Anyone knows if there's an app that works with aHome, like bettercut/anycut?
and yes I did use the Search function.
Thanks
I guess it's a no then
I know bettercut doesn't and wont, they dont wanna help out the competition.
Anycut works for me
I do not think you need it. Just click on the menu button and add the app or whatever else you want. Then just press and hold down the icon and you can either delete or rename. Unless you are trying to do something else?
Bettercut and Anycut don't work for me with aHome. When I try to create a direct call shortcut it creates one in the native android home screens but not the ahome screens....I wonder if this is what the OP is talking about.
Yes, I want to make a few direct calls on the main screen with aHome, and Anycut/Better cut don't work.
You need to download Any Cut - Open Home Edition (free) for direct calls to work on aHome. I just made one right now that works perfectly fine.
BetterCut on the other hand doesn't work no matter what I do.
I use anycut with ahome...it works just fine
Longpress > Shortcuts > Anycut
You...just cant use bettercut. Its kind of sad that android developers are not in the same mindset as the general Linux community...seems they are in it only for themselves.

I know that I would donate $10 to someone who can take the time to figure this out. It has to be possible to add a Tasks tab to the TF3D interface.
I don't want to have to switch to second today or anything like that - fully integrated! A clean and simple list of tasks maybe with an "X" delete button on the right side of each task.
I know people say it's impossible, but with some time I'm sure it can be done.
If you would like this too and would be willing to donate some - just leave a post saying so - maybe someone will be enticed to collect such a prize enough to figure it out!
If you do figure it out and post a reply - you're my hero and please set up a thread for donations!
edit: By tasks I mean things you have to do in real life - NOT a list of running programs - linked in to the 'Tasks' program that's a part of outlook...
yeah, someone help!!! it a obviously new tab, everyone need that!
Manila Control?
I know it's not the answer you're looking for but have you taken a look at Manila Control?
It allows you to use your regular today screen (with plugins). It's somewhat like Second Today however I always had problems with it running. I've been using this since its release and haven't had any trouble whatsoever.
Manila Control
It's something for now until the XDA gurus can figure out a way to create a tasks tab.
count me in for a donation
I'll be willing to contribute to a tasks tab!
I'll donate too, 10-20 dollar if you can make something like alt-tab in windows for the touch pro, maybe use the capacitive touch(multitouch) for the alt tab, and when i slide my finger across that, i can select the program.

I'm not sure I understand but a programs tab is already out there (like when you go into the original programs tab and hit the all programs button)
I'll donate 10$ as well

What I want is the ability to quickly switch between all the program I have running. If i'm using opera and have say, media player running in the background, right now, I have to go to "Home", than use the HTC Task Manager to switch to media player.
If there is an easier way, that'll be great, but I have been doing it that way all this time.
Hahahaha... I cancel my donation - I was thinking about "tasks" as "things to do", not "running programms"
Ok - let me clear things up since I started the thing
I want a task tab as in 'things to do'
Like linked to the 'Tasks' program
You kno - that program that's a part of outlook.
NOT something to show running programs!
To me that just sounds excessive...

try "task facade"
I have a fuze, so I set the ptt button, but you can set the long-send key as it, and it'll do a x1 style overview of windows
I have a question about the tad too, I've seen nice interfaces with a calendar tab, for whatever reason my ATT Fuze didn't come with a calendar tab, you can click calendar from the home page but it brings up the default calendar instead of the pretty calendar I've seen in other screen shots, is there maybe a cab out there to install but he calendar tab to my stock Fuze TF3D?
Thanks!!
Heres a screenshot of what I'm missing (note mines not a black theme its the default ATT Fuze gray theme)

$10*
Put me down for $10 provided that it is a tab, not a SecondToday kind of thing, and that the task display is a la TodayAdenda not just the original MS today tasks plug in.
Weird that this hasn't been done already considering how many people want it as, though I am not a programmer, it doesn't seem like it is that complicated a modification given some of the other things XDA folk have produced.
bump...............
OK, since it's for the "things to do" tab, I'll pay 10 bucks for it eventually
This is my most awaited feature. Not having easy access to tasks is a huge inconvenience. I do not understand why this was not a default tab...
Has there been a solution to this problem yet?
no... Just wishful thinking I guess...
$100 anyone???? (sarcasm btw)
I am pretty sure you cant do this from xml editing alone. I think you would need the source code for tf3d. I could add the function in the source code and then edit xml. Does any one have tf3d reversed engineered or is the source code released?
How do you switch between home programs? ie... from OpenHome to Rosie?
Thanks.

