okay so i had been able to charge my phone recently, but the tilt wouldn't connect to the computer (sync)
so i read the wiki and what not
i took off the rubber cover on the pins and noticed one was bent a little...so i unbent it and connected it back to the usb connection WITHOUT the rubber cover...and voila, it now syncs with the pc
i then tried putting the rubber cover back on and it WONT sync back with the pc
it only works WITHOUT the rubber cover now....any suggestions? should i just leave it like this?
Well, if it works without the rubber cover and doesn't work with the rubber cover, my suggestion would be to leave the rubber cover off. That is of course if you want it to work.

I've had the g1 since launch and the charging cover is starting to get loose. The clip on the left side of the cover doesn't stay closed anymore and always hangs out halfway.
Just wondering if anyone has the same problem and found a fix.
Fix
OK, so I played around a little bit and realized that the clips on the left and right of the mini usb cover are not really used to keep the cover in place.
To tighten up the cover again I used 3 pieces of scotch tape, layered on top of each other, on the long side of the hexagon shape of the mini usb. Make sure the tape is on there well and wont come off too easily. It has worked so far for me, but don't know how long it will last.
If anyone has any other suggestions, it would be appreciated.
I've been contemplating taking mine off.
I took mine off. No need to open a flap to charge now
Had no probs whatsoever since
I've searched for a long while for help with this but I'm giving in now.

This thread explains the problem I'm having but I couldn't follow the solution like the other guy could. In short how do I remove and then refit the antenna cable from my old phone case to the new one? I've managed to remove the black plastic cover over it but it still won't budge and in trying to make it budge I managed to pull of the gold connector from the wire.
Which actually brings me onto two more quick questions. I'm assuming the cable will still be good if I just put the gold connector back on the end? But how would you suggest I do so? Also in taking apart my phone I put a few wholes in the foil on the bottom of the battery whilst trying to leverage it out, is the battery still safe to use? It also has a few scratches/light dents on the side from the same process.

i found on internet USB Flaps,it's not to expensive but i wonder is there any usb flap replacment tutorial
or does anyone know how to replace usb flap on this phone
thanks
Replacement tips.
Are only two ways to remove actual USB cover:
1. "nice way"
- if near you is a clean environment to not let the dust to enter on the open phone, especially on the camera lens and you have right tools:
-- a Torx screwdriver (T5 or T6 not sure)(Five-star-type)
-- could be necessary also a Philips screwdriver
- unscrew the "five-start-type" screws from top and could be necessary to unscrew the Philips screw too, then follow bellow steps, without full unscrew the phone.
2. "brutal way"
- open the installed USB cover and firmly, but not sharply, pull the cover out;
- install the new USB cover, use a slot type screwdriver to push back the cover.
List of screw drivers: List of screw drives
In both cases close the phone and remove the battery first!
Be patient and place the phone on a glasses cloth to not scratch the front of the phone.
Has anyone been able to/willing to figure out a way to disable the whole screen-off by magnet thing? I've been using a magnet mount in my car, and everything works great except that if placed just a bit off, the screen will turn off. Turning the screen on doesn't help because it will turn right back off again as soon as you swipe away the lock screen. As soon as I remove my phone from the holder (or even just slide it up/down a bit) it will stop doing it. I can't really move the plate the magnet attaches to, because then it would interfere with wireless charging. I've seen solutions for other devices, but not the N6. Thanks.

where have you put your "plate" on your phone? do you use wireless charging at all?
I don't use wireless charging. It was for a magnetic mount in my car. I had my plate attached to the spigen slim case and I placed it about an inch below the Motorola logo, my phone kept locking and wouldn't unlock as long as I had the plate there and attached to the magnetic mount. I ended up having to move it up and cover about half the Motorola logo and it works fine, but I find that aesthetically unpleasant.
Therefore I'm hoping someone has a solution so i can lower the plate to where it was before.
Would also like a fix for this. Use a magnetic phone holder too. If I get it in a sweet spot then I'm OK but any movement or mount it just off screen is off and can't get it back on. Like a tasker to disable this would be perfect!

Till now I could not find a software solution to disable the magnet sensor.
In my car there is a strong neodymium magnet. Fixed with double sided tape. Diameter about 20 mm.
On the back of my N6 is a hard case with a small metal piece fixed on the outside with superglue.
When the metal is mounted on the lower part (about 1 cm below the M-logo) the magnet sensor is not activated
When there is metal on the back, wireless charging is not possible. The metal will be very hot and may cause damage.
The rubber seal got loose on both ends, it's only glued on the middle, this makes the USB cover to open by itself, there is a way I can glue the rubber seal?
I know a flap replacement would be the ideal solution but that's not possible for me.
