NBA Game Time
This free app was released earlier today. I tried to download it but kept getting "Download Unsuccessful," which may be due to the fact that I'm running HTC Magic. Well, I just looked for it again in the market and try again when I couldn't find it.
Would anyone happen to have the apk I could download from here? It'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hey guys,
Just a quick one, NBA.com announced a new app for the G1:
http://www.nba.com/mobile/
Unfortunately it seems the link is broken when trying to download for anyone outside of the states. Would any kind hearted soul like to share this with the die hard Bulls fans outside of the state. Oh and possibly the other 31 teams other people may also unwilling choose to follow
It's a free app, so I would hope / think it should be ok no?
It is located in the private files so I don't think we can post it on here.
this app is so tight...i don't know if you could get it on here cause it's a protected app too. if theres a way you can hit me up and i'll see what i can do for you.
best i can do
the dev's email is: [email protected]
The dev's phone number is:4048273915 (pretty sure is a US number so iif you not in US dial 1 first)

Just a quick bump. NO idea why the Dev would disallow international users from downloading this free app. Anyone got a working APK?

Thanks man, just PM'd you.
How I can get this app???
Where can I get this application from outside US?
Can anyone post the new market version 1660 or point me to where I can get it. I believe this eneables t mobile charging
Vending.apk is a closed-source app, also known as WAREZ. No one will post that for you, and your thread will most likely be closed for requesting it. And what are you even talking about? "T-mobile charging?" Do you mean that you cant see paid apps in the market? if so, it has nothing to do with the version of vending.apk you have anyways. You need to search for 'Market Enabler" on google code and install that .apk and it will help you fake a provider so that paid apps will show up. No WAREZ necessary.

He's probably talking about t-mobile rolling out carrier billing on the market for their android devices. I'm actually curious as to how we could acquire this without using warez, seeing as how it's a carrier specific application upgrade. I don't really have a need for it, but good for t-mobile.
ps
@socawarrior101 I'm pretty sure you need a version beyond 1660, i have that version already and there's no option for carrier billing.

actually closed source apps arent warez. its basically apps that require payment. so you dont have to be dumbass and disrespectful. plus ALL ROMs HERE except for (cyanogen and non-working hero 2.1 roms) have google appz. so why dont u complain abt them being "warez"
and if u actually knew what was going on...tmobile is rolling out an upgrade to the market which enables the user to buy apps using 1) their google checkout account or 2)their tmobile account

You seem to have a habit of correcting people without having all the facts yourself ;-) Just because something's free of charge to obtain, doesn't mean you have the right to distribute it. Unless you are officially licsened by Google, then you are not allowed to distribute their closed source apps. Just because most devs do it doesn't mean they shouldn't.
From Wikipedia: ""Warez" refers primarily to copyrighted works traded in violation of copyright law." Sounds like warez to me.

is anyone going to post something useful or keep whining like little girls about someone elses useless post, just to add your 2 cents of uselessness?
Anyone at all have any info? I don't really need the carrier billing, but I like being up to date with everything android!
I tried going through cyanogen's thread but didn't get much info there.

yeah, gmail. forgot about that part

trying to install...
I'm at work with no access to adb, but should be home within the hour. Hopefully adb will work.
I've tried using the terminal to install:
(system already set to read/write) su
install /sdcard/vending.apk /system/app/vending.apk
I get no errors through terminal (same thing with facebook ver. 111) but the icon disappears and I have no access to the market.
I've tried using the rooted browser, SUFBS, to just overwrite (copy & paste) the new market over the old one, but the same thing happens, my market icon disappears and I have no access.
Hopefully ADB will give me some better results...
You will have to edit the build.trout.prop file in /system (most likely, test keys need to be changed to the sholes version). Even if this gets it to start, the likelihood of a big issue (no paid apps, etc) is nontrivial.
TV.com and E! Online are both favorites of my wife. However after flashing the Eris with the leaked 2.1 build, neither are visible in market. Both are free software.
I tried to rip them off of my MotoDroid, but Astro deems them to be off-limits to backing up because they are stored in a "private" location.
Anyone familiar with how to get around this, and or courld kindly provide links to the apks if they are able to get them? Again, this software is free and was available while she was running 1.5 so, I don't think there are any legal or ethical lines crossed here.
Much obliged!
this may want to be put somewhere like?... general? themes and apps?
definitely not related to development of any kind.
I would put it under the apps section. But again as the popular statement goes use Google for TV.com.apk. Basically use search. Or Androlib.com will more than likely have it.
Does anyone know why some 2.0/2.1 apps will not show up in the market for an Eris running 2.1? I thought the only limitation to seeing apps in the market was meeting the minimum SDK version.
Hoping someone can fill me in.
Thanks in advance.

