I have spent the better part of 3 days trying to find a way to change the color of the FONT on the start menu in TF3D...
I cannot find it anywhere...
Here is an example...
Without TF3D I can read my menu ok.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
With TF3D its VERY HARD.
What manila files control the font color on the start menu???
Or better yet, does anyone have a list of what manilia files (the mode9 ones) do what?
Do you have a theme installed?
yes. i have the star wars dark side theme installed.
i love the theme, but i want to change the font color on the start menu.
it is not a .theme installed with tf3d config, its just manila files copied over to my windows folder.
I have now downloaded a lot of theme editing apps and i want to start making my own as well...
task manager - hkey current user/software/htc/taskmanager
change ManilaCustomText to 00ffffff (dword value)
start menu - hkey local machine/software/htc/enlargemenu
change ManilaCustomText to 00ffffff (dword value)
these values changes the text to white while manila is running
after you make the changes soft reset your device

where can i find this windows slide to unlock
i just saw that somewhere else..... give me a few to find it and i will post the link asap......
edit --here is the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308361
that's not it, the guy told me that its a windows slide to unlock and allows you to choose from various windowd backgrounds like the vista grass etc with the slide to unlock and come pre programs with the correct time and the pm and am as default instead of doing all that registerie stuff.
well sorry i was no help, but this one is actually very good, just install and go... i use military time at work so its not an issue for me at all.
again i apologize that my help offered wasnt the help you truly seeked, but in all honesty, if u know how to use active sync or file explorer, just find an image u like of the proper size, change the file name to wallpaper.bmp and wallpaperL.bmp, and save them to 'Program Files\Slide2Unlock\GFX\Res\', overwriting the images currently there.
thanks for trying to help man. ill just keep on searching
this is the latest version from the freeware site i use
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-slide-2-unlock-v1-14.html
theres loads more stuff on there to, hope this helps,
hey all. do you know if i could install slide2unlock and or icontact with via storagecard? whats a recomended version of each app
caller id function
You can use the iPhone style caller id with the slide2unlock as well. I'm using the 1.19 version.
Using your favorite registry editor...
go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\Slide2Unlock
Change the callerID key to 1 to turn it on.
Create a new String Value called IncomingText and set its value to the text you see at the top of the call notification. Mine is Incoming - Phone, but yours may be different.
Restart iLock and you should be good to go
you can also enable the weather update, messaging, and calendar function on the lock screen from the registry editor. Just set them to a 1 value to turn them on

is there a way you can put that in a cab
Hi foks,
I was playing around with the registery and I found a way to change the HTC Home tabs.
In some cases you could go to Start-Settings-Today and edit the HTC Home tabs it there.
But my TyTN II did not have that functions (Al tho it had it before a hard-reset recently ).
The Tweak:
Go to: HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome\TabSetting (If you don't have the string TabSetting, Create a new String and name it to "TabSetting" and give it the values you want.)
There you will see the value: 1,2,3,4,6 (Each of these is a tab.)
1 = Home (Time + Date)
2 = Contact shortcuts.
3 = Weather
4 = Program shortcuts.
5 = Music schortcut. (Originaly it's hidden with this tweak you can active it.)
6 = Profile Manager.
The only thing you have to do is changing the values in TabSetting.
You can add or delete the tabs when you have no use of it.
Mine is now: 1,3,4,5,2,6 (But i'm thinking to remove 6 cause I never use it.)

Uhmmm why not using Kaiser Tweak or HTC Home Customiser??
I got a bug using these applications. My TyTN II font changed without me changing it. The only way to fix it was a HARD-Reset. So I don't wanna do that again! I don't wanna take any risk!! (Topic about font change: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=339305 )
Yours Sincerely, Mohammad "Xmoo" M
or you could just use the HTC Home Customiser...

