Hi everyone,
I've got a problem with my Diamond, in that when I get an incoming call, most of the time I inadvertently press the accept or reject softkeys while pulling it out of my pocket (through the case).

Is there any way to disable the softkeys, so that only the hard buttons work for accepting or rejecting a call? I haven't been able to find a solution searching.
Thanks,
NM

Use TouchLockPro (see my signature) and set LockTouchPanelOnly = 1.

I have a TyTn II and am very satisfied with it. However I have an annoying problem and would appreciate any help to fix it. When I have an incoming call, according to the instruction manual I can answer either by pressing the "Call" button (the one with the green telephone symbol) or by touching the softkey for "answer" (or the area on the touchscreen where "answer" is written). In practice, only the second method works. I have lost calls by insisting on keeping the call button pressed instead of using the softkey.
The call button works just fine for accessing the phone dialer, so it is not a hardware problem. Is there somewhere in the registry where the call button has to be mapped to answer incoming calls?
I live in Italy and use TIM as a provider. This should not influence things at all.
I am having a similar problem with my Mogul, except neither the green call button nor the "answer" softkey will work for me.
Hi,
Good day, I have HTC Kaiser with official Windows 6.1.
My problems are :
1 ) Sometimes when my phone ring and I reject the call it doesn't reject it. it keeps ringing until the network disconnect this call. I solve this problem by soft-reset.
2 ) I need to change the default input method from Arabic-Keyboard to English-Keyboard. I did this some time ago but it return back to Arabic.
3 ) I sync my mobile at home and work. Every time I have to uncheck Contacts form sync menu and check it again to make sync work.
4 ) It's not a problem but I bought a bluetooth hands-free device and I would like to know what's the best way to use it, is it by turn device bluetooth on all the time. I need some tips a bout this.
Thanks a lot.

How are you attempting to reject the call? If you press the red hangup button when the call comes in but the phone keeps ringing and the call doesn't go through to your voicemail box, it may be a faulty button on the phone as that button should silence any incomming call.

If you have the HTC official ROM in World Wide English (WWE) that includes an English keyboard so if your settings aren't sticking, a hard reset may be the quickest way to solve the problem.

See if the above hard reset has any effect on this too. As I only use Activesync for file transfer, I cant help with that one.

If you're expecting to receive calls through it all the time then you need to have the TyTN IIs bluetooth enabled all the time, how else is it going to communicate with the phone otherwise? To anticipate your next question, yes that uses lots of battery power so you may need a spare battery or two when you're out and about handsfree (or you could just use the wired headset that came with the phone for no additional battery drain).
As for the ring vs vibrate and ring, if you've setup a customised ring for certain individuals, that would explain why it behaves differently when a call comes in from one person compared to another. Are these sim contacts or outlook contacts?

Hi, when I want to reject the call I mute the phone by using the wheel button then press the red button "reject button" or touch the screen on "reject" word. None of the above work. They all failed. The phone not ringing but the call doesn't end. This happen from time to time. Not always.

Yes, my ROM is WWE and I installed FJE application and I want the default input method to be Keyboard.

I don't have any contact with special ringtone, all my contacts are Outlook.

Hi all,
I have a problem with my diamond either answering or rejecting a call without my intentional input because the screen gets touched when I remove it from either the supplied htc sleeve case or just my pocket.
Is there a way to disable the touch screen even when a call is incoming unless I unlock it in the standard way or press the actual answer button.
I don't think I can live with this phone constantly answering calls I want to ignore and rejecting calls I want to take as I get it out of my pocket to see who is calling.
I'd prefer a reg key method if possible but need something desperately.
Thanks
To combat this problem I installed this:

My call answer softkey is being very temperamental, when I receive a call and press the answer softkey it will change color so I know it is not a touchscreen responsiveness issue, but it doesn't pick up the call...sometimes. Sometimes the call will pick up on the first press and sometimes I'll hit it 100 time before the call goes unanswered (this is usually the case), my answer hardkey doesnt work either. anybody have any ideas, I would like to avoid a hard reset if possible, I'm using the sprint stock rom
I have a question that I usually put my HTC One into my pocket and when I receive a income phone call, it is a big problem for me when I get out my phone from pocket, my finger in this case may tap somewhere on the screen and from that I can answer the phone call without need to tap to the green phone icon to answer. Sometimes, it suddenly automatically end the incoming phone call, I don't know where I can touch to have this action and I'm trying to test again. Anyway, this problem is not convenient for me because there is somebody I don't really want to answer or someone I need to answer but I'm facing with the automatically end incoming phone call like this. Does anyone help me? Is there anyway to fix this problem??

I find it hard to imagine how taking the phone out of a pocket would slide the Answer Call button far enough to actually answer the call. Unless your screen was never off, answering a call while it is locked requires you to slide the Answer button quite far into the middle of the screen before it's answered.
You seem to be having the same issue that someone else here had, but he fixed it somehow. I asked what he did but he never replied ):
The big problem is that i just only need to tap everywhere on the screen to answer without need to slide the green answer icon Anyone help me??????????
You can try asking the OP in this thread for the solution. He had the same problem and he somehow fixed it, but he didn't say how.
