I got my X1i about two month ago
Everything is ok with it before I flashed the hard spl and a new rom
The battery can last for about 3 days, and I could charge it when the battery is too low that the phone closed itself
Here is my problem...
One week ago, I got my X1i flashed, hard spl then a new rom
Then, the battery cannot last even for a day(12 hours), the battery got about 10% down for an hour! And I cannot charge it when the battery is too low that the phone closed itself any more
Even I flashed my X1i with the stock spl and rom, it didn't go normally like I first flashed my X1i before.
I'm so disapointed now...Is there anyone that can help me?!
By the way, I flashed my Xi1 by using the SD card.
Flash your radio to 1.14, that helped me immensely.

Oh well, I will try it later, thank you.
Ahh...God bless me...
I bought a new battery, and it still goes down at a speed of 10% an hour...
And the stock ROM and RADIO and HARDSPL cannot fix it...
I guess my X1i's hardware got an error when I flash the HARDSPL...
Is there anyway to fix it?
Can any software cause this?
I may get my X1i repaired tomorrow...
Flash the ROM and Radio you want to. But after Flash, do one or two Hardresets! (both softkey hold and softreset)
Make sure you fully charge the battery whilst the phone is completely off.
crabby
I did do hardreset after flash a rom, well, I'll try hardreset for some more time...
Yes, I'm sure that I full charged the battery.
No... full charge whilst on is different to full charge whilst off. Make sure phone is off. This is because the phone can think the amount when it first boots is full and if it does it wont charge to full capacity when on until you fully charge it when off.

Hi
i installed the new rom
RUU_Prodigy_2170702_21707102_20710_QTEK_WWE_Ship.exe
ok and it seems fine other then one thing
dont know why but i m noticing that there is a lot of battery being used
so i need advice or fix or something that will be helpful for me to stop this draining of the battery without any reason before the install of this rom my phone never used to eat this much of battery
Can some please help
I have a Tmobile MDA (USA)
I think I know what's happening. One of the cabs in the extended ROM is responsible; perhaps the AKU 2.0 (push email). I've installed the extended rom unlock tool on the ftp and installed only the cabs that I need from the extended rom. If it's one of those, I'll post back and let you know. I do not use push email, so the AKU 2.0 ROM is not one of them.
Anyone else?
Sure thanks alot
and please when u will tell me can you tell me the details of how to go about making changes so that i can do to help my mda`s battery life coz i new to all this rom and stuff
Thanks a million
After playing with this thing this afternoon...I've come to the conclusion that when you do a soft reset while the device is plugged in, the battery shows up 100% charged. It rapidly declines to the actual level and then slows down its discharge to acceptable levels. The best way to get an actual reading is to turn off the device using the software reset (hold down the power button until the device gives the option to power off) and then put it on the charger for a few hours. I think that actually gives it a full charge and you'll be set. The new battery driver (along with that bloody battery icon in the today bar) is not the best thing is it?
hey i will surely try this and once i m done doing it
i will get back to you with the results
Thanks for all your help buddy
Yes, great, that other peoples noticed this thing too...
After installing some file from the ex_rom, my battery doesn´t show the right position...
I made the updates a few days before and the problem surely came with one of this ne cab-files...
Any possibility to remove this files, cause i don´t need AKU2, yet....
Thanks a lot...
*****EDIT*****
I removed the Tool Batti from the system...
seems to work much better now....
my phone´s battery is empty in less then half a day since a few weeks. before that is least at least two days. sometimes it´s just the whole day in my pocket and it start vibrating when empty. And als my power button stopped working.
I dont know what to do i need help please help me fast!
I tried every thing changing rom and hard resets nothing helps
Do you have a data connection, bluetooth or wifi turned on? These are known to drain your batter. Have you done any modifications to your phone ie changing Rom, Radio?
I have the same problam, my battery is empty within aprox. 4-6hours. The weird thing is that android itself uses about 97% of the battery.
Info: I have changed the default rom, radio - is that the reason?

i changed rom and radio and did hard spl. i restored to original htc rom (not sure radio, could someone tell me what version is the original) can i remove hard spl completly?
Would buying a new accu fix most of the problem
either get back to old rom or update your radio and Rilphone. Do some research and see for yourself which radio version and Rilphone will suite you best with your cooked rom.
Im using radio 1.17.25.09 and i noticed that my battery life is longer then before with my old 900mah battery.

HI
My wife has my old Touch Diamond2. She complains that after charging it overnight, the battery shows as FULL, but within a few hours it is dsicharged.
1. Does the battery need replacing
2. How can I check to confirm it is the battery and not the charger/phone.
regards
Max

Thanks Senax for the nice link.. That is very nice thread to read and understand

I think the phone possibly has a hardware fault.
It strange, because if I take the simm out the phone keeps alomost full charge for the whole day!!
Not sure if its worth fixing.

