Hey guys. I was just bored as hell, thought i would ask if anyone here could recommend me a nice MMORPG game. Doesnt matter with the price, i have never payed for an MMORPG before and i dont like it, but i want some ideas to take a look at and if i see something worth it, i might try. NOT wow though. I hate that junk.
Thanks in advance.
GunZ The Duel. Best MMORPG I've ever played Great game. Free also. But play at the private servers. It's too f'n diffiuclt to level.
Kraize
if you like competition just try "Guilds War" from NC Soft (not realy a MMORP but nearly)...
if you like beautyfull graph try the young "Age of Conan" i haven't test it but he got good reply...
if you are poor (because you must buy the new Touch Pro today and an iPhone 3g for your dog) just try "Archlord" very good game from codemaster that is now TOTALY FREE ... i play with it since june because it take realy few CPU time (i play on a server... shame on me... but time is sooooo long on summer).
and my favorite is "Warhammer: Age of Reckoning"... the bad news: he is still in closed beta... but if you get a key... i told you it is 200% addictive and fun and wow (the exclamation, not the game)
Thanks guys. I think ive tried gunz once. And i have all GW campaigns. I like PVP alot. But i dont think the others are worth the money for me, and archlord doesnt seem like my taste. But thank you!
I don't know how many of you remember an old badass game for windows called Winski or Skifree.
The point of the game is to simply ski down a mountain and avoid a monster at the end.

Can anyone do it? as I said... I will happily donate to anyone who can succesfully port it to our Diamonds.
Man, itd be awesome if it could also have tilt controls...
with the accelerometer it would OWN!

hahah i know. if i could play Skifree in my Diamond id die of overjoy. And to add an option for accelerometer... oooh... I gotta change my pants.
I used to play this game years ago when my dad brought a two ton computer from work (it was pretty big) and we were just addicted to it. I'd LOVE to see it developed for Pocket PC platform.
wow old game (atari console)
used to play this on windows 3.1 I remember trying to spin crazy stuff off of the jumps the whole way down.
Sounds like a nice project. I will see what can I do to port my game development skills from the PC to the Win Mo world.
LOL omg I remember playing this game on the Windows 95 machine we had... with the monitor propped on top of the big computer box... wow the memories. Jezzball or something was another cool game... not sure if that was the name..

if i knew any programming id do it... but im willing to pay if someone can do it.
this would be really easy if we could get the source, but that guy wont release it. wonder if anyone can convince him to recompile it for winmo.
There's an open source freeware version named GNUSki
THIS game rocks!
I wanna have it on my diamond
Okay so since were all friends here and were all bffls and best friends I have a question... can I barrow some lunch money? Naaaa kiddin I'mma ask people for cash tomorrow but fo real fo real?
The G1 is really... really... really boring.
I mean less be on is. How manyof you are still amazed by your G1 as you used to be? It's like milk, that expires today... it's still good for 5 days but your like ehh... what the hey... ya knew?
That's how I feel with my G1! It's nice and all but I know theres better... So do you guys suggest anything to make me love my phone again... maybe more then I love myself? I mean idk Rachel (however you spell it idk any grls named Rachel) UI looks pretty and all so I mean that might look good but Androids just getting old. Do you think it's not meant to be or something?
I mean maybe me and my G1 aren't meant to be...? So yeah. Post a reply thinking what I should do... because were friends and don't forget...
FRIENDS DON'T YELL AT FRIENDS FOR MAKING STUPID POSTS!
So as a friend, pwease hewp mees. Pwease? =)
And also, put a smilie at the end of your post... it makes me feel special and feel like were friends... I like having friends =)
Sorry if the post is long but dude I'm so mad right now man! No signal just sucks! Anyway, THANKS BFFSS!
xD
Is yours rooted? I find tethering is something I use a lot, and a love the fact my G1 has access to 3g all the time (atleast in my area). Hooking it up with my laptop has made my day to day tasks much easier what with school and work and whatnot. Also if it's rooted you get some other cool stuff, if I find playing with my phone isn't giving me as many thrills as it used to I switch themes every now and then..
Youtube is always fun to mess around with, when I'm bored ill watch videos n' junk. Browse the market to see if any new/cool apps or games have come out..
The only thing I would wish to improve with this device is the browser. It's not quit up there with the iPhone in my opinion.. but the OS is still pretty kickass in general.
Im just now messing around with the SDK.. just did the hello world tutorial not too long ago and messing around with the 2.0 emulation (which when released or cooked it's gonna rock) Maybe if you're bored with it, download the SDK, take some time to learn it and develop something (Easier said than done).. but why not increase your knowledge while exploring the device, friend?
Sorry if this post seems weird.. First time browsing XDA on a high dosage of lorazepam. Everything seems so nice

Ughhh man. Tethering is suchh old news I been ROOTed! I hate the Mobile YouTube eww bro. I've done the App Market thing... gets boring. The Browser is okay. Hmm, send me the links for Developing and SDK's pwease bff? And friends don't judge friends by their Posts and how new they are. When I started at my new school nobody judged me by the clothes I wore (although I swagg out for 1st Impressions!) What's umm Lurah-Zee-Pamela? And yes, we try to be nice and friendly here. Thanks for the smilie! =]
Heres a thought: get into development. I got into development for the G1 8 or 9 months ago, and I've never had any point at which I thought "well, this phone is boring now".

