BofA Mobile Banking crashing - G1 Apps and Games

So, I updated the mobile banking to 2.0 and it force closes every single time. Then I read that everyone was uninstalling then reinstalling and it worked. Problem is I can't find the 1.0 apk to reinstall then uninstall. Uninstalling and reinstalling 2.0 doesn't help at all. I've done it at least 10 times. Any suggestions?

This happened to me last night, but I simply uninstalled the new 2.0 and reinstalled it and it worked fine. Maybe reboot?

This is what I had to do....
First, uninstall the program
Second, into terminal emulator and type in: rm -R /data/data/com.infonow.bofa
Third, reboot and reinstall
And Voila!

Play store error code: 0, certain apps refuse to install

I recently acquired a 2013 Moto X 1058 (AT&T Variant) and I've unlocked the bootloader with Sunshine, I've flashed Lineage OS 13 and Open Gapps but certain apps (facebook, snapchat, facebook messenger, google chrome) among apps will not download, instead immedietly throw the error "cannot install Facebook, try again later if the problem persists get troubleshooting help error code:0" and it does it for most apps. Few apps install, like Firefox, Kik, Android Messages but I cannot get this fixed, I've tried multiple gapps, redownloaded gapps, flashed different roms and i can't get it working.
EDIT: the unofficial TWRP 3 is poorly built and doesnt set permissions correctly, I had to use the terminal and do this
chown -R media_rw:media_rw /data/media/
find /data/media/ -type d -exec chmod 775 {} ';'
find /data/media/ -type f -exec chmod 664 {} ';'
Just download it from TWRP themselves.
go seting -->goole play store --> give all permission
I was not able to put in those commands into terminator emulator, kept saying access denied. Any ideas on how to get access or whatever?
I am suffering the same exact problem. I've tried clearing app cache, removing account, wiping cache in TWRP and so on. Nothing is working. I'm not even able to restore the apps via TiBu. Unfortunately it doesn't appear many ppl suffer from error code: 0

hi, after trying your method, I still cant DL using playstore, tried via adb and twrp terminal
I have error code 0 too
I have a Huawei MediaPad 7 youth and some days ago I noticed Google Play Store was uninstalled. I have my tablet rooted, and prior to this everything was fine. I reinstalled Google Play via an APK file on Lucky Patcher's official page (there's the modded Play Store and the original Play Store APKs, I installed the original cause the modded one couldn't install), and I tried to use Lucky Patcher to make it a system app again, but it said it couldn't cause there was few space on /system/app (I have no idea where this folder is, I looked everywhere with my native Android file manager but I can't find it) and told me to free some space on there. So I decided to let Google Play as an user app, but be careful not to uninstall again. Today I opened Play Store for first time since reinstallation, and tried to install two different VPNs, but they both gave me error code 0. Please help me!
It worked on my HTC One M7 Sense 7 Viper 9.0.0 ROM after getting code 0 for multiple apps! Never had this issue before.
Thank you, OP.
I repeat, OP is not telling you to put in random Linux commands. This method actually works! (for me)

You can install terminal apps and from there give root access and execute above cmd.
Yalp Store FTW
Having the same issue I found, downloaded and installed Yalp Store From F-Droid. It finally let me donwload and install/update apps without needing to access play store directly.
I know some might've solved their issues already, but for those who are on CM/LineageOS and need to gain root access, remember that you can enable root in the developer settings... For Lineage 14.1 I'd google, as there are a few steps before that I think.
Hope it helps someone
Can any one help me with bootloader unlocking
I broke my head over this, but it worked!! Thanks!

I'm getting the same error.. Ive tried flashing other versions of TWRP and Roms. No clean flash will correct it. What is the deal with this?
Me too. By the way, what's "OP"? where is it?

I do "Set permissions with Android Debug Bridge". And everything 's ok now.

