Hello folks.
I got an issue connected to the HTC addons (HTCDialer, HTCCommsManager to be more accurate).
1) I had the standard dialer, then I decided to try out the HTC one, liked it a lot, but installed a PIM manager (PhonEX), which installed its own dialer (which was crap btw, since I couldn't even make calls nor receive them, but that's another story). So I uninstalled that thingie and decided to get the HTC dialer back. When I execute the cab-file, the installation process goes through but then it says that the installation failed (and ofc no dialer appears). Has anyone faced a problem like that and what can the solution be?
2) Some programms designed for the work with internet stopped working for me (most likely after I installed the htc addons), such as IE, YouTube client (included into Daran's tf3d b2), QIP (IM client). All of them in one way or another display messages like "Can't connect", Connection lost" etc. I'm not sure if this problem is really connected to the HTC addons, but the apps stoppedfunction after I installed them. I tried to uninstall the HTC software (except for t3fd), but it didn't help..
If you have an idea about solving these problems, please, answer Thank you for your attention

maybe it's somthing in the registry, but I'm not shure...

here is my system:
- Outlook 2007 SP1
- Windows XP SP3 Home
- ActiveSync 4.5
here is my problem:
I used to sync notes, tasks, contacts and calendar with my pc. Since this night activesync gives me error 80004005 for anything i try to sync except notes.
When I first sync notes it shows a windows to I choose between merge from device or pc and any option i choose performs note sync. Tasks, Contacts or Calendar in any combination will result in a fail sync.
what i tried:
- remove device, reboot device and pc. Try to sync.
- repair my Outlook file with scanpst.exe.
- remove all my calendars and tasks. No luck.
Some light please...

...Tired of dont get answers I hard-reseted my device.
The nice surprise, sync worked.
So i installed 5 cabs in a row, rebooted the device and sync dont work again.
Well, the problem maybe in one cab. Removed each one and repet the test but the problem dont go away.
So I removed my device from Activesync list, reboot the pc and the device.
Now its working, i will investigate the problematic cab and post here.
After some stressing research I found the problematic cab.
It seems to be a incompatible between Dutty´s 2.9 MSVC and "Duttys All in one Cabs".
-Remove "Duttys All in one Cabs".
-Restart PC and device.
-Removed my device from PC´s ActiveSync list.
-ReSync.
No more problems.
If someone is experimenting the same problem please post some feedback. Thx!
I have the same problem as I did exactly the same as what you have described.
I didn't know that was the cause. I gave up and changed to CVSD version. No problem at all now. Thank you for verifying this....

Yes, I did.
I thought I have the Sync problem solved when I switched to CVSD. The problem is coming back after I install everything I need including "Dutty's All in one Cabs". I think, again, it could be due to "Duttys All in one Cabs".
Here is what I have done,
Flash CVSD, hard reset
install Chinese CE Star for Chinese Font / Input Support
Sync with outlook, no problem and very fast
install "Duttys All in one Cabs"
install TrackThisOutTracky (GPS trail tracking software)
install Duttys Compact Qwerty KBD
install Full Qwerty KBD default
install Tnyynt Full Keyboard Font Fix
install Penpower WorldCard Mobile
install GPS Test
install Skype
I cannot remember the sequence of installing all other software except CE star (I always do this first everytime I flash with new ROMs).
ActiveSync opens on background

i have read a lot of posts and used some of the tricks and tweaks since got my diamond last week /
anyway ' my problem is that ActiveSync runs from time to time on my TD
and i bellive eats my battery /
offcurse everytime disconecting from pc i kill that process ' and still it opens by itself latter on /
i hade installed alias ActiveSynckiller and sims that this does not help for me /
any sugestions ?

Which ROM are you using? Radio?
Sync problem with LAN
My HTC Diamond does not Sync while LAN cable connected to the PC or laptop... it only syncs when LAN cable is unplugged... I've always have to remove the LAN cable from the PC or laptop before synchronizing my device... I checked it on different PCs & laptops...but it gives the same problem... can anyone help??
I've searched for this without success...
When I click the CALENDER (below the CALL HISTORY link) it goes green but doesn't launch the calender. Any ideas how to get it working?
(Stock 1.93 Orange UK ROM)
I have the same problem on my Diamond too! Although it used to work earlier until I fed-in an appointment and after that its gone kaput!

