hi i bought my self a mda vario 3 of ebay a few days ago
(im a newbie to pda's infact its my first)
it was sim locked to t-mobile uk network. upon doing some research on how to unlock i found this

i used the software following the instructions and everything went well. the phone got unlocked but i seem to have lost sound on the vario? whenever i play a tone it just viabarates but before i unlocked it the same tones were playing fine.. ive even imported other audio files to test the sound but still get just viabration.. even tried a hard reset but still no luck with sound? only had the phone for a day and im faced with this major issue. can any of you geniuses help me solve this problem! most appreciated.

Download and flash with any WM6.1 ROM for Kaiser. I encountered the same problem and resolved in this way.
person above is wrong if you are looking for a custom ROM. Its the radio......where is msd with his cat?
oh and also I don't think that thread unlocks your device "forever". I don't remember completely but I thought after changing your radio to a working one your device became un-security unlocked. Everyone else....shhhhhh! don't tell him about the permanent one let him find it on his own. Not really but seriously do try to find it on your own first. My sig has a BIG search button in case its hard to tell

Everyone probbaly gets a million post asking for help with there mda
i hope you take this into consideration
anyways i was upgrading my mda, which i have done so many times before,
i always read the directions and was careful, never thinking i would brick my phone
too make the story short, i was upgrading my mda and i left it running and left the room
i got back a processor over heating message popped up
(i just built my computer in the fall and the fan was fine but today was 92F outside and that might have done it)
the processor got too hot and upgrade utullity froze
i though if i cooled down the computer it would unfreeze it but it didnt
so now the update didnt finish and i have this screen

I Should Have
After looking i havnt found anything but i found out that i could have backed up an old rom on my mini sd card just in case
This is the bootloader screen. Follow this tutorial:

You are in the bootloader, this is good. Your phone is not a brick. Just reflash a full (preferably a carrier rom) while on this screen and the USB letters are in the corner of the screen. Once your device boots again you can then flash back whatever compatible to your device rom you choose.

Im using WM6 and in the today screens i want to change the default one but i cant find the .tsk file anywhere in the files
i cant stand the background it has
is it embedded in something where i cant access it
if so is there a way to change it

Hello, ik bought a HTC tyn2 from someone in the netherlands, he said it was simlock free but when i got it it askes me a unlockcode, dont know if it is a simlock or cidlock. tried the internet and founf several treads but i think i am not smarted enough,
1é tried simunlockerV2 dind't worked
2é tried to hardspl but can't find jumpspl wich i need first......
3é payed 5euro's on a website for an unlock tool for PDA , but that keeps on putting points on the screen an nothing happens(+-30min).
i have contacted the seller and i can send it beck because with him it was unlocked, is it possible that ik workes in holland and not in belgium...
it don't know what to do next

Search this forum for what you need. Theres a search button up at the top, Search for Kaiser SIMUnlock and see what happens, if you can't find JumpSPL, I bet if you put it in the search box it will be in the first page of results.

Maybe the phone is asking for the owners security code and not the carrier's sim restriction code...
You could try asking the guy from whom you bought the phone what code he was using for security...

make sure you start w/ version wm6.1 or it wont work..

I saw this phone on a website
it is a bricked phone but with a reasonable price
the seller said that he flashed a wrong recovery and then when booting the device ,it stuck at this page
and i have few questions
1. is it real ?
2. it is possible to fix it?
3. i am living in HK , can i use it normally or i need to do something like sim unlock?
Since i use samsung devices these years and i am using galaxy nexus now, so i don't have any experience of htc's

i think it is fixble
you just need to
flash the correct recovery
as for sim free
if the person who give it to you , dident did it , so yes you need to do sim free for it
just google ,you have all the information out there,it is real and it is fixble.

I think the phone is in Egypt variant since it says carrier ID is Egypt?
For the Recovery mode I had these;
So as you see, I tried many things to fix this without sending it to SC since I live in North Cyprus. I'm pretty sure that it is not hardware related but more likely a software stuff. Any ideas to fix this? Thanks.

i got the problem too
No one has any idea about how to fix this instead of sending phone to Samsung Care? Like draining the battery completely etc? Or possible software conflicts? Since I have updated to bootlader 6, I cannot go back to 5 either.
