is there a way to set the center navigation button to answer a call and automatically set it to speaker phone mode? currently, i have to push the green button (or slide finger to the left) to answer the call, than i have to slide down a button to access call options, than push speaker phone button. as you can see, its a lot of work to answer a call and than putting it into speaker phone. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have a TyTn II and am very satisfied with it. However I have an annoying problem and would appreciate any help to fix it. When I have an incoming call, according to the instruction manual I can answer either by pressing the "Call" button (the one with the green telephone symbol) or by touching the softkey for "answer" (or the area on the touchscreen where "answer" is written). In practice, only the second method works. I have lost calls by insisting on keeping the call button pressed instead of using the softkey.
The call button works just fine for accessing the phone dialer, so it is not a hardware problem. Is there somewhere in the registry where the call button has to be mapped to answer incoming calls?
I live in Italy and use TIM as a provider. This should not influence things at all.
I am having a similar problem with my Mogul, except neither the green call button nor the "answer" softkey will work for me.
or any on screen buttons in the HTC dialer. anyone know how to get rid of it? its supppper annoying
A little more information would be helpful -
1. does this tone happen when you press a button while on a call?
2. if it does - does your other party hear it or only you?
3. what buttons does it happen on touch screen buttons or only the buttons on the front of the phone?
4. is this when you have speaker phone on or a headset or simply using the phone?
5. is it only when you hang up or any button at any time while on a call?
6. do the buttons make normal sounds when you are NOT on a call?
7. have you turned off sound on your buttons - have you at least tried this to see if it kills the problem?

when in the dialer go Menu->Options then Keypad: Off
ahh keypad tones off got rid of the annoying beep lol thanks! wish there was a way i keep the beep for the numeric keypad without the obnoxious beep that came out of the speakerphone part rather than the ear piece when backspace/ call history/ speed dial is pressed
jut realized it still makes the annoying noise when it connects to a call
i found that someone had my exact problem on a wings smartphone. they edited the registires in order to turn it off. i played arround with mine all day but no luck. here is the thread if anyone can apply it to a kaiser id be very greatful!

I've searched around and haven't had much luck. I use vibraswitch mapped to my PTT button to switch between vibrate and sound, but sometimes (especially when I'm on the phone and use it), the phone will volume will turn off (speaker w/ x, not on and not vibrate) instead of either switching the volume on or to vibrate. I've missed some calls because of this.
Somebody in a post here said that if you hold down the button u mapped it to for a second it will do this, but this doesn't seem to be the case. If this has been answered before I'm sorry, hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction!

The only thing about this program is that the phone doesn't vibrate when you toggle between the settings. I change the volume in my pocket a lot so I rely on the vibrates to let me know when I switch.
Hi I searched in this forum but could not find the answer, is there any way to disable the wheel during a call? i hold phone in my left hand, and even with screen locked, the wheel turns so the screen unlocks, leading to my ear pressing the soft buttons on the screen, which is a problem because often my ear presses the end button!
Use the speaker phone option. You can hear the person on the other end without picking up the phone....
bump - any love here?
phone canvas?
I was having the exact same problem, but now I use AE Button Plus. I set the scroll wheel to only be active when the today screen is active. It works perfectly.
Does anyone know if it's possible to assign a function to the trackball (or other button) to perform a specific action in an application.
The particular scenario I'm trying to cover here is mute and un-mute of the microphone during a voice call. I have not been able to find a way to mute and un-mute a call without turning on the screen, unlocking the phone and then pressing the mute button in the phone app. What I'd love to be able to do is just press the trackball or press and hold the up or down volume buttons to mute or un-mute the phone.
I travel quite a bit for business and walking through an airport with a headset on and the phone on mute it's VERY inconvenient to have to stop, put a bag down follow the three steps listed above just to chime in on a conference call.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