There is this program ssmaho (and the older ssmapa) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493810&highlight=ssmapa which gives you the option to press something eg calendar and run any other aplication you want. Why dont you try to use it, and make it run calendar again. Perhaps it will work..
Or you can try editing the LUA script yourselves

When I uninstall mUn_BackGround4AllPages_v02.cab, the calender works again!
Hello everybody!
I've been trying some new roms recently (Sense roms, that is),
and most of them seem to have trouble receiving (sending) mms.
I hear it has something to do with the HTC Message App.
Now the common solution I found on the boards is to de-activate the HTC program and go back to the windows message client.
I was wondering if there was another way around, because I (and apparently others, too) like the HTC Message client better than the boring windows message program.
I posted this question in the regarding topics, but seeing that is a rather prominent issue, I thought I might start a thread. Search results only lead to no answers or the aforementioned work around.
I'd be really great if there was a way to integrate mss functionality into the HTC Message client.

I know what you mean. I had experienced trouble with a number of ROMs and HTC MMS support. I finally found a ROM with no MMS problem what so ever. I'm currently using Touch-IT BT - manila 2.5.20113030 - Build 24001/23519/21890. I installed build 24001, but I believe that any of the builds will work for you since the MMS problem is with the Sense/Manila version and not Windows.

So the problem is that when i start my phone and its ready it shows me one message you can see it in the pictures i upload. It says that an unexpected error was occurred in Shake.exe I don't even know what is this program and what it does. The previous thing i do was to uninstall the slide to unlock program that i found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523485 and because i don't like it i uninstall it and when i turned on the phone this massage came across (i don't know if i can express like that bad english)
So do i have to uninstall the tf3d and then to install it again or i can do something else to avoid that. The tf3d i use is that TF3D HD beta 3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448178)
btw the phone is working fine when i turned off the tf3d so my phone is OK i just want to turn back my tf3d but everytime i do that it couldn't launch. So pls help here.

that build is soo old! use the latest build which is a one cab install from the TG01 themes and apps forum. Bug free and stable. Hard reset after installation for better results

all those links to threads u showed us is at least 1-2 years old. the trouble with such old mods is that they are often very buggy and as people tend to opt for newer software, bugs on older software tend to go unreported.
what i would do if i were u would be to flash a new ROM instead of using your stock ROM. what this gives you is new software and hardware, with constant bug fixes. if you are bent on having a TF3D interface, look up Energy's ROM. he has skinned it in at least 3-4 different ways so im sure there is one that you'd like
Well guys, I searched a lot on the xda but no luck. So I decided to create this thread to ask you some helps. It's a common problem... Facebook on SPB Mobile Shell is the worst client ever... It asks me to Sign In, well I do, but after I see my Home page on Facebook, and go back to sync my contacts with Facebook, it wants me to sign in again and this infinite loop goes forever. There was a cab told to fixing this issue. I installed it but when I tap on sign in, just a blank screen appears and SPB crashes after some. SPB is the best UI I've ever worked with. That's the only problem I'm facing... I asked SPB support, but they said you need to wait for new version (pfff, no new versions since last year!! They thought I'm a kid!) So guys is there any way to fix this? I need this really bad... By the way, my device is hTC Touch Diamond2 and running my own costume ROM (build 21916)
PS: SPB support told me a solution but with no luck: Set IE as default browser, clear cookies and cache, then soft reset and log in to Facebook via IE. After that sign in via Facebook widget anywhere you want.

I have the newest stock ROM(R3A) and i also tried it with older ROM(R2A) with the same result.

No resolution yet but what I have found even stranger is that I can go into my albums, tap the facebook tab on the bottom and retrieve all the latest and up to date pictures from my friends albums instantly but unable to log into FB.

It's a SPB issue, according to SPB. They are aware of it and have been aware of it for quite some time. Apparently, there are no plans to fix it at this time unless it is fixed in the coming release of SPB 4. Maybe.
My solution (on HTC Touch 3G) was to uninstall SPB 3.5.5 and to install the 3.5.3 version. All my problems are forgotten now! Everything works.