Google has to admit Eris 2.1 users to the market for protected apps. Until release, we won't have that admission.
I'd like to reiterate the above question about getting the .apk for tv.com. I know it's been answered why we cannot obtain it, but I noticed the last post was over a month ago and was wondering if there has been any possibilities since the last post.
Thanks!

jcase is working on a patch for the market so that protected apps will show up in the market. there is no ETA for a release for it, but he is working on it.
Thank you t2noob you are awesome!!!!
I bought ROM manager premium through the paypal link in the app. Now that i've moved back to the N1 from the NS (i bought it when i was on the NS), i don't see any way to activate premium features without paying again. am i missing something?

I'm not a Twitter pro or anything... but I think as long as you preface your tweet by @koush, he'll see your message and will probably respond. He's a good guy and won't screw you over...so just get in touch with him.
ok thanks guys just did it. hope it works.
Does the rom transfer between phones? Just asking--
Can you copy your TB backup or whole sd card from the s to n sd card so the n sees those apps and knows you have rom mgr

You can probably also get his email by clicking on 'Send email to the developer'.
Actually, just checked, you don't even have to click on it. His email is right there on the page.
You know every app on the Market has the developer's email, right?

yeah i knew about that, but i'm still getting used to the new market layout (that, and a brain fart). I tried the website but it looks like it's no longer up. thanks again everyone!
Now i feel really dumb, esp. since i've gotten help from other app devs the same way in the past.
Sorry, I just re-read my message and it sounds kind of snarky. Don't feel bad for forgetting about that, everyone has brain farts.

thanks for the apology, but i didn't take it that way.
Honestly, after seeing your response the first time, I just felt so dumb. I didn't get the app from the market, but I should've known to check there anyway.
dude doesn't respond to tweets or emails. Starting to piss me off.
if i would have known trying to save 1 dollar was gonna cause me this much headache.....
join the crowd
never got a response
now use amon_ra
I have the exact same problem. I tried to contact him by email but he does not reply. Will try to contact him via Twitter.
It really pisses me off.
Just wanted to see if this got rectified? I recently did the reverse of the OP. Switched from the Nexus One up to the Nexus S. Premium isn't showing up on the NS.
nope. I just won't support the dev anymore. if one really wants to pay for this app, go thru the market. the dollar isn't worth the headache.
also waiting for response
i also buyed via Paypal cause i dont have a credit card (Market only accept Credit-card)
i changed rom and cannot activat premium features
will try to get money back from paypal (45days!)
hope he will response in next few days
greetings
If it were me, I would find alternative means of getting the software. You already paid for the license. If the dev don't wanna support his own product, either don't use it, or find another place to download it. There are many places to obtain android apps.
I don't like spreading this because I support the developers and truly appreciate the work they do. But I also don't like to see ppl cheated out of their money whether it was intentional or not. I'll tell you how to get that app from the market without paying. Just shoot me a pm.
Sent from my Motorola Olympus
I am another person who bought via PayPal, thinking it would save me $1 and put more $ in the developers pocket rather than the Android market taking it. I originally purchased it back in January 2011 and now cannot get my new device to show that it is the premium version without purchasing on the Android Market... Did anyone find a solution to this or get a reply from Koush?
I had paid for a digital/analog clock (called RealDark or something like that) a month or two ago, but it has disappeared.
It's no longer listed in my paid apps and no combination of search terms can locate it. I googled the app name and found that it was pulled from an alternative android market as well.
Anyone know why an app that you've paid for can simply be made unavailable to a customer?!

Apps unpublished by a developer remain on the Market servers for users who have already paid to download as well as licensing.
However, if the app was legitimately pulled (not unpublished) for a violation of TOS or DMCA style take down request it would not be available.
It was just a clock, from a prolific, highly-rated developer. What gives?

Couldn't find the developer either - his name was Eodyumbel or something like that. He created a lot of Go Launcher themes, add-ons, etc.
Dammit.

Good thinking. Hopefully it's not one of the very few emails that I've deleted. I typically board emails, so I should have it.

Out of curiosity, what was the app and who was the developer?
It was called something like RealDark digital analog clock. The dev went by Eodyumbel, or something similar.
It's just a clock, but it pisses me off because I paid real money for it ($1 or $2). What if it'd been SPB Shell or something pricey??

I probably do have a backup on the pc. This is a newer phone and I don't like restoring apps from Ti backups - I'll do it in a pinch, but I prefer to install fresh from the market since I switch roms so often.
If it wasnt removed by the dev, i advise using "market-enabler" from the market, to fake anouther country/provider and then find your app. I had the same problem with a railway-app.