I mean, my Reading/Language Arts/Social Studies teacher says we should all work on increasing our knowledge because our brain is something we don't want to waste... really nice lady!
I'm thinking of getting into development but like in a way my brain is tired so so much I dont know how I'm going to store all of this information. Can you provide me some links for how to make Themes, ROMs, etc...? And Kusotare, where is your smilie because I can't seem to find it friend! =/
Ok now I have Android SDK downloaded and it's doing something. Please please PLEASE somebody send me some links so I know how to develope ROMs and Themes. I know it'll be a little hard but I am willing to put in a lot of hard work to work on ROMs like Rachel UI and Eclair so that I can get things people want a lot. I honetly want an Eclair ROM more then anything right now. I have a friend whos dad works for MOTOROLA, he's going to pass me a MotoCliq tomorrow and a MotoDroid probably Monday or Tuesday next week. I can't wait for those two, I'm going to try to help developing for that and I'll still hook you guys up with some G1 ROMs and all. Anyway, please somebody be a good friend as I know all of you are and provide me some links, my E-Mail is [email protected] so you can send then there, thanks! =)
I do not know if this has been posted before, but Armed has been released about a week ago. I've been playing it like crazy ever since. Has multiplayer, turn based, etc. CPU AI is pretty hard too.
Check it out here.

A lot of reviews say it crashes on startup!

It still has a few bugs which may result in crashes every now and then. But it's very stable most of the time. At least for me. Its developers are working hard on some updates that address the bugs/crashes and add new features and maps. I for one don't regret spending 4 bucks for this - in my opinion - awesome game.
I haven't played/test it. I mostly just did some research of reviews. Seeing a good many people say it crashes during start up. They can't play the game. So, just a friendly advisory!
Try powering off your phone. It also has issues for region not being in English/US. So if that happens change your region I think. Otherwise, just wait for the fix.
I love the game, and $4 is nothing for this.
Hi guys.
I'm one of the developers of ARMED!
We're first time smartphone developers... we did a little Java phone development in like 2004, but most of our experience is in PC and console games. Try as we might we had some crash bugs... most of them related to non-US regions.
We spent alot of time before release testing the stability of gameplay... we ran thru hundreds of thousands of automated games driven by special stress test AI, but we made some rookie mistakes in other areas... like not testing the game in different locales.
It also doesn't help that it wasn't till yesterday that we got our first stack traces from Microsoft.... that was almost 2 weeks since our game was up on the marketplace. That's way too slow for the pace of moblie development IMO... we've learned our lesson there are have integrated Bugsense (google it... forum won't let me post links) for the next release.
Anyway the 1.1 release just appeared in the marketplace and it addresses all the bugs we knew of as of a week ago. I'm sure we'll find more, but at least the locale and a couple of dumb crash bugs were squashed and should make it playable for everyone.
Thanks for trying ARMED!
i like the graphics and control. Keep up the godo work.
Are the price depends on our country that we are residing or it's in standard USD.I mean for all the apps in the markrtplace.
Question to the developer:
I am an indie developer with Full-time job, and have my own game on Marketplace as well. How do you promote your game, and do you earn something for all hard work you put into the game ? As I see it right now, it would be really hard to make a living from it.
My game is free (with ads) and recently I added non-ads version of the game for people to donate something, or to disable ads.
What I found out is that from ads you earn ~0
Btw. As I said before your game is really an Eye candy
@Ttblondey
The developer has control over pricing in each region individually if they want to set them.
In our case we set the price for the US region and let it automatically set the equivalent price in all other regions.

I sort of agree... it depends on your app/game. Most of what i see on the marketplace are things one could build in a couple of hours or clones of other apps/games. It is hard to rally users behind you if you don't have a unique and high quality product.
At the current sales/ad rate we could not support our entire company (6 people) with ARMED! sales on WP7 alone. We could support one employee... but not 6.
To me this is a victory and shows the potential of WP7 in the future considering that its only 1%-2% of the smartphone market. With the push MS plans to make over the next few months i expect our revenue to at least double if we can keep the attention of the audience with updates and improvements.
That all said... we are looking at ports to other platforms to maximize revenue from the ARMED! brand and core tech. We're not ready to disclose what platforms those are yet... but it won't be Android.

We're struggling with our ads as well. It is all new territory for us, so i'm giving it some time before i pass judgement.
Our 1.0 release was missing ID_CAP_WEBBROWSERCOMPONENT which seems caused the ad network to not show near as many ads as it could. Still even after fixing this in 1.1 on my personal phone i still don't see ads at times which is really confusing to me. Still i see ad revenue improving, but its barely enough to by coffee for the office.
There is money to be made with ads... people are doing it now. Also WP7 often has a higher revenue on the same amount of impressions... but you have to get impressions.
If your game/app is not attracting users then you won't make money with ads. You need to be seeing 50K to 100K impressions per-day to really support yourself with ads alone. Most developers do this by shipping several high quality apps... not just a single one.
Looks very nice!
better then most of the xbox live games. you, sir, are a hero!
Great game, amazing graphics

We're trying hard here to build ARMED! into a fantastic game. It really does help our motivation when people praise and especially buy the game.

its nice and amazing
V1.1 work great , wish more and more item will join feture version.
I did the try on this I like this gamethat said I didn't have any issues with it at all. and when I do a try to use if I like it I'll buy it if not I remove it this game has been bought! I had a ball playing this. and didn't get bored at all with it. though It drove me nuts at times...you know when you don't play it well... over all the game is nice and nice work done on it by the Dev team....it's well worth the money....
Looks really sweet. You should consider porting it to tablet enabled Windows 8 computers seeing as the beta goes live in Feb. Then you would be the first indie to have head to head between phone and tablet
Think AoE on windows phone, it's a bit slower but a hell of a start. Who doesn't want to get in on that beta?
Please use referrer code YOZW and help us both out.
