount of memory it left me, i was just a little supprised at having 12 mg dissapear on me.
i followed your advice about moving the caches to the internal storage, hope this will prevent the situation recoccuring.
thanks
Can anyone tell me why i am losing Program Memory whenever i burn a new ROM?
I started off with 110MB of Program memory and now ive got 85MB of Memory after installing.
Anyway of getting the memory?
could it be that different roms utilise different amounts of ram they need to use

If you're loosing memory then you should think of taking some Ginko.
Ok, for some reason my ROM thinks its an awesome idea to store crap(Apps data) on my external sd card while having 2GB of dedicated internal storage left untouched. I dont quite get why people love this App2SD bulls*** but I loathe it. Apps performance suffers because external sd cards are never quite as fast as system ones, and a whole load of reasons more.
I like to format my external SD quite a lot and find that 30-40 of my apps are now useless, and I have to reinstall them. How do i stop this from happening? I dont want my system to install ANY app on my SD card, EVER. And if it must, let it be the internal one, not the external. I'm on 2.3.4 Thanks in advance.
I'm also interested in this. Dunno why it can't be switched off especially with the huge amount of free storage on the SGS....
I would really like the answer to this, since I have yet to find a fix. Please anyone, this is a very annoying issue! And it should be simple to tweak, since its just a command probably.
When i restart my ace, i always got same issue Error DF XX. I don't know what is it? When i make photo my phone tell me : your SD card is full.
I have space on it, i have ext partition and have space on ext and fat partition, but my internal space have 0,00 MB.
Is this thing connected?

Two things. I googled the error, and it seems its an error with iOS devices
Second, it seems like a problem with paid app(s) that you may have.
yes i see in iOS but i have android
For now i found solution for Camera, i buy bigger SD card and for now all works fine!
Tnx mate! It's anoying, this isnt hard to push ok or cancel, just i wondering if have some influence to rom (speed, stabilty...)

And no, AFAIK, it wont cause any performance effects
