HELP! WinMo Media Player Skins on Xperia - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay - right off the cuff, I'm a WinMo neophyte and am learning as I go along. One thing I can't do for the life of me is to install skins on Media Player. I've downloaded .zip files with three skins that work on a TyTn 2 for sure, unzipped them into their own folders and pasted these folders in the Program Files/ Windows Media Player/ folder on my device with no luck. Any pointers here as several soft resets have not resolved it and it's driving me up the friggin wall?

Try to search through the forum, there is a few post regarding your issue.

Good old retro game for the HTC TyTnII

OK, this is a game you will recognise and was coded by an old workmate of mine a few years ago for my Ipaq (so you know HOW many years) at my wife's request as she preferred it to playing with me!!!
Dug it out of my old files as I found it works very well on the TyTynII.
Hope it works for all the other variants as its pretty addictive.
Enjoy.
Good deal, trying it out now.
To be honest I have not seen the guy for seven years but I think we all ought to prod him to re-start fognoft software.
He has a talent that blows my mind...
looks promising just one thing, where does it go? its got no installer and the instructions just say cpy to your windows ce machine its an exe so im thinking program folder or start menu folder in windows/start menu/programs?
OOps, sorry. It's before we had .cab installers!!
DOH! (shows how old it is..)
Unzip the files on your PC then copy the folder on to your phone using the Mobile Device link when connected via USB cable and Activesync.
Copy it into 'Mobile device' 'My windows Mobile-Based Device' 'Program files' ... whilst this is open, enter the ICBM-PocketPC-ARM directory that you have just copied and right-click and copy the main .exe file. Then go to the Windows directory of your phone (still on the PC!), 'Start Menu' 'Programs' 'Games' folder, right click your mouse and paste the shortcut (rename it how you want) the icon will appear in you programs menu!
Awesome. Shall we post high scores? first try 25,270. Who can beat it?

good slide sounds...

does anybody have 2 good sounding sounds (lol) that i could use for when i open and close my tilt?
3 keys on a piano up...and 3 keys down would be nice.
Here you go...
Install CAB and then just rename any two files EXACTLY as follows and drop them in the device/windows directory:
custom-in (Sound when you close keyboard)
custom-out (sound when you open keyboard)
There are two sets in the rar archive, viz. LS is Light Sabre as in Star Wars-This is the one I use. ST is Siege Tank as in Starcraft game. Both are cool.
Basically you can use any two wav files and rename them as mentioned.
ENJOY!!!

thanks for the cab....but does anybody have a simple piano sound?
here is a bunch i have collected sorry no cabs though there are sonic, mario, halo, startrekand scarface again i did not make these i just found them
where r they?
I'm on a AT&T Tilt and I don't see the windows directory when I browse my smartphone. Am I doing somethin wrong or do I need a special program to be loaded to reach windows????
if you're browsing via ActiveSync from your desktop computer, maybe you'll have to edit the folder-view to show system files (extras - folder options - view)
WICKED!!! This rocks!!!

Sorry, I don't have any piano wavs, but if you do a google for piano wav sounds you should find what you are looking for. That's what I did when I was looking for certain notification sounds.
Good luck!!!
Anyone have a machine gun sound??

So do I just drop the entire zip file into the Windows directory? I tried to drop unzip and put in the wav files themself, but they didn't show up in the keyboard sound drop down.

the sounds go in the windows directory then you need to opena reg editor and go hklm/software/htc/slidingsounds and edit the registry to either add to the existing sounds or editing the exisisting ones. to add more sounds you simply need to copy and paste one of the other folder and change the names and numbers to match your new sound for example to add a fourth sound you would need to pick the sound you want and make i 3_in.wav and 3_out.wav
you wil also need to go into the folder and edit the default to change the name. or if we are really luck someone will cab this up for us.for better instructions go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=356400

HTC audio manager Skins

Hello guys...
After some time crawling on google I didnĀ“t find any skin for the HTC audio manager. I looking for the Blue one. (Windows mobile default)
I found some but they are inside a rom and I don't know how to extract it.
Anyone has the blue skin?
Thanks anyway
Blue audio manager skin
hi, i made an audio manager blue skin myself with the default green audio manager that i changed the colors with photoshop. I am very happy of the result. You just need to overwrite the pictures in the windows directory folder of your device. You could probably have a problem overwriting because windows is protected so use total commander which is free on internet. To make sure you dont regret to put it in your device, look at the names of the pictures there is in the folders i give you and copy all of those from your ppc that have the same names in a folder on your computer so in any case, if you dont like it, you can put back the green default ones. By the way, i took care of creating three folders which are named mm, mmr and MP3Trimmer because its how the pictures are named at the beginning but you dont transfer the folders but the pictures only. Enjoy
Gee... thanks for it mate.

anyway to add japanese fonts to Tilt?

