Welcome to my ROM thread!
This ROM is the first one in my series of ROMs for the Touch HD, and it's designed to have the latest and greatest applications and improvements. I also make ROMs for the Touch Pro device and that can be found in this thread.
This ROM is based on the latest stock, shipped Topaz ROM, so it it should solid as a rock. I can assure you, it's much... MUCH faster than any stock ROM on your device.
The ROM is being continuously developed and bug fixed and there's almost daily releases. I've decided to name each release by the date when it was released. For example, 33109 would have been released on March 31, 2000.
The ROM is currently based on the 21042 OS core, with all the new goodies from the newly announced Diamond2 (Topaz) device.
The ROM should already be %99 bug free. Bugs you may find, will be related to the Manila interface, mainly the unfinished Facebook features.
- This ROM is a Ferrari, therefore it drinks a lot of gas and burns a lot of rubber (RAM)... so be prepared to charge your phone more often!

Issues:
- Some of the programs names on the Programs tab are overlapping each other. Will try to provide a hotfix for this. Simply an esthetic issue though.
- NetCF 3.5 is missing (or not working) in the ROM, so please find the cab posted in the next couple of pages and download / install that, until I can add it back to the ROM. Some apps, like Advanced Config don't work without NetCF

Q: Why is the phone a little slow when you first boot it up ?
A: ConnectionSetup tries to detect your SIM card for the first 30 seconds after boot up. During that time, the phone might be a little sluggish.

A: It's good for me, but you still have to charge your phone everyday.

Thanks what are the limitations/bugs of this version? Also How fast is it compared to the original TouchFLO?
Doing a test on this ROM Now. Does not have Landscape application in programs, will report back later with more info.
Ok here is what my quick search has found.
Has Green Batt indicator with %
No landscape support for manilla
Opera V 9.5 Build 15954/Rotate works well/Has zoom slider
No HTC Notifications
No vibration on keyboard- Has New HTC Keyboard
Does not have the new HTC Phone keyboard and canvas.
No system wide HTC Large menus./ Has large menus in Manilla only
Has Camera Rotate bug.
Has 12 button Action screen on left soft key.
Can't change contact picture from Manilla contact tab.
New HTC Calculator
New HTC Email setup and connection setup
A few added programs
Windows Live & messenger
No ICR
Memory usage is good seems to stay in mid 30's to mid 40's% and the highest I saw was 49-50% with some programs running.
Scored very good on SK Tools benchmark test. Actually just as good as Dutty's ROM so I would say it is Fast.
Manilla Did not rotate with Flipit software to test Landscape of manilla.
Actually more thoughts about this ROM, If Landscape for Manilla is not important to you, this is a very good ROM with all the new keyboards New Manilla etc. It is also very fast and the memory usage is the best I've seen in the new Manilla ROM's
Sounds very good, though i will wait for a more complete version, I'm hoping to get near enough everything the new HTC users will get on my HD. It's nice to see a "clean" ROM though instead of the fully moded ones.
I may check this out later and report on it
Prior PhamQuang ROMs have been excellent....I would expect no less of any PDAviet release.

This is crap! I am tired of spending sometimes up to an hour downloading a posted ROM only to find that when I try to unzip it I need a password that only certain people are allowed to have. If your ROM isn't for everybody then don't bother posting it!

How to get the Touch-IT Xperience:
Hard-SPL is needed if you wanna flash custom roms
-Info on Hard-SPL here
My tips on how to flash a custom rom:
-Do not let battery be below 50%
-Keep the device on a secure location (so that it wont fall and loose connection to your pc during flash)
-Enter bootloader (rainbowscreen) pressing power button and volume down simultaneously (hold the buttons untill you enter bootloader)
-Connect to pc (activesync)
-Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow onscreen instructions
Please read here to get the best xperience with my roms
-Do a Hard-reset after flashing is done
-Wait with installing any apps/progs until you have tested the performance and stability of the rom.
-Tweaks and regedits are allready set to max up the performance, if you install tweaking cabs or other performance cabs, they might not
work well with this rom, and can ruin the performance of the rom.
-Before reporting bugs, try think before you post; is it related to something you have altered?
-Missing programs is not a bug. I do not wish to have comments on why this and that are missing. Get a cab..
More Info on v7.0:
-Opera that is cooked in is not supporting HW keyboard, install Opera from X1. But note that this will disable other functions like in.ex push internet.
-The HTC camera is set to 5mp res. Change this to 3, or else it wont work.
-Sollution to change right softkey found here
-Dialer do not have lanscape supported. This is because we dont have one that works with this manila.
Flash via micro-sd method

if skype doesn't work then set a txt file called modelname.txt with the following X1i (note the use of upper and lower capitals) and save the file to windows using total commander.

known issues that we can't do much about at the moment..
- manila-sms in landscape, the text bar covers the last message ( This seems to be designed that way by htc, to give space to the little popup tab at the bottom)
- not possible to link individual Facebook contacts (But you can still link in bulk)

I installed the 5.061 the other day and I reallt don't want to flash my phone again if "it aint worth it" if you know what I mean...

I think there are some improvements.
Not sure, but I think the hardware rightkey works on Manila now in this version.

None, none at all.
Don't bother flashing it, it'll just waste your time, afterall it only took us a week of testing and re-testing to come up with it..
he he, that should cut down on the amount of "Bugs"

I've read somewhere that Itje said the V7 is based on a newer build which contains bugfixes from HTC itself, but he didn't say which "bugs" are fixed.

SAFEST WAY TO FLASH YOUR ROM IS THROUGH STORAGE CARD METHOD:
* Copy BLACIMG.NBH into the root dir of your Storage Card.
* Be sure to have at least 30% of charge.
* Turn off your device by using the Power Button.
* Go to Boot loader mode. Push and hold Vol. Down + press Power button.
* After that your device with have a white screen with text " Press to power button for continue upgrade or Press Volume down button for cancel upgrade , select press to power button and it will start upgrade Rom.
ALTERNATIVE WAY OF FLASHING YOUR ROM WITH RUU.exe
* Extract Rom download Folder.
* Be sure to have at least 50% of charge.
* Turn off your device by using the Power Button
* Go to Boot loader mode. Push and hold Vol. Down + press Power button.
* Connect your device to PC
* Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow the screen instructions.
TO AVOID MANILA MUSIC PLAYER TO SKIP:
*After Flashing go to Manila Music Tab and Let it there For
1-2 minutes so AudioManager can refresh/read your SDCard

Sounds cool I'd like to test it. I tested like almost every ROM series that are 'popular' for Blackstone, like Miri, PhamQuang, Dutty, XannyTech, Mikenificent (NLD), etc.
i noticed that the cpu usage of the phone was very high. withouth doing someting it used 73%. the graphics are realy nice and fast. footprints was a little bit slow. i didnt find any bug, but i dindt test it alot.

when music didnt load after flash, u can go to library then select a song and it will load all your songs from the sd card without taking it out

Currently I am running Lotus 1.0 with Manila 2.5 from your other thread. Everything runs extremely smooth and fast! Things missing might be autorotate, htc volume slider and htc task manager. Other than that I am very very happy
Now a quick question on the 'Sense' rom in this thread. Can it be considered as Lotus 2.0? Are there changes other than the new windows build in regard to 1.0?

If you want to assign rotate screen within settings-->buttons, do the following, (I don't remember who's the author of this tweek):
With a registry editor go to
'HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\HideOrientationUI' and change the value to 0.
Then go to Settings – Buttons and it’s there for you.