There is an app that allows you to switch between them on the Market...not sure what it's called.
But go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, and go to the Home replacement you're currently using, and click "Clear Defaults". The next time you press the home button, it'll ask which one you want to use. Don't select the check mark if you want to switch often.
Hope that helps
NVM luke answered it
Perfect thanks. I couldn't remember, tried searching and just couldnt' find the damn answer, knew it was easy too.
I'm really sorry, if this subject is already in the forum. I used search, and did not find anything that helps me.
I wonder if there is a way to make quick-launch-icons to desktop? Many programs like TomTom make the icon, when you install the program. But if I have some other program already installed, can I somehow make a shortcut for it? I want to speed up things, so I don't want to pick up the program from start-menu.
Here is a program you can use to add many programs to today screen.
Eazy Today Launcher
Thank you very much, that works like a dream !
Happpy to help
Not sure if its the right place to ask.
Anyways Im runing MyHero ROM, there for using HTC Sense as my home replacement I guess..
When I start better cut everything work, Im just nto able to add anymore shorcuts than the 5 that it shows me.
So I cant change the icons of any other apps just the browser from the ones I use...
Anyone knows what might be wrong?
When you open BetterCut, does it give you any option at the very beginning to 1st select your Home? If it's not, then maybe it's looking at the icons in Home, and not HTC Sense?
nop... not options!
Has anybody tried it yet? Can they report back how it compares to the beta. There are a lot of -ve comments at the moment. Hopefully Mskip will work his magic on it like he did with the wimno version.
It might also be useful if people reported what ROM's, LCD densities etc that it works with.
This is their demonstration / instructional video.

i try it ,its better than the beta with more commands and stuff

Hi,
I have bought it and it runs realy great, using GBX11.0 @clk.
I don't try the beta so I can't compare it.
But I want to know if it is possible to save the settings I've made in SPB Shell 3D?
Hi

You can create and name folders within spb without the use of folder organiser. Have a look at their demonstration video.

i personally dont think its worth it. you cant really place icons where you want. they just move around according to the space left on your screen. good graphics. but not really worth it.
i'd say they're too late with their product... They could release it earlier and change interface, but now as it is it isn't competitive thats all
i'm using the beta version now... ok, let me test the SPB Shell 3D and let you all know how it works.
Why pay 15$ for this thing when you can get ADW Ex for 3$, LPP for 3$ or even Go Launcher Ex for free??
Way too expensive...
Hey guys, i have just tested SPB Shell 3d version. Finally the problem from beta version 5.0 has been solved! When use 5.0 each time you connect to pc to tranfer file, it will prompt you to reload SPB shell again and again! Now it works fine.
In the Calander, problem solved too. In beta, you cant add in any upcoming event even you click on add. But now it is working.
Now it is well-organized. Very nice to use. However, the only problem i found is that when you click the center button so you get all the page go around in 3d which is very cool. However, when you move it 1 by 1, actually the home menu button of the current page doesnt really follow. eg, you move to travel page, but the home menu button still at calandar. When you select travel page to maximize, you will get calandar page instead.
That's all i found.
The icons not 'sticking' to one spot can be a pain, but is manageable.
3D carousel can be quite dizzying at times but now the tiny indicator light does move from home screen to tell you where you are.
I like the weather app and I like the 'update on free connections only' option. I have Internet pass through (an essential requirement as I have no data plan) and it looks as if it updates weather whenever I use it.
It is still very new for me (I have only had it on for 6 hours now) but I am an old WinMo SPB Mobile shell user. I now have SPB Shell3D 1.0.3.
SPB Widget choice is limited. One thing I really miss is MSkip's themes and Icons, but it is early days and perhaps he is already busy on something.
Don't waste your time and money with SPB 3D, it's worthless. With some exceptions the app looks old, like is an app from 2008, not 2011. The 3D caroussel looks nice but it's just not suitable for frequent use... the weather panel is also nice but this is where nice stops. Nothing else in this app is really impressive, just regular features you'll find in every similar app. I preferr to use Fancy Widget with its nice 3D transitions between screen, than the old looking SPB.
