i synced my tilt today and got an error. i didn't think anything of it. but later i noticed all my contacts are gone and calender is wiped out. the email and txt button on the home screen doesn't even work. i have deleted partnership in activesync is to success. i got the error 80004005
i have the stock att 6.1 rom
i guess my last resort will be to do a hard reset. has anyone else had this problem?

But I was using 2.2 when this problem first occurred. After I got my Phone to sync up with the exchange server at work it stopped being able to sync up through WMDC 6.1.6965
I get a Red X with an ERROR
So I backed up my data and hard reset my device which didn't resolve the issue
After that I installed the new ROMeOS 2.3 on my device and the problem disappeared, I was able to sync through WMDC fine, but as soon as I Synced it to Exchange I lost that functionality again.
Anyone know how I may resolve this or what I may have done wrong? Is it a problem with the ROM?
Solutions for your problem could be found easier if you mention what kind off error message you get. Different errors need different sulutions.

I am using a HTC Diamond and have this EXACT problem! The error is simply a big error sign with the red x sign right? I tried ending the partnership, uninstalling device drivers and such but still cannot get it to even establish a partnership (let alone sync with errors)....THe phone shows a connected sign but it isn't even showing a connection on WMDC.
These issues happened after I used exchange server.
If anyone here has an answer, I would love to hear it too!

I am suffering from the same problem. I have an omnia phone, it was syncing very fine one month ago but i had to format my laptop and reinstall all the software again, afterwhich my pda totally lost its connection with my laptop.
it is connected and on my phone it shows that it is connected, but the WMDC shows a red cross with error and that's it, it doesn't give me any option to do. it is just a big green screen with a red cross on the bottom left corner.
same error here. anyone has a solution?
Just developed this problem after trying to copy over a 32gb file to my phone...
tried all the obvious: hard reset, re install wmdc, deleted partnerships
randomly started working just now, have no idea what I did. I just unplugged it a few times and re plugged it back in.

Same problem with Diamond
I am also having the same problem on my diamond after I transfered a large file. I have tried reinstalling WMDC and the bootloader and rom, I am still having this problem... Any help would be great.

Has anyone else experienced this?
No matter how I try and access my email, sms or mms on my v1615 it just won't load, so I can't access any emails, etc.
It went from working fine one minute, to not working at all the next.
I've soft reset and rebooting, but it's the same. I'm thinking now that I may have to hard reset, which I don't really want to do.
Also the HTC today plugin, no matter how many times I disable it, it always turns back on when I reset, it's driving me mad!!!
Well, I posted on modaco too and someone pointed me in the right direction and I found the answer.
I needed to delete the inbox folder on the storage card, as soon as I did that everything worked again. A quick resync and all attachements are resynced to the storage card.

now, I had pushmail configured on my tytn 2, all running smooth on my wm 6.5 build, as I went on vacation my password expired and when I got back to work today I wanted to change my password on my pc as well as on my PDA.
it went well, BUT... I can't seem to store incoming mail in the correct folder.
I can send and receive stuff, but as soon as it is in the mailbox and I , for example reply to it and afterwords get back to the inbox the mail is gone....
I can sync both through my pc and via GPRS with no problem, it syncs my task, contacts etc, just not my mail, tho it is marked in the exchange menu.
it doesn't state that it is having issue's with syncing, no error code what so ever.
I tried everything I could imagine, soft reset, hard reset, deleting hard reset, new account, basicly everything I tried to start back from scratch.
when I first flashed to the wm 6.5 build, I had no issue's what so ever, pushmail was working flawlessly.
did anybody encounter this as well? and is there a solution for it?

Not sure if anyone else experiences this problem but my email counter does not reset. You know that little number on the envelope on the email tab. Even though I have no emails at the moment it says "2" ...
I have tried emptying all folders, removing the account and re-adding but nothing works.
A hard reset works, but I have already done that once - I need an easier way to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas?
which rom are you using? how did u flash? is it still happening after hard reset?

Im using the latest official HTC rom with Swedish 2.03.413.2 SVE
If was updated through the tool on HTC's homepage, as I said a hard reset will work. But it takes hours to bring the phone back to its original state and this error will happen over and over again.

I am a total spaz when it comes to these things, but you all have never steered me wrong before, so here goes.
I kept getting an message about storage space the other day and accidentally performed a hard reset on my Tilt II. Dumb, I know, but it happens. Thankfully, all of my files were reinstalled when I synced my phone. All was well, called out an hour before I got home tonight, but I shortly discovered that the "phone" part of my phone was not working at all. No contacts, no nothing, not even pulling up the screen to dial out. I did a few soft resets, took out the SIM and the battery, to no avail. I thought I would try to sync it again and see if that helped.
Well, I kept getting a message saying that my device could not be connected to ActiveSync, so, like an idiot, I read a blog that said to overwrite with ActiveSync 4.5, which I did, and delete the existing sync settings on my phone. I was understanding that all of my info would be preserved on the PC and that I would just need to reconnect my phone.
Well, I don't have the setup disc and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it working again. It seems that the only programs available are for Vista, but I have XP. I have no idea if it stems from the phone being jacked or what.
Please help!
