i downloaded llbasha-WM5-AKU35pp16c3 rom
i want extract os.nb file from nk.nbf with typho5 utility (typhoonbftool_v5),i got this error:
unknow header format, and it abort work.
other way:
i want extract os.nb file from nk.nba with prepare_imgfs, and i got this error:
searching for IMGFS start.......Not found!!!
anybody know if it can extract some file from a rom already cooked ???

i have a few questions, i hope it's not too newbie..
1. I have succeeded to extract the .nbh file into .nb file,
than i have (i think) extracted the .nb into .bin file with aWaiter.exe.
2. so now i have .bin file & .nb file,
how can i extract the .bin file into raw file? or some other extension.
3. my goal is to extract all the .nbh file into files so i can edit and than compile back.
Please help.

To extract the .nbh into .nb you need to use NBHextract.exe
ex. NBHextract ROM.NBH ROM.NB

i managed to do the conversion, and using aChef and aWaiter I also managed to dump out to imgfs_raw_data.bin, however I failed on extracting the content of imgfs_raw_data.bin, by either using viewimgfs or fdmsflsh.pl script.
if you are able to extract them out, kindly let me know what's wrong with my step. thanks.

Hi vibranze,
To extract the .bin file you will need the 'ImgfsToDump.exe'
You can find all these tool at:
http://content.modaco.net/ROM/ImgfsTools2rc2b.zip
ex. c:\htcrom\ImgfsToDump.exe imgfs_raw_data.bin
That will extract all files from the binary file.

I'm trying to execute the pp patcher of XipporterEx. Therefore I need a OS.NB.payload.
Unfortunately I couldn't find what exactly the OS.NB.payload is or how to create it. I have realized that by extracting the rom (with the kitchen) a file called OS.nb.payload can be find within the temp folder. I can successfully patch this file with XipporterEx.
Unfortunately I don't know how I can create a nbh file out of this patched payload file, so I can flash it on my device?
Any suggestions?

I found a (stupid) solution: I have edited the batch, so before the batch is using the payload it waits for an input. In this time I am replacing the payload and afterwards pressing any key.
Not a fine solution, but it works .
I adopt this method.
Patch your os.nb.payload then use imgfstool in this way.
Keep your OS.NB file you have into ROM folder from your kitchen, and with imgfstool type these command:

nbsplit -kaiser os.nb
Now you have os.nb.payload and os.nb.extra.
Keep your patched os.nb.payload, rename it to os-new.nb.payload and put it into imgfstool folder.
Now type this command:
Code:
nbmerge -kaiser os-new.nb
You'll obtain os-new.nb, rename to OS.NB and put it into ROM folder in your kitchen. In this way your kitchen will use the patched os.nb.payload as template for all your new builded roms.
