I've looked all over the forums for a way of re-arranging the people / favorites order. Is there any way anyone knows of modifying the page (...and not modifying the contact with "1_myfriendperson") so they come up in an order that's more useful rather than alphabetical order?
Thanks!
I agree, would be nice to be able to rearrange without numbers and z's

is there some sort of guide or anything that will help me out with changing my homescreen to a custom style that I want? I see everyone have all these cool hhomescreens with "tabs". for example an entertainment tab, weather tab, etc
I strongly advise you to do sit down with your manual and your phone. Grab a beer and go through the whole manual. Trust me, you will learn a LOT. Then come back here and go through the Post Your Today Screen thread. Most everyone who has posted has explained what programs to use to achieve the desired home screen.
If your question isn't answered, use the SEARCH function. Browse the forums. You will find much more by searching and reading than by asking pointless questions.

I'm sure there are guides, but basically you need to go to the Start/Settings/Personal/Today/Items area to enable/disable the today plug-ins and to change their order. As for all the screens that you are seeing posted on here they are typically a collaboration of many today plug-ins. For me, I use a Resco plug-in to show my battery level, and have quick access to numerous programs. Then I have PhoneWeaver for my profiles. Below that is PocketBreeze for calendar, tasks, notes, contacts, messages (all in tabs). And my last plug in is Weather To Go for my weather. Oh and I'm also trying out SPB Pocket Plus which is the battery bar at the very top (above start, time, etc.).
Hope this helps.
Hi!
I'm trying to improve the design of the items of a ListBox that I have added in a Form.
I have been searching and all I have discover about modifing the design of an item of a ListBox is to override the method ToString of the element, but this always returns a string. So if I insert a Panel, a TextBox or any other component, it will only shows a string with the name of the component.
Can anyone tell me how I can do this?
Even, if anyone could post some code of an example, or a link of an example with code, it would be great.
Any help will be really apreciated.
Arrrr, ye might want to pose this question in a more diverse crowd. It's not seeming to be Kasier specific,.,, arrrrr

Completely agree with this! But before this thread is moved I understand you are trying to improve the design of the ListBoxItem. What is it that you want to do with it? Add a picture, description, make it expandable... etc? If we had more of an idea of what you want to do in the UI we could help more. And I don't want to assume anything so what Language/IDE are you coding in?
help designing items in list box
Hi again!!!
Thank you for answering so fast.
I'm using visual studio .net with c#.
About the design, I would like to know how to add pictures, panels, etc.
I mean how do you show anything in a list item, that is not a string.
Thank you in advance
I haven't seen this mentioned yet, and was wondering if it was possible to raise the number... I wouldn't mind having like 30 or 40 people in there instead of going through the entire list.
This has been asked before. Try to use the search function.
Hail the Mighty Lords of XDA!
I have heard that XDA forums are the great fount of wisdom when it comes to mobiles/smart phones, tablets and the like, and have come as a novice seeking guidance from the masters. I beseech you to have patience with my (currently) limited knowledge and in return, I will do my best to learn as quickly as I can.
I know very little at this point (though I have found the Glossary and Terminology pages at the Wiki) but I don't mind doing my own reading and stuff if y'all can point me in the right direction. A big part of it right now is just that I don't know who or what is trustworthy, except that you guys have an excellent reputation
I recently got a Dell Streak 7 WiFi only from Amazon.com (no T-Mobile connections or apps.) I'm really loving it, but there are a few things that I would love to be able to change if I can figure out how. Here are the ones I'm most interested in at the moment:
REMOVING PRE-INSTALLED APPS: There are several apps that came with the device that I have no desire to use and would like to remove. I understand that this will involve "rooting" the device, but the instructions I've found on how to do that are confusing and I've seen references to apps that are supposed to do it in one-click, but the reviews have been mixed and its hard to tell if the instructions or apps are for the Streak 5 or Streak 7
SETTING DEFAULT PROGRAMS: My Streak came with 2 email programs (a "generic" one and Gmail) as well as a generic browser. On the home page at the bottom of the screen is a widget that has an email icon, the thingy you touch to get to all the apps on your device and a browser icon. Is there any way to assign a specific e-mail client and specific browser to those buttons?
ASSIGN ICONS TO FOLDERS: When I make a custom folder, is there a way to assign an icon to it as a visual way of identifying it?
GET T-MOBILE'S QIK VIDEO CHAT: While my Streak isn't connected to T-Mobile, they are the company we use for our cellphones. I like the Qik video client T-Mobile installed on our MyTouch4G phones and would like to be able to use it on my Streak as well (so I don't have to maintain separate video chat friends lists and make sure everyone has the right software.
If you've actually made it this far, first off, THANK YOU for your patience I'm sorry it's so long, but I just wanted to get it all out there to start with.
Any other suggestions are more than welcome, as well as links to any other references.
Thanks!

Hi all,
So at work we have a walkie talkie radio system that people use. Sometimes people have it turned down or off when someone is calling them.
I usually send them a text telling them they are being called on the radio.
So can a task be made with a widget that when I select it, then it will first it give me a dropdown list of people on my contact list. After I choose a person have another drop down list. When I select those two people, tasker would send a text to the contact from my first dropdown box saying "(second name) is trying to call you on the radio!"
I hope I made myself clear.
Thanks in advance.
Look into AutoContacts plugin for Tasker. It will help you. In addition, Tasker has a "Send SMS" action and supports variables.
I don't think you'll find anyone who will just have this sort of thing already made and ready to go for you. You'll likely need to create this from scratch and push through the bugs as you test it. Think it through on pen and paper if you are having difficulties.
People are here on forums to help out with specific functions of Tasker... Most people don't fill whole profile/task requests here.
Thank you for the reply! I'll look into AutoContacts and give it a shot.

As an added request, I'll narrow it down. Does tasker allow for input to be selected from a list?

Perhaps a scene would be best used for this if it is a small set of static individuals to choose from. Snackbar plugin or Material Design Plugin can be used in the place of scenes many times.
