Very new to the forum, got my td2 from mobilephonesdirect, and have noticed a problem on the screen. when touch flow is running. Most noticibly on the web browser tab, the top half on the p in push page is missing. If i move the screen around i can get the whole white lines that split the sections on the page to disappear. I have ran the lcd test program and cannot see any problems.
Has any one got any ideas, is it a faulty screen or software problem.
Mine does the same, guess its a software problem

My one has similar situation. First row of 'Add a new Push Page' is slightly strange.
The first line of text is disappeared.

If you recall how crappy the original diamonds were when they first came out (Slow and almost unuseable) then it's almost to be expected from HTC. Firmware will hopefully come soon (month or so).
I would phone HTC immediately so they can get their development team on board with rectifying this.
The faster you get on the phone the sooner it will be fixed. There is a good chance that they don't even know about it....
thanks for the speedy replies, i thought i had bought a faulty one. The last htc phone i had was a tytn, this is much better, it runs extremeley fast and touch flo is superb.
I will contact htc and let them know.

when is the third batch set to come out...secondly will the ones available in india or the uae be newer diamonds or older ones

I followed Tony Chen's guide and it worked nicely to replace everything BUT the QWERTY keyboard. I've read around and people say to follow that to replace the QWERTY keyboard - however if you actually try and do that, theres no actual way to get the keyboard in/out. It seems as if the keyboard is physically bonded with a backplate and the flex-pcb glued underneath.
Has anybody successfully replaced the keyboard? Because it doesn't seem like it since theres no documentation available (both forum or guide) so I'm leading to think this is NOT user replaceable. I called Cellular-Dr and they said they can (I forgot the exact price, I believe it was $50) but I'm stumped on how they actually do that.

Everything except the battery? Sounds like a new phone to me Like saying I got my car repaired, everything replaced except the gas (petrol).
By the way did you get more info on rleasing the keyboard?

It is in essence a new phone
The keyboard seems to be specially glued down somehow to a flex-like PCB board. I didn't want to take my chances and try to remove the bonding, I kept poking around but eventually just gave up in fear of ruining another special-order item.
how did you get rid of the att logo, im still figuring how to take mines off.

glad that i have received today my new touch diamond. so, a warm hello from my side and i am happy to switch over from the hermes forum to this one.
unfortunately i have to start with a question.
i thought that the diamond is black. i mean the color of the two foils (one which contains the screen, the other contains the buttons)
the lower foil looks blue-ish while the upper one looks green-ish.
i thought that maybe there are two color version out there and my dealer has sent me the wrong one, but i could not find any infos.
what does your diamond like like?
All black here. It may just be a reflection of something, I suppose you've looked at the device outdoors, still the same there?

Mine is the same as yours! Mine is from Orange...
It does mostly look black though.
mine is as yours .. My diamond is unbranded

Mine is two colors two. In shadow, it's all black. However in a well lit environment, the top side and the bottom side are two different shades of gray. It's not a big problem though.

I noticed a dramatic drop in the display quality on my n1 the other day. Ive been searching for similar issue but found nothing like this problem.
It looks to me like when a pc has a default display driver & can only produce 16 colours. I took a few pics with a digi cam but they don't represent how bad it really looks in person. Skin tones appear to be the worst looking.
Ive tried to find a setting where I can force 16/24bit colours but no luck.
It was fine up until sometime this week, not sure what the deal is. I'm suspecting a display fault but hoping for a software fix.
I've uploaded some snapshots in the hope someone here has some insight & can offer any clues.

No, not stock.
Currently on FRF50. I loaded froyo on within a day or so of it being posted, so was fine for a few weeks up until this week.
I tried yesterday flashing back to a cyanogen rom I was using before this but still the same effect.
do you have to Froyo radio?
radio is 4.06.00.12_7
I would be surprised if its rom or radio related as it was fine for a few weeks as is until it went dodgy a few days ago.

Will have call up support & see how painful the warranty process is from australia.
This might be a stupid question but is it only pictures you've taken with the nexus camera or system wide everywhere? Like if you have a wallpaper and scroll through your screens do the color blocks move with the screens our stay stagnant?

It is system wide. I can see it in wallpapers, backgrounds, icons, widgets etc. It moves with the screen when I move scroll.
Not much luck with local HTC support. They've told me I have to call HTC USA.
Missed their office hours by 40 mins this afternoon. Will try to get onto them again tomorrow.
Looking like it's going to be a costly warranty claim with freight Australia to US then Back to Australia.

check ebay for a new screen and DIY?

As titled, need help in finding out what's the cause of the problem.
My extreme ride side of the screen (near e edge) for the middle section is not responding to touch anymore, so with e default keyboard, in portrait mode, i can never press the P letter.
I tested the screen with e multi screen test app and i found out that the length of e unresponsive side stretches to around 5 to 6cm in e middle section, with e lower end just under the P letter and stretches up...
I tried to use the Nook screen calibration app but didnt helped, i also reflashed CM7 and Mirage-CM7 over multiple times but still same issue...
Any idea wats going on? It was still working find few days ago
I have just recently started having the same problem on my phone. My HTC EVO 3D is running on D3RPs ICS ROM and I just recently noticed the problem, but I have not tried anything to attempt to fix it yet. Have you made any new discoveries since posting this?

I suspect might be a hardware problem... I reflashed the rom, installed another rom and factory reset but nth helps....
Seems to be not software problem....:crying::crying:

Hi everyone! I broken the screen of my P9 Plus, and there isn't official support for that phone in my country, so I had to buy a new screen+touch module and install it by myself. The installation was ok, but now the screen precision is terrible. Also I lost the 3d touch function and the possibility of screen capture with double knock.
So that repairship was very sad
Is possible that the screen module was SO fake? or did i omit any procedure? I don't know, may be like as a hard reset, or a recalibration... I didn't found nothing about that on the internet. Anyone with same experience?

I want to tell you that I returned the failed screen module. I will N E V E R buy here in Argentina again.
I bought a new screen module on eBay, from China, and now the screen precision is ok. The screen works mostly well, BUT... Im still without knuckle gestures and Force Touch functions...
So, I still with this issue... partly.
Besides, I get a little flashing or blinking (or flickering, sorry for my bad english, how should I call this? the screen turns off for 1 second and then returns to normal) every so often... I mean, every 2 or 3 minutes approximately. Maybe more.
Is there anything I can do? Any similar experience?
Help please, I read a lot on the internet and I did not find comments regarding experiences in screen changes on P9 Plus.

The problem is that there are no professionals working with this model here. That is why I have changed screen by miself. I hadnt another choice...

I was watching carefully the screen that I have ordered, and I noted that it has a little window in lower left side... But there is nothing inside...
Like this: (look at lower left side of the screen, a little "orange window")

Please... I need to know if I'm right when I say this could be related with Force Touch and knock-knock special functions...