[Q] Had Trouble installing BusyBox -- Google and HTC services started crashing

Phone: HTC One M8 HK modelid: 0P6B70000, cidnum: SPCS_004; S-ON; Bootloader 3.19; Rooted; TWRP 3.2
ROM: Stock, updated 6.20.654.3
I wanted to utilize Titanium Backup but I discovered that I need to have BusyBox installed. I have TWRP and root. So I went to install BusyBox and ran into all kinds of problems.
First, there are several busybox installer apps out there. I tried a few and although the app would install, the install busybox function wouldn't work. I'd click "install" and then it would sit there doing nothing. In a few moments, a cascade of Google and HTC service apps would start to crash. A real mess. I would reboot and try again... same thing. Cleared cache of Google and HTC services... no difference.
During the process and chaos of notification messages popping up about this service or that service stopping, I caught notice of a SuperSU receiving a request to grant permissions from BusyBox. But by the time I could get access to grant it (clearing away other notifications), the busybox installation would have already aborted.
Older posts about this problem claimed "busybox on rails" would fix this. I tried and it didn't. I then tried the Stericson busybox. Same service crashes started happening once again. So the problem appeared to be some peculiar delay, where the SU request from an app is not getting to SuperSU in time for being granted permission. With Stericson busybox, I was able to finally grant access in SuperSU, although it had aborted. With the grant already done, restarting the Stericson busybox install allowed it to proceed to the next step of getting the Smart Installer loaded. During that process, I kept having to clear away notifications of services and apps crashing. That kept continuing as busybox actually installed. So I kept closing notifications until busybox finished installing. The Root# app verified busybox is installed correctly. The service crashes stopped. Opening the busybox installer app works fine now.
I eventually discovered the install issue... the SuperSU app has a "tapjacking" feature, whereby an su permission request dialog won't respond to input while obscured by other window/overlay. I found that Titanium Backup Pro wouldn't recognize busybox being installed, as SuperSU hadn't received any request from Titanium. I'm guessing that this caused a clash at a fundamental level, to cause services to crash? I unchecked the tapjacking option and finally I could grant Titanium Backup su permission. And now I'm able to use TBP (Titanium Backup Pro). However... it's not working quite right. When I attempt to backup user apps, some will be backed up but others are extremely slow or fail. Busybox Free 55 (Stericson) causes TBP to completely crash. OK, so I went to skip backing up that app. I then started to do one app at a time. Some apps would backup quickly, while others take an extraordinarily long period of time. Cardboard 1.8 was extremely, painfully slow (which is 456Mb). I hadn't used that app in a long while, so I just deleted it. But then when attempting to backup Excel (220mb), TBP stalled on that app... eventually completed it. Backup just seems very slow. But I can live with that as long as backups have integrity.
So I'm feeling like something might not be quite right with my system. Everything generally seems to be fine. With tapjacking disabled, SuperSU is fielding requests without services crashing. The only really bizarre thing is that TBP is simply unable to backup busybox. Anytime I try to do it, TBP crashes. Very strange. Do I need to stop and disable it first?

Magisk Manager Has Stopped. (Crashing on open)

Magisk Manager keeps stopping. I opened it today and I got the message "Magisk Manager has stopped, open app again" I can't open it without it crashing. I've tried clearing cache, clearing data, reinstalling the APK. What do I do? This is a very big problem as i cannot run any rooted apps without getting the message that magisk has stopped.
Logcat (use ADB)?
Have you tried uninstalling Magisk and then reinstalling?

When you say you've uninstalled and reinstalled, are you talking about Magisk or the Magisk Manager? I'm talking about completely uninstalling Magisk by using the uninstall zip.
And what about that logcat?
I've got a similar problem. Mgisk Manager keeps crashing, but If I'm not connected to the internet the APP runs fine,

Likely caused by a bug with checking the Magisk repo. It's been fixed but not yet released.
Clear Repo Cache
Disconnect from internet, go to settings and clear the repo cache helped me to open it again

I am facing the same issue. Magisk Manager crashes as soon as I open it (precisely within 3-5 sec of opening the app). Though the root is working perfectly and all apps requiring root behave as intended.
I am attaching a magisk log taken from the magisk manager within the 3-5 seconds window.
Kindly let me know if it's the correct log. I am a noob and still learning the intricacies.
Any help/guidance will be greatly appreciated
Magisk Manager works for me when I wait for a few seconds after opening the app. Cool Tool shows high CPU activity right after starting MM. Once the CPU idles again, MM works without crashing.
This is not a fix, but it may help until a new version gets released.

Great! Thanks a lot.
For those of you that remain stuck on this issue: Magisk Manger doesn't like being used from an external SD card. If that is the case (see app menu) move it back to internal memory. It will work properly then.