I was wondering if its possible to ad characters or fonts to the kaiser for MS word and powerpoint. Im taking a japanese class and were starting to do assignments in hiragana and kankji...is there anyway to add these fonts/characters to he tilt so they don't come up as squares when I open .doc and .ppt files?
Thanks in advance....

try google next time
sorry i wasn't able to...it took me 10 minutes just to load this website and make this post using pocket IE. my connectivity wasn't going well, so searching google was a bit tough. Thanx though
after messing around w/ that site and their various fonts for about an hour, nothing seemed to work. For future reference, if anyone needs to get a font on their PPC that they have on their comp no matter what it is, you can simply go to Windows/fonts on your pc then DRAG (@ least on windows vista it doesn't allow you to copy directly) to another folder. when you drag it will copy it, then from that folder you can load it into the /Windows directory of your phone, then do a soft reset.

Matrix Theme for Sense 2.1

First, I got the idea and some of the icons from skilty in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425176. Thanks to skilty.
Although I started with skilty's theme, I have pretty much redone all the icons. Not everything was covered in the Rhodium Manila so I needed to add several things. I scoured the internet for some of the other icons and assembled them here.
The first picture is the loading GIF after a reset. The second picture is the background. The third is some screen shots of the TF3D manila. The last picture is the phone dialer.
For the contacts, I have used the Matrix cell phone for the mobile device, the old fashioned phone (hard line) as the home phone, and a phone booth as the work phone.
There are icons for Manila Today Page and for the new Manila TV tab.
Before you do any overwriting of files, I would suggest copying all your manila files to a folder on your desktop in case you want to go back to the way things were before.
I've attached all the manila files in the New Matrix Manila zipped file. The dialer screen, background picture, and other files are in the other zipped file. You just need to copy the manila files onto your device and then use a program like total commander to copy them to your \windows\ directory. I haven't had much luck removing TF3D from today and then re-enabling it. I pretty much had to do a reset after copying the files.
I'm having trouble right now uploading the loading screen gif. I'll see if I can still upload it.
I hope some of you enjoy it! And I don't take any responsibility if anything happens to your phone. There shouldn't be a problem since it is only graphic files that are changing.
I almost forgot to include the Action Screen I created.
You first need to have this installed (I know it was already installed in the Eneregy Rom series 2 I am using). http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=58625
Then you need to copy the contents of the attachment into the \windows\actionscreen\ directory. I have changed one of the buttons to a 3G toggle instead of bluetooth since I never used that one.
Also there is a skin for psShutXP. Its only the image files, so I'm assuming you already have it installed on your PPC device.
Attached is a new action screen by Oz from here.
And finally I have attached a skin for xdashutdown developed here.
Enjoy.
Here is a skin for the power radio app, Resco Explorer, and s2u2. I've also uploaded the matrix background that you'll need for s2u2 background.
Do not understand why this theme was buried. It is soo nice. indeed.

First, do you have Sense 2.1 or the newer 2.5 installed. You should find the info under you device info in settings.
Also, I think I'm going to resurrect this theme so I can use the new CHTScheduler for the CHT Home Tab. So I'll be updating this for sense 2.5 in the coming weeks. You may want to hold on for that.
If you still want what's posted here, I'll throw together some cab files for you. Most of the stuff is manual install, meaning you have to copy all the files to your devices windows directory. Does any of that help?
Hi!
Thank you very, very much! I already took some parts of it (the background pictures) and i put it on my phone. It looks ...WOW...but i still want to install the whole theme.. Yes, i have the latestes Enegy Rom installed, with Sense 2.5...So i will look forward for your new theme (and, if is not to disturbing, the guide step by step how to install it - i undestood that i have to copy all the files to \Windows, but..this is it?? ).
