I updated to wm5 last night and then i went to update the radio from 1.12 to 1.13 and came back to my phone and the phone has no power. Soft and Hard reset doesn't work and i have a blank screen.The only time there is a light on is when i put it on the cradle.There is a redish orange light under the power button.Is there anything i can do to fix this or is my phone a paper weight?If you can please HELPME!!!! You sure that you not in bootlader mode.....The screen is dark but has wording on it.
If so just rerun the upgrade
I'm using Helmi_c 's AKU3.5 v1.4 ,but I have a problem when putting my PDA2K "off" ,sometimes I couldnt put it "on" using the power button and I have to do soft reset to bring the device working again and of course during this period I miss many calls ...any idea ,any suggestions ??
my TyTN II can't co to sleep - when I press the POWER button it goes to sleep and after 3 seconds it wakes again

P.S. and it can not do a HARD RESET with the buttons

Looks like a software or a regedit is keeping it from doing so. Try resetting the device and see what happens.

I did a soft reset - nothing
I did a HARD RESET- nothing
I changed the rom - nothing , it still wakes up
This has nothing to do with ROM Dev. Moved to General
I don't have a clue what it is
Ok i have had this problem before. But it is when i put the phone in universal car cradle. It hits the camera button half way so when i put it to sleep, it wakes back up after about 3 seconds. Make sure none of the buttons are partially stuck.

are you running igo8 in the background? Turning the phone off while running an *ahem* type of Igo8 may cause certain on/off issues...

Sorry bout the late reply. I work during the day so i didnt see this till now.
What i would suggest is turn on the camera and goto the settings. Make sure it asks for full press. Then attempt to take a picture, by half pressing the camera button, as this will make it auto focus. If the little broken square in middle of screen doesnt show, then it has something to do with your problem.
My problem wasnt an actual problem but rather an observation that i thought could help.
Ive just done a couple tests on my phone and the camera button is the only thing that causes this issue. I hold it half way as to not activate the camera and then turn the phone off to sleep, but after precisely 3 seconds, it wakes back up
Hope this helps you find it. As for solving it, i don't know. Possibly a few harder presses of the camera button???? Please, though, dont take what i am saying as Gospel as it may be something totally unrelated

i tried the thing with the setting for the full and half press and nothing , it was the same - the camera shoots ONLY WITH A FULL PRESS !
The good news is I took it for a repair

more bad news - it turnd out that the camera button is realy stuck on auto focus but the realy bad thing is I CAN'T FIND A SPEAR CAMERA BUTTON

I have this exact problem...press power button--3 seconds later phone back on again. Have flashed 6 different ROM's and it has not removed this issue. It is not any of my software because this remains before I add any of my software after a flash.....as per OP i am unable to do a hard reset.
I have done many searches on the forums and continually come up with the 10 second backlight fix....this is not the same issue.
If some of the senior members could please help I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi all,
a few days ago i saw a strange behaviour of my X1
If i push the on/off button the X1 starts the phone app and sometimes even the caroussel function of MS3.
I didn't install new apps or change reg keys.
The system was running almost perfect in the last months
After a hardreset yesterday i reconfigured my X1 and it seemed well for the moment. I turned the device on and off several times and it showed normal behaviour.
A few hours later (X1 was not in use) i pushed the on/off button and the problem was back again...
IMO the X1 acts like someone pushes the left silver button and sometimes the green tel button.
Has anyone an explanation for this?
Ideas for solving?

one program I use on the X1 is called AE button Plus
it can remap all the hardware buttons on my X1, maybe you can try them and see if you can set the ON/OFF button from there, overriding your default action for a temp fix

i have a more or less small problem with my Diamond...
When i press the powerbutton to turn it into standby, the display becomes black, but the light of the display does not turn off.
So the batterie is empty after max. 3 h -.-
Has anyone an idea how to fix this? I already have flashed a stockrom over my D2X, but it doesn't help.
Is it a problem with the hard or software?
Oh, and the problem appears after a softreset, after winmo has crashed, but that may just be coincidence

Since you have already reflashed your rom I think you may be looking at a hadware problem, try hard reseting the phone, it's a long shot, if that doesn't work it's defenitly a hardware prob