Nexus 6, 7.1.1, Magisk root - Google play and Magisk Crashing
Making a long story as sort as I can my Nexus 6 running Magisk to hide the root from Google play, and a stock 7.1.1 ( 7.1.1 (N6F27M, Oct 2017 if it matters) google image, was working flawlessly a couple years ago when I stopped using it.
A few weeks ago I turned it on, clicked Google play and it never opens. Just hangs on the app loading screen unless I disconnect the internet from it. I read somewhere that this may be an issue from something that Google implemented since then In there play services to detect root.
Connected to the internet (WiFi) I opened Magisk and was able to update the Manager app before it quickly crashed. I opened it again and there seems to be a Magisk update but app crashes too fast for me to click update.
What is going on here and/or how do I fix this?

Question Okay, I'm stupid...

So, I was going through and removing bloat from my phone and was trying to remove the Samsung Contacts app through `adb`, but apparently I removed the wrong thing and now the Phone, Messages, and Contacts app are crashing every time I try to open them. I removed "package:/system/priv-app/SamsungContactsProvider/SamsungContactsProvider.apk=com.samsung.android.providers.contacts" which is apparently a core service. I'm wondering if anyone might know how I could reinstall that APK?
install this apk should solve the problem
If worse comes to worse a factory reset will.
A lot of the bloatware is useful. I prefer to use a package disabler as I can easily toggle them on or off as needed real time.

It sat for a minute trying to install and then came up with, "App not installed" and says that every time I retry.
Trying install via adb I get: "
Performing Streamed Install
adb: failed to install /home/mhicks/Downloads/SamsungContactsProvider.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DUPLICATE_PERMISSION: Package com.samsung.android.providers.contacts attempting to redeclare permission android.permission.SEND_CALL_LOG_CHANGE already owned by com.android.providers.contacts]"
Hmmm, perhaps I should remove Google Contacts first...
Okay, that helped, but now I'm getting: "
Performing Streamed Install
adb: failed to install /home/mhicks/Downloads/SamsungContactsProvider.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_VERSION_DOWNGRADE]"
I thought deleting the "com.samsung.android.providers.contacts" might solve the problem, but trying gave me: "
./adb -d uninstall com.samsung.android.providers.contacts
Failure [DELETE_FAILED_INTERNAL_ERROR]"

try these commands on pc
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.providers.contacts
adb shell pm install -r --user 0 /system/priv-app/SamsungContactsProvider/SamsungContactsProvider.apk
The first command returns: "Package com.samsung.android.providers.contacts installed for user: 0", but the second command returns: "Failure [-3001: INSTALL_FAILED_REJECTED_BY_BUILDTYPE]"
If you have deleted the apk with root you just have to paste it again in the folder /system/priv-app/SamsungContactsProvider

It is somewhat complicated to recover the device without wipe in the past I had these problems, it was solved with a higher version of the application
@rtd4, I suppose it's time for a wipe... Thanks for trying to help me.
If you had made a copy of all your apps including system apks with ApkExport you could now use that copy to restore it.
Now before you factory reset make a copy of your installed apps and any system updates then save it on the PC or SD card. After the reload you won't need Playstore. It speeds things up a lot...
APK Export (Backup & Share) - Apps on Google Play
Manage and extract your apps.

You're welcome.
You really don't need to root.
Consider the possible consequences carefully.
Package Disabler will easily block apks you don't want running.
Well, it would appear it's moot anyway since I'm at Baseband v4 and only v1 can be rooted apparently...

This is the one I use:
Home - Package Disabler
The only NON-root solution that let’s you disable any unwanted packages that come pre-installed / installed with your phone / tablet.
www.packagedisabler.com
It has an interactive widget that allows you to toggle selected entries on/off. It runs even in Safe mode so be careful what you disable. I've never had to do a factory reset because of it but the potential is there.
Unfortunately it no longer disables Google play Services but will disable all carrier bloatware including OTA updates.

In case you have used command like
pm disable packageName . Then try pm enable packageName
Or
If you have used
pm hide packageName then try

how to fix su datebase and uninstall app?

Due to my previous wrong operation, I cannot manage su now.
I tried to download Magisk uninstall.zip in git tonight, uninstall and then install, install and uninstall, Magisk app is always there (because it was installed by me as a system application).
I have tried adb uninstall (adb uninstall com.topjohnwu.magisk), but I cannot get root privileges.
I tried both of the two uninstall methods in the app, but they didn't work. Every time I restarted, it was still the same.
I cannot use magisk to authorize other applications, nor can I uninstall it from the system software.
In addition, after every restart, it will say that the `su database is damaged, the database will be rebuilt`, and then I restarted again, opening magisk is still the same prompt.