May be you can check what all kind of networks are working/used when SIM is in? Also make the network selection Manual instead of AUTO and see the difference.
thanks.

lfallasm...
Thanks lfallasm and TD2IN
I dont want to flash the phone cos I have software (TomTOm) on the phone for which I no longer have the original CD to re-install. Also I have never flashed before.
I will try the network selection suggestion.
cheers
Network selection is already set to Manual.
I noticed something very STRANGE today.
I thought it maybe due to the signal in the new house we moved to, so I took the phone to work. Made one call and it went dead. Tried to start the phone, but battery to weak.
I took the sim out. started the phone without the sim and HEY PRESTO, battery is 75% full!!
Any ideas whats going on??
You should really flash it first, and if it fails you have a faulty phone. But flash it with HTC stock Rom, because you will lose waranty if you use anything else.
Its out of warranty. (My wife uses this phone now)
Would a FACTORY reset achieve the same as flashing with a HTC stock rom??
regards
FIXED.
The battery was faulty.
Apparently is had developed a slight "buldge" in the middle. Probably due to over heating.
Bought a new battery and all seems well.
£8 battery saved me buying a wildfire S for the wife.
Please, i need help:
I have trouble with the battery of my HTC Incredible S.
It reaches 100% but when you disconnect it drops to 95% and is never 100%, and then the burden will fall rapidly.
To calibrate the battery, my HTC need to be root, but it is H1.16 Boot, and does not yet have S-OFF.
The question I want to do is:
If I reinstall 2.3.3 Gingerbread official, I can solve this problem? The installation of the ROM reinstall the binary files as well, so as batterystats.bin?
If the answer is yes, how can I reinstall 2.3.3 Gingerbread, which program should I use and how to choose the right ROM for my HTC?
Thank you for your attention.
I think it's designed that way unfortunately.. Does the battery at least last you the whole day? Measuring the battery by simply looking at how fast it initially drops is really inaccurate. See how long it lasts you instead!
When it reaches 100%, I disconnect of energy and goes to 95%.
I've tried various alternatives to calibrate manually, but failed.
She is always 95% and then falls off quickly.
If my HTC could be root, could solve this.
So I asked if reinstalling gingerbread solves this, and how reinstall and choose correct ROM...
Thanks.
Sorry my english, i'm speak portuguese only...

I would not worry about it. Mine has done the same thing since the day I got it. Mine is S-OFF and rooted and I can get 2 days of use out of a charge, despite the fact that it drops to 95% as soon as I unplug it. As the previous poster suggested look at the overall usage you get out of a charge rather than focusing on that first 5%.
Yeah, nothing to fret unless you are having like really low battery life.
you still can definitely go ahead & install any custom ROM, it would anyhow boost your battery performance
hi guys, i'm getting really pissed off right now
i''ve got my phone for 3 months now and it worked like charm till the last month
every time my phone shutdown randomly , and when i restart it, my battery level is under the 10%
even if i charge it the whole night till 100%, after i use it a few minutes it shutsdown and the battery will be very low.
sometimes it doesn't even turn on anymore.
i can't use my phone now only when its charging because it doesn't shutdown then.
I've tried everything that i could think of, i've recalibrated the battery , installed different roms but i got the problem with every rom.
i've even tried it with a ics rom but still got the same problem
someone please help me
my phone had the same problem i have flash any costum rom but nothing and then i have flashed a stock original rom for fix that....and then retry a costum rom.
have you try to wipe /system /sdcard /data /cache /delik-cache and then flash a stock original rom with odin ?

I have the exact same problem, am about to buy a new battery tomorrow unless someone else has another solution? This might not be the proper forum but in here at least many i9001 users will read it.
I've had this problem for about a week, was very annoying while on holiday. I've tried using BroodROM BE 1.0, Stock KQE and now back to stock KPG.
Try ebay - you can easily find decent batteries for 5$ there.

Well yes I'm going to try a different battery soon but the odd thing is after my battery charge seems to drop down to 5% or so, it starts charging to about its original charge level without a charger connected. So it's basically 80%->drop to 5%->charge back to 60% without charger.
i'll try now to do a hard reset, go back to stock rom, then reinstall an costum rom,
will tell you if it works!
Plz mods remove/delete this sheeyat.. this is
Galaxy S Plus I9001 Android Development
i have used TeamWin Recovery for wipe all partition becouse with hard reset don't wipe /system and internal sd.

I thought I was the only one with this problem. I charge my battery to full and it starts draining normally. Then, when around 30-80% battery remaining, it turns off. It only turns off when you use it for a while, when the screen is off it stays on normally. After rebooting it turns off within a minute or so. This continues for a few reboots with the battery level remaining roughly the same. Eventually after a few boots it shows 3-4% of battery, after which I of course have to charge. Also tried calibrating and tried different roms but it still remains. I ALSO SWAPPED MY BATTERY WITH A FRIEND BUT IT DIDN'T HELP! It worked like a charm for him but I still got turn offs with his battery.
If i were you Guys, i would install stock rom and hand in my phone under warranty ( of course if you still have it ). Because if this occurs even when u swap battery, let samsung play with you phone then
Its not your battery..restore your phone to the way it was and give it to samsung
i'm getting pissed of now, even with the stock rom it randomly shutsdown.
i don't have any warrenty so i can't give it back to samsung
In case anyone's still wondering, in my case it did turn out to be a fried battery. If anyone else is experiencing the same issues I was, just check your battery to see whether or not it is swollen. If it's bigger than it should be, that probably means it's fried and you should replace it. I'm happily running custom roms without any trouble again now, and battery life is awesome!

Hi guys,
I also have this problem, my phone randomly turns off and when I turn it on, it shows much less remaining battery percentage than before. (please see attached image) After turning on the value is increasing, sometimes from ~5% to 30-40% or more...
Now I have CM10 Jelly Bean flashed, but CM9 did the same sometimes but much more rarely than on JB. Today the phone 'died' three times until noon.

Yeah that's the exact same problem I had. In my case it turned out to be a fried battery, see if it's swollen or not, if you lay your battery on a table it should stay still and not wobble around. If the battery's not flat but swollen that means your battery is fried. In this case good news because you can easily replace it

unfortunately it is absolutely not swollen, its fully flat :\
besides this I put out the battery now and put it back and it is showing only 2% percent of battery so maybe my battery is wrong
UPDATE: after uninstalling the pro version of Battery Indicator there were no random shutdowns at all, but the free version is fine o.0