LOL. Pls tell me about your findouts which work on HTC home version 2.07 and under (e.g 1.5) then I rate it as "6 stars"
The simple things is you install version 2.08.xxxx, therefore, the changeable tabs func is a built-in feature.
Does anyone have a CAB to make WM5 have the glossy bars (top and bottom) like WM6?
Thanx.
not that i know off only way is to install wisbar or someother whole gui change program
So, the only "OS" way around it would be to move to a WM6 flavor?
Thanx.
Here it is, but it was super easy to find in a search.
Well, yes, I located that with the "super easy search" as well. However, it is not working on WM5.
Thanx.
Oh Okay. Did you put the uzipped .exe file in your Windows/startup folder, then soft reset?
What happens when you do that?
Yes.
I copied the "Glossy Black Bars.exe" to my "\Windows\Startup" folder.
Unfortunately, as you'll see by the screen shot below, I only have dark grey bars and without the "3-D" look of WM6.
Thanx.

The glossy look is a feature built in on WM6, it has nothing to do with .tsk theme files.
You can get here a program that emulates it, but it only works right if you have cleartype disabled...
http://mobile-comm.blogspot.com/2007/11/change-wm5-bar-to-wm6-glossy-bar.html
Cool...I'll try it and let ya know.
Thanx.
Well, we're definitely 50% closer with this one. It is only working on the top bar though.
Thanx.
Here is a file if just want to remove your contacts bar. Just put the .exe file in your Windows/startup folder.

Hi All,
I read on the forums that to change the wallpaper in touch flo (not windows) you have to go to Settings->FTouchFlo->Wallpaper.
In my FTouchFlo settings i only have 2 tabs, TouchFLO and about.
TouchFlo has 3 checkboxes. Am i missing the touchflo cofig editor or something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
You should definately be able to change the wallpaper in the settings config, what version of TouchFlo do you have? It would seem you have an older version which is why it isn't included :S
just use the slider at the bottom of the screen.
goto settings tab and click wallpaper on there.
i have v3.0. what version should i have and where could i get it from?
ah - do i need to update my ROM to 1.93?
whether you have 1.37 or 1.93 rom, there's no difference.
to change the wallpaper (background picture) in the touchflo3d you go in the tf3d to the settings tab and there is a wallpaper setting. however, it only sets the wallpaper on the first "home" tab of the tf3d. so far, there's no easy way to change the wallpaper on the rest of the tabs other than to load a new tf3d theme or modify yours with manila editor.
ok.
but i go to settings->system tab->TouchFlo->and i only have 2 tabs. Nothing at all relating to wallpaper on either. Am i looking at the wrong settings?

no no, you need to slide to the settings tab/screen in the touchflo3d, like here (sorry for the image quality):

right, right
I have Manilla2D on a Shifu 4.2 ROM.
Even using M2DC, I'm not able to:
- Remove "Touch here to update Weather" text just under digital clock in home tab (consider that this text reduces useful heigth for calendar)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- Remove app name under each Icon in Launcher tab (with the name displayed, the 3x3 icon area goes under the slider, so the bottom 3 icons are partially visible.
So, does it exist a XML file, or a Registry area, to work on to deeply configure Manilla?
Furthermore (less important), I'm not able to apply any skin...
Thanks

Hi there
Check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4220621&postcount=2 for compatable themes - the old .m2dc files wont work correctly.
The layout xml can be found in the windows folder and edited HTCHomeSettings.xml (images would have to be resized though) here is helpful thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427531
The program names under the launcher tab is annoying - you have to manually edit them under HKLM\software\HTC\manila2D\Launcher\1\Dispname/ Using Total Commander I have to replace the text with a space - just deleting it and leaving a null field doesn't work.... (you need to soft reset after)
You have to do this in folder 1,2,3..... for all the programs - I'm sure someone will knock you up a simple cab if you ask nicely - I really should learn how to do it............
Hope that helps.
Good luck!

Great.
Everything works properly...
I already tried to delete dispname in launcher registry settings, but, as you told, it didn't work. Now I put a space, and it's fine.
I'm also trying to find HTCHomeSettings.xml file, I haven't found it yet, but I trust in me...
Thanks again
